The AP will not tell you that Orlando’s Mayor Buddy Dyer is a Democrat, but Scared Monkeys will.
In another pattern of democratic voting fraud, Democratic mayor Buddy Dyer allegedly (updated, Thanks David) paid solicitors to collect absentee ballots in the Orlando community. This is 3rd Degree Voter Fraud in Florida.

UPDATE: keeping with the Voter Fraud theme of the day, Washington State “Republicans have released 1,135 names of alleged felons who they say illegally cast ballots in the governor’s race that Democrat Christine Gregoire won by 129 votes.” Think this would have affected the outcome of the election… nah…

Oh that is too funny. I worked with this guy in 1998 – 2000 when he was a state legislator. What a jackass he was then and he is obvisouly still one.

Looks like the Orlando Mayor spent 5 minutes too long in the tanning bed. Or is that his embarrassment of getting caught? Good catch.
I hope they put him in jail and throw away the key! However, I live in FL where a Judge is trying to murder Terri Shaivo, so I won’t hold my breath!
Jeb will suspend him, that is all but certain.
As for Terri, it is a shame, but yet, they look like they are going to kill her. As an attorney in Florida I still do not know how parole evidence of a living will or a DNR is valid, but that may be just me…maybe Judge Greer has a higher level of knowledge than I do….

Dyer has been indicted, not convicted (yet). So, as cliched as it sounds now, it still behooves you to note “allegedly” paid solicitors to collect absentee ballots. (Although a conviction wouldn’t surprise me; Dyer’s been caught fudging on such inconveniences as Florida’s “Sunshine laws” requiring open meetings for important gov’t decisions already.)
It’s pretty well known here in Orlando that Dyer is a Democrat, even though the mayoral elections are “officially” “non-partisan”. But it is interesting that the AP would leave that fact out… if he’d been a Republican, I doubt very seriously that would’ve been kept quiet!

Tomahawk: You are correct; Gov. Bush has suspended Dyer, and a special election to replace him seems very likely… which must come as good news to Dyer’s opponent in the previous election, Ken Mulvaney, who brought the charges against Dyer in the first place. Mulvaney’s wanted a “do-over” for over a year now (if my memeory serves me correctly). Mulvaney’d certainly make an “interesting” mayor: he speaks with an Irish brogue that makes the Lucky Charms leprechaun sound like William F. Buckley.
Whenever I read a news report about a government official’s corruption and it doesn’t mention party affiliation, I know it’s a Democrat involved. Had Dyer been a Republican, the “R” word would have been mentioned several times. It’s a pattern that started back in the 1980s (at least, that’s when I first started noticing it) and hasn’t subsided. Dan Rather used the “R” word in his broadcasts to distraction – the facts were hard to follow because of all of his “a Republican” insertions.
I am glad Ken Mulvaney has been vindicated in the proof that a DEM cheated in the election. But on a side issue, I dont think I can take listening to the thick Irish Accent of Mulvaney. He really get help with that if he wants to pursue public office. He can learn to speak more clearly. Even the reporter on WFTV commented that ” if you didnt understand through the thich accent…….. ”
He is about as bad as Arianna Huffington who talks about Laap Haws (loopholes). AarLuda (Orlando via Mulvaney) Juwstce (justice) .. AHHH I am witht he guy politically but I cant take his term of office. Hope he doesnt give too many speachs

I sez: Whenever I read gibberish about one party wherein the poster doesn’t mention their party affiliation, I know it’s a Republican involved.
Be that as it may, anyone who seriously believes either the democrats or the republicans are the answer to anything is obviously ill-read and not too astute.

You are correct that the ability to judge a situation just by a persons party allegiance is not the most informed way.
When dealing with the Associated Press, the matter of how the story is framed is of great importance. The AP has a very powerful position in the press. It sets the tone, even more so than the Evening news shows and the NY Times.
If they frame every story that involve Republicans as Right Wing, or when a republican is caught doing something wrong they put the name Republican all over the story, that is okay. But when the stories are about Democrats, there is no indicator of ideology, or that ideology is always portrayed as mainstream, there is a problem.
When a Democrat is caught colluding in illegality in an election, and the AP does not even mention party allegiance, that is a big thing. When this is an ongoing pattern , it is grating to ones nerves. Those who watch the news not with the passion political junkies do, it can create false impressions and create an unfair playing field.
Imagine being in High School. And when your teacher calls on you, there is a sneer in her voice. Then she calls on Suzy Sunshine, and her voice is all sugar. Do you expected to be treated as well as Suzy for the remainder of the class? Do you expect that when she is grading tests and giving recommendation there will be no bias in her opinions? Will she write as glowing a recommendation to University for you. I doubt it, and you will feel perpetually behind the 8 ball.
That is how the Republicans feel about the AP, and as a blogger, you are damned right I will bring these instances out to the light of day. It may change thing, it may not. But the subtle bigotry in reporting will not be tolerated.

With all this voter fraud why isn’t the Supervisor of Elections getting any heat??? He had to know this was going on, especially when Ezzie was bringing boxes of thousands of these ballots to his office.

Murphy was sworn into office Dec. 8 after a series of legal challenges in the race with Frye. Frye contended more votes were cast for her, but thousands of the write-in ballots were disqualified under a state law.
