Former Secretary of State Colin Powell Says “I haven’t decided who I’m going to vote for” in 2012 Presidential Election

This morning on CBS’s ‘Face the Nation’, Former Secretary of State Colin Powell stated that he had not “decided who he was going to vote for” in the 2012 Presidential election. It appears that Colin Powell has lost that Obama Luvin’ Feeling.After having crossed party lines and voting for Obama in 2008, Powell said that he was not necessarily going to support Obama for reelection in 2012. Really Colin? What was your first inkling to think this?

Former Secretary of State Colin Powell, who famously crossed party lines to vote for President Obama in 2008, said today that he’s not necessarily supporting the president for reelection in 2012.

“I haven’t decided who I’m going to vote for,” Powell said on CBS’ “Face the Nation.” “Just as was the case in 2008, I am going to watch the campaign unfold. In the course of my life I have voted for Democrats, I have voted for Republicans, I have changed from one four-year cycle to another.

Powell stated that there are plenty of interesting Republican candidates and that he will take a look; however, did not commit nor state who he thought was the front runner. The question that should have been asked of Powell and for obvious reasons was not by CBS was … in the past Mr. Powell you praised Barack Obama’s leadership style in 2008 in endorsing him and stated that before the election that Obama “has a definite way of doing business that will serve us well.” Do you still stand by those comments?

Where is that MSM asking those tough questions, holding Obama and those who endorsed for his feet to the fire?

Seriously Secretary Powell, “Where’s your Moses now”? You said he had a way of doing business that would serve us well. What part about his community organizer style has served America well? Would it be the 9.1% unemployment, the continuous rise in first time unemployment benefits weekly, the pathetic GDP 1% growth, the fact that Obama has resided over the most rapid debt increase under any American President, or would it be Obama has showed no sign of leadership.

However, let’s analyze Colin Powell’s words for what they are … “I haven’t decided who I’m going to vote for.” With Powell having previously voted for Obama and the job, or lack there of that Obama has done as President, there is no way that Colin Powell is going to hitch his buggy to that horse. Who in their right mind would back an incumbent President with a downward trending job approval that is spiraling out of control. Also, a job approval in handling the economy that was in the 20′s. No way in hell and that’s change you can believe in.

   Colin is a well trained and decisive Military
   Man for which we are all very grateful. His
   political prowess does not show that much
   depth and understanding IMHO. What could
   he have known about Barry at the time he
   was thinking: “has a definite way of doing
   business that will serve us well.”? In a real
   situation, Colin would have had to consider
   all the factors bearing on the problem.

   Colin Powell was once one of this Canadian’s heros within the Republican party. This man had supported a conservative ideology from way back.

   Something akin to a prominent Black conservative radio show host … Powell’s support of Barack Obama who embraces an extreme left-wing had nothing to do with personal political ideology but … had everything to do with a racist agenda to elect a Black president.

   In the last election … Armstrong Williams and Colin Powell forgot that the color of a man/woman’s skin is not the factor when casting that precious vote for the highest office in one of the world’s greatest democracies … they forgot along with many Black Americans that the political ideology of the candidate is where it is at

   Besides being a wishy-washy character, his vote for Obama was strictly skin color, nothing else.

   The reasin I resent Powell is the fact, that he backstabbed Persident Bush- when he could have made a big difference, and solve the issue of Valerie Plame. His man-Richard Armitage- was the leaker to Robert Novak (RIP. Powell knew it, and remained silent with the rest of the State-Dept.
   Scooter Libby went to jail for their ‘crime’.

   Now, that Cheney wrote about, he’s coming out of the woodwork to whine.Naturally, he won’t address the issue directly, and admit that he knew-that would take character.
   There is that old thing called Kharma- in the end, liar, and deceivers are all getting snared.

   Dr. Martin Luther King had so much truth
   to offer General Powell in terms of a man’s
   value not being determined by the color
   of his skin. Colin should take note!
