Hey Crude … Obama Says It Would be Wonderful Story if LeBron James Stays in Cleveland … Thought the BP Oil Spill was on His Mind Morning, Noon & Night!

Did you plug the leak yet daddy? No dear, I am doing more important things like discussing the future of LeBron James and doing a tribute to Paul McCartney. Who, daddy …  are they going to plug the damn hole daddy?

It would appear that President Barack Hussein Obama has other pressing things on his mind that are more important to the country than the BP oil spill disaster. Remember when Obama said he was on it and he thinks about it every waking moment. Really?

More of Obama on it since Day One

More from President Obama and Lost in Smallness … Chris Matthews was correct, Obama has no concept of the importance of events over others.

“This is more important than a Presidency. This President has not acted that way. He has not acted like this is more important than some thing else like a fund raiser in California or an interview about basketball with Marv Albert.

Tonight on Larry King Live I guess whether Bron Bron stays in Cleveland or goes elsewhere in free agency was more important. It would appear that the pressing issue of whether James stayed in Cleveland or went to Obama’s Chicago Bulls is something that deserves Presidential attention. Even on this issue Obama can’t have an affirmative answer.

The country’s basketball-fan-in-chief seemed to change his tune on NBA superstar LeBron James’ potential free agent destination on Thursday.

In an interview with CNN’s Larry King, President Barack Obama said it would be “wonderful story” if King James stays with his current team, the Cleveland Cavaliers.

I’ll be honest with you, and my folks in Chicago may be mad at me for saying this, but I think it’d be a wonderful story if LeBron says, you know what, I’m going to stay here in Cleveland,” he said. “He’s from Ohio. That’s a town that has had some tough times. For him to say, I’m going to make a commitment to this city, you know, I think would be a wonderful thing.”

It seems that Obama for for Bron, Bron going to the Bulls before he was against it.  Last month when Obama was thinking about the oil spill, not … he was doing an interview with Marv Albert discussing LeBron coming to the Chicago Bulls. Can any one please tell me with the state of the economy and the ecological disaster going on in the Gulf of Mexico why this President is talking basketball?

Obama raised some eyebrows in an interview with basketball announcer Marv Albert late last month when he said James would fit in well with Obama’s hometown team, the Chicago Bulls.

“You know, like I said, I don’t want to meddle,” Obama told Albert. “I will say this: [Bulls point guard Derrick] Rose, [Bulls forward] Joakim Noah it’s a pretty good core. You know, you could see LeBron fitting in pretty well there.”

America, what’s wrong with this picture? I guess the oil spill must have been stopped at the source. Seems like Obama is resting.

Hey Crude, HT: The Gateway Pundit

It could be worse, Obama could be yucking it up with Paul McCartney and paying tribute to him and others while Americans suffer in the Gulf Coast. Oh wait, he did.  How absolutely un-Presidential. He paid tribute to those in the Gulf Coast by telling them to eat cake. Hey Barack, how about another round of golf while you are at it.

I know this will be deleted, but he is a novlin. Did anyone expect anything different? I just thank god that he is going to screw this up so bad. Now everyone an an finally shut up about bush and Katrina. Remember bush was a racist even though 5 days before it hit he was all over the media saying everyone should get out? Maybe Obama is racist against whites. Does he are about beaches. No. Do blaks hang out at the beach?

[...] It’s official, it is a jobless recovery. This is just terrible jobs news as all of the 441K census jobs will be ending at the end of the summer. The markets are going to get hammered on this terrible jobs news. But wait, creating jobs was Obama’s #1 priority in his second year of his Presidency. That is when he is not thinking about the BP oil spill. Or if he is not golfing or paying tribute to Paul McCartney. [...]

I read that Paul McCartney was paying tribute to Obama and reprimanding Americans for critizing him, and my thought on that is simply “Who cares what Paul McCartney thinks; he’s not an American citizen.”

There is no one in the federal government with the knowledge to fix this leak. Most government management jobs are held by lawyers with little experience in the real world.
The EPA is directly responsible for this disaster due to their ignorant policies regarding drilling. The congress should immediately defund this agency and get them off the backs of business for all time.
British Petroleum was pushing the envelope of drilling technology by drilling in 5,000 ft. of water. All it takes is one mistake or not accounting for a gas bubble as happend in this case and it can create a mess. This is a gas driven field and methane bubbles occur in the liquid. All it took was an ignition source and the result is what we saw. Eleven people dead,a mulitmillion dollar rig destroyed and millions of gallons of crude released into the Gulf.

      #6,
The EPA is directly responsible for this disaster due to their ignorant policies regarding drilling.

Really; directly responsible? How so? Does a policy force a corporation to take a positive action; e.g. to drill such a deep well? What leverage did the EPA have over BP if they choose to just not drill this well? Could the EPA file suite? Could they fine BP for NOT drilling a well? How does an agency force anyone to take action over the alternative of at least doing nothing at all?

Then beyond explaining the above; how did the EPA force BP (or any of the 2 other companies involved in the disaster) to make bad decisions? To not have the tools or plans to deal with this incident? To have business people override engineers on how to handle the crisis in the first few moments? To properly seal the well? And on and on.

Any chance there will be any answers to these relevant questions?

      #1-John,

Now everyone an an (sic) finally shut up about bush (sic) and Katrina. Remember bush (sic) was a racist even though 5 days before it hit he was all over the media saying everyone should get out?

You’ll need a better grasp of the facts if you’re trying to prove a point. On Fri, Aug 26, 2005, in the early afternoon; the National Hurricane Center officially shifted the possible track of Katrina from the Florida Panhandle to the Mississippi/Louisiana coast. On Mon, Aug 29, 2005 at 6:10 AM CDT, Katrina made its second landfall in Louisiana.

Math tells us that something less than 3 days before Katrina hit the Louisiana coast, no one had predicted that would be the site of second landfall. It would be impossible for anyone, let alone Pres. Bush, to be “all over the media saying everyone should get out” 5 days before it hit.

I would be quite stunned if Pres Bush ever gave any kind of warning to anyone or to any media outlet. Can you prove otherwise?

If in fact he did manage some kind of advance warning to someone, somewhere, I guess it explains why he went on vacation until Wed, Aug 30, 2005. Maybe that is where you got the 5 days from; he was warning everyone that he was going to be on vacation the next 5 days, so leave a message (and we’ll call you back). LOL

BTW, your statement I just thank god that he is going to screw this up so bad. indicates that you are involved in some wild and crazy kind of religion, if that is what praying to your god is about. Weird.

      OP,

It might have been fairer if you referred to the part of the CNN interview that did focus on the oil disaster. People wouldn’t think or know that Obama actually answered several questions from King, all without a teleprompter (another noteworthy event).

I failed to hear anyone speak about the importance of discussing LeBron as you mention. If anything, a comparison of the time spent on LeBron vs. Oil, and the placement of questions for either topic, immediately or later in the interview, would likely be factors that could have been mentioned to infer importance. But such was not the case.

Are you saying that Obama should have refused to answer the question from King about LeBron? If in fact Obama actually said every waking moment in reference to the Oil, it is obvious that this is not a literal representation.

    10. Michelle on June 5th, 2010 2:10 pm

Why even discuss LeBron? Who cares. There are more important issues than LeBron.

    11. Michelle on June 5th, 2010 6:27 pm

#8 Here are some facts for you on Bush’s response to disasters in comparison to Obama’s response to disasters. BTW, Bush had to deal with 2 Hurricane’s, 2 wars & 9/11 in his 8 years as President but he didn’t cry like a little baby and blame everyone under the sun. We are sick of hearing about Bush’s lack of response to Hurricane Katrina when in fact he responded the day after, not a week after, he visited the area within days of the disaster not weeks. Obama sucks as a leader, can you prove otherwise?

As usual, you provide a post that totally avoids any facts I mentioned. That’s just a lot of BS. If you want to reply to me, reply to my post, not some stuff you can’t wait to peddle.

      #10,

I agree with you; we should boycott Larry King until he learns to ask the questions we want him to, not what is on his mind. Of all the nerve; just who does he think he is?

    14. Michelle on June 9th, 2010 10:04 pm

#12 I did not avoid any facts, I presented facts you just don’t like the facts I presented.

It is not b.s. it’s the truth. I did reply to your post.

Just as I stated earlier, when presented with facts you still don’t get it.

It’s a waste of time trying to have a discussion with you when you completely ignore the facts.

      Run along troll

      #14,

I don’t care about the reply you made because it is irrelevant to what I said. Starting a new story is not a reply to someone. Your post is simply meaningless to the conservation; posting meaningless stuff is BS. Who cares about your other stuff.

If you can’t take it that I schooled John about Bush (NOT) being all over the media, try and prove me wrong. If you can’t do that, let your ego have a rest.

FYI, you claim you replied to my post; replying to the numberof my post is immaterial; to reply to a post you need to discuss what it was saying. Try and prove you did anything close to that. As if!

And you talk about having a discussion. I suggest dictionary.com for you.
