Herman Cain Says that Blacks Have Been Brainwashed into Voting for Democrats
Republican Presidential 2012 primary candidate Herman Cain says … African-Americans have been brainwashed into voting for Democrats. When a demographic supports the Democrat party with 95% of the vote, receives in return a record 17% unemployment and still unanimous supports the Democrat party … its hard to argue. Of course, had it been some other republican that made such a comment, they would have been branded as a racist.
The one African-American running for the GOP presidential nomination said Wednesday the black community was ‘brainwashed’ for traditionally siding with liberal politicians.
“African-Americans have been brainwashed into not being open minded, not even considering a conservative point of view,” Godfather’s Pizza executive Herman Cain said on CNN’s “The Situation Room” in an interview airing Wednesday between 5-7 p.m. ET. “I have received some of that same vitriol simply because I am running for the Republican nomination as a conservative. So it’s just brainwashing and people not being open minded, pure and simple.”
Weasel Zippers adds … replace “Jewish’ with “Blacks” and you have the same accurate statement. Agreed.
One has to wonder why Blacks put all of their eggs in one basket, in political terms it makes them irrelevant. You have one party that will not care to target them because they only receive 5% of the vote and you have another, in Democrats, that just take them for granted. At some point, even if its just to send a message to Democrats, blacks need to rethink their vote in order to be relevant. There is a reason why the Independent vote is courted … they are perceived to be open-minded.

Cain: Blacks Are ‘Over This First African-American President Thing’
Published September 26, 2011
GRETA VAN SUSTEREN, FOX NEWS HOST: “The Rodney Dangerfield of Republican politics,” not getting any respect from Republican Party establishment? Well, that’s what Mr. Herman Cain has called himself. But his view must have changed this view and a lot of other people when the Florida straw poll voters showed Mr. Herman Cain respect, big-time respect! In the straw poll in Florida over the weekend, Mr. Herman Cain clobbered the GOP front-runners, Governor Rick Perry and former governor Mitt Romney. It wasn’t even close!

CAIN: My message is resonating, not because of my color but because the message is simple, and it is sticking to the American people in terms of actually making a difference.

CAIN: I think that they’re over this first African-American president thing. I think that is behind them. Here’s what’s going to do it, Greta, growing this economy. Growing this economy is what’s foremost on the minds of black Americans, Hispanic Americans, ALL AMERICANS.

VAN SUSTEREN: If you become president, are you going to — is there anything you’re going to do differently about the drug cartels and the violence that — down in that country from a humanitarian standpoint, as well as from a national security standpoint for us?
CAIN: Let’s start with the national security standpoint. I am going to secure the border for real. That’s step one. I don’t know why previous administrations, including this one as well as the Bush administration, didn’t get serious about securing the border. Maybe they didn’t want to offend our neighbor. I’m not concerned about offending them. I’m more concerned about protecting Americans. So that’s job number one.
Secondly, yes, I’m not — I can’t worry about humanitarian reasons inside Mexico right now until we make sure that we deal with what’s happening in this country and what’s leaving this country. You’ve heard about some of the scandals in terms of weapons, you know, that were going from the United States that ended up in the hands of the drug cartels. We have got to get serious about defending the borders and defending our laws here in the United States first. Those are going to be my two top priorities. Then I’ll deal with humanitarian issues that might be happening in Mexico.

Cain: Black community ‘brainwashed’ into voting for Dems
September 28th, 2011
“This whole notion that all African-Americans are not going to vote for Obama is not necessarily true,” Cain said.
He continued, “I believe a third [of African-Americans] would vote for me, based on my own anecdotal feedback. Not vote for me because I’m black but because of my policies.”

Herman Cain Gains Stature Among GOP Faithful
By Doug McKelway
Published September 29, 2011
Cain’s strength comes as his latest book is poised for release on October 4th. Entitled, “This is Herman Cain,” the book details his growing up in the segregated South, his rise through corporate America, his battle with cancer and his admiration for his father Luther, who Cain says, “had a PhD in common sense.”
One passage reads, “One of the most important lessons Dad taught us was not to feel like victims. He never felt like a victim; he never expressed one ‘victim’ attitude the whole while I knew him. It was his inner self-determination. He just never had that attitude, so we didn’t have that attitude.”
Cain continues to raise eyebrows with his blunt, often politically incorrect opinions.

Hat tipped to Mr. Cain for his integrity and honesty.
When will people listen and understand that as Janet points out—-it truly is IDEOLOGY and not RACE that should be the issue in EVERY ELECTION!
Love it.
I bet Mr. Cain won’t be hiding his college transcripts from the public! It would be interesting if he were to challenge Obama to compare grades.
________________
SM: Herman also would not wait 2 years to show his birth certificate. Cain puts it out on the table and its for the voter to take it or leave it. Obama said he would be transparent and has turned out to be quite the opposite.
I could vote for Herman Cain, and if for some reason he does not get the GOP nomination, I hope the one who does takes a look at making him VP.

IDEOLOGY … NOT RACE … IS THE ISSUE
I am disappointed that Hermain Cain appears to be playing the race card. I truly believed that he was one candidate who focused ONLY on the issues …the issues that face ALL Americans.
Undermining other GOP candidates on any topic other than their position on the issues facing ALL Americans implies that Cain is diverting from the high road.
I wish Cain had thought one/twice/three times about his words.
