RSSDemocrat House Speaker Nancy Pelosi Calls back Reps to Vote on $26 Billion Union Bail Out
Once again we are witness to a so-called jobs bill from the Democrats that is nothing more than a payoff to the unions.
House Speaker Nanacy Pelosi has called back the US House of Reprsentative members to vote on a $26 billion bailout of state union workers. When will the spending stop? When will the bail outs stop? Didn’t Obama and the Democrats state that the $787 billion stimulus plan was supposed to save the teacher, police and firemen jobs? So why are they not spending the remaining $400 billion from that failed stimulus bill instead of creating yet another?
Just a thought, how are these jobs ever going to be paid for by the states if they are always going to have to get a federal government bail out to keep them? Isn’t this just public sector, union unemployment? I realize this sounds like a novel concept, but states are going to have to cut their budgets and live within their means … that means altering the pension plans of these employees.
It’s not a matter that any one cares that a Congressman’s vacation was cut short, it is a matter than many US Reps had key and important functions to attend like town hall meetings and listening to their constituents, health care meetings and job fairs. Instead, it is back to DC to vote on spending even more of the tax payers money.
“I’m disappointed to say the least,” said Rep. Rob Bishop (R-Utah), who was forced to cancel a key town hall meeting.
“I think one of the problems Congress is suffering from right now is not enough time to listen to constituents, so it’s a little frustrating that Speaker Pelosi has chosen to interrupt the time working in our districts to make us all fly back to Washington to basically vote on one bill,” Bishop added. “This is not the greatest way to run Congress or the country.”
Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) was scheduled to speak at an event for National Health Center Week, but the event was postponed because of the vote.
“I’m disappointed that I had to cancel this week’s event marking National Health Center Week,” Hoyer said in a statement to POLITICO. “However, I think it is appropriate and necessary to return to session this week to vote on legislation to ensure that over 2,500 teachers in Maryland have jobs when children return to school this month.”
Indiana Rep. Mike Pence, a member of the Republican leadership, is canceling his appearance at the Ball State University job fair that his office organizes each year. Unemployment in Muncie, where the fair will be held, is hovering around 12 percent.

More insanity from the House. Speaker Pelosi’s demands are costly, inefficient and plain mind-numbing. Maybe all that Botox really has gone to Nan’s head and frozen her brain.
Don’t be fooled..most of this money is going to the unions and NOT to the actually teachers, workers, etc….
This is an attempt to decieve the American public before election season.

Pelosi just recently said there will be no more bailouts everyone is on their own…now this comes out….
Not only that, but review history and see how much money has been spent to “bail out teachers” (who can be against teachers!) since Barack Hussein Obama took office.
Politicians love to use youth, seniors and teachers as their excuses for spending wantonly. It’s criminal.
Maybe Pelosi is kin to the Tin Man in the wizard of oz. Remember his song, “If I only had a brain”?
Instead of voting on a bail out, the congress aught to be taking a look at the money spent on political campaigns by the teachers and state workers unions over the years. If they took pension money from the workers to fund campaigns, then they should not even consider bail outs.
Why should we bailout the unions, they misused the pension fund and more, it is criminal. The union officials drive brand new cars every two years. Why?
We know Democrats are only doing it because they
want the votes. Crooks, thieves, liars and more. Obama and his band of renegades are the worst thing this country has ever seen.
And let’s see an original birth certificate, not a certificate of birth which you could receive just by filing out a form and mailing it in, Hawaii allowed this during the year Obama was born. And why are all his documents sealed, college etc?,
