Judicial Watch Sues DOJ for Records on AG Lynch and Bill Clinton’s Tarmac Meeting Last Year Prior to Election

Judicial Watch has filed a lawsuit against the Department of Justice for the records on Loretta Lynch and Bill Clinton’s meeting on the tarmac at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport prior to the 2016 presidential election and during the time in which then candidate Hillary Clinton’s email server was supposedly being investigated by the FBI. The FOIA request asks for all records related to the meeting held between then-Attorney General Loretta Lynch and former President Bill Clinton at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport in 2016.

The government watchdog group Judicial Watch has filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit against the Department of Justice (DOJ) seeking all records its has on the June 27, 2016 meeting between President Bill Clinton and then-Attorney General Loretta Lynch in her airplane, a meeting that occurred while the FBI was investigating Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server, a potential national security crime.

Yeah, no conflicts of interest here or gross appearance of impropriety here, move on.

Judicial Watch announced today that it filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit against the Department of Justice for records related to the meeting held between then-Attorney General Loretta Lynch and former President Bill Clinton at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport in 2016 (Judicial Watch v. U.S. Department of Justice (No. 1:17-cv-00421)).

Judicial Watch filed the lawsuit after the agency failed to respond to a June 29, 2016, FOIA request seeking:

• All records and/or transcripts of a meeting held between Attorney General Loretta Lynch and former President Bill Clinton in June 2016.
• All records of communication sent to or from officials in the Office of the Attorney General regarding the meeting held between Attorney General Loretta Lynch and former President Bill Clinton in June 2016.
• All records of communication sent to or from officials in the Office of the Deputy Attorney General regarding the meeting held between Attorney General Loretta Lynch and former President Bill Clinton in June 2016.
• All references to the meeting held between Attorney General Loretta Lynch and former President Bill Clinton contained in day planners, calendars and schedules in the Office of the Attorney General.

Lynch met privately with former President Bill Clinton on board a parked plane. The meeting occurred during the then-ongoing investigation of Mrs. Clinton’s email server, and only a few days before she was interview by the FBI.  Lynch later admitted that the meeting with Bill Clinton “cast a cloud” over the Justice Department/FBI investigation.  Not long afterward, FBI Director James Comey called Hillary Clinton’s actions “extremely careless” but did not recommend charges.

“The infamous tarmac meeting between President Clinton and AG Lynch is a vivid example of why many Americans believe the Obama administration’s criminal investigation into Hillary Clinton was rigged,” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. “Now it will be up to Attorney General Sessions at the Trump Justice Department to finally shed some light on this subversion of justice.”

Judicial Watch requested the Justice Inspector General investigate the tarmac meeting.

It has come to the point now that CNN is no better than MSNBC. CNN has become nothing more than “very fake news”. The fake news establishment media at CNN is at it again. Now they are attacking Fox News host Sean Hannity, smearing his reputation with a phony story about him allegedly pointing a gun at liberal Fox News contributor Juan Williams.

Dylan Byers, one of the media writers at CNN who works for media industry defender Brian Stelter, printed a story on Thursday alleging: “Last year, after ending one of his many spirited on-air arguments with liberal contributor Juan Williams, Hannity pulled out a gun and pointed it directly at Williams.” Byers cited “three sources with knowledge of the incident” to make the claim.

“He even turned on the laser sight, causing a red dot to bob around on Williams’ body,” Byers wrote, adding in parentheses: “Hannity was just showing off, the sources said, but the unforeseen off-camera antic clearly disturbed Williams and others on set.”

Byers added in the next paragraph that the alleged incident was investigated, and it was determined nothing bad happened.

“For the record: Hannity’s colleagues brought the Williams incident to the attention of Fox News executives, though it’s not clear whether anything came of it,” Byers wrote. “The sources said it went to Bill Shine, the network’s co-president and longtime Fox News executive, who is Hannity’s longtime friend and a former producer. A Fox News spokesperson said the incident was referred to the legal and human resources departments.”

Juan Williams defended his friend Sena Hannity and stated the story was a big nothingburger and being sensationalized. But this is what the liberal media does. They make something out of nothing and then try to make the false reporting an actual news story.

“This incident is being sensationalized — everything was under total control throughout and I never felt like I was put in harm’s way,” Williams said, according to the CNN report. “It was clear that Sean put my safety and security above all else and we continue to be great friends.”

The people lined up to await President Donald Trump, some for 10 hours, and the lines grew and grew and grew. It was easily the longest line of “deplorables” I have ever seen. When I arrived at the State House and parked I could not believe what I was seeing. The line was most likely over a mile long. People kept coming and coming and coming to the point where it had to be over 2 miles stretching through the streets of Nashville to The Municipal Auditorium. Pictures and videos are worth a thousand words, in this case well over 10,000 people.

Just to get some perspective, at the 1:00 mark of the video above you can see the State House in the background. At 3:45 PM Nashville time, the line of people was in front of that in the parking lots and stretching back another 1/2 mile.

Thank You Rachel Maddow for this over-hypes “Nothing Burger.”  In fact, Rachel Maddow has proves some Democrat and Hillary Clinton 2016 campaign lies that Trump paid no taxes. WRONG, he paid $38 million and an effective tax rate of 25%. Thank you again Racel Maddow, you know who paid less than Trump … why that would be the darlings of the LEFT, Barack Obama and Bernie Sanders.

That return, the political universe speculated, might hold the key to unlocking the single biggest mystery surrounding Trump: His financial affairs. After all, this is a president who broke with decades of tradition by refusing to release his tax returns — any of them — during the 2016 campaign, insisting that he was under audit.

The return wasn’t the key. Not even close. (That it took Maddow more than 20 minutes into her show to get to the numbers meant that she was scooped on her own scoop.)

First, the basics: Trump made more than $150 million in 2005 and paid $38 million in taxes that year, according to the two-page summary materials mailed to Johnston this week.

Now, the history: Trump has repeatedly said that he did everything he could to pay as little tax as possible — a position, he insisted, that not only made him smart but also one that lots and lots of voters seemed to agree with. “I fight very hard to pay as little tax as possible,” Trump told ABC in May 2016.

The White House said on Tuesday that President Donald Trump paid $38 million in federal income taxes in 2005 — on $150 million in earnings — offering a small glimpse at the president’s personal finances, which Trump has so far kept almost entirely private.

The administration offered those details in a statement after journalist David Cay Johnston published two pages of tax information about the president, apparently from Trump’s 2005 return. The revelations were simultaneously broadcast on MSNBC’s “The Rachel Maddow” show, which included an interview with Johnston. Based on the information on the two pages, Trump paid an effective tax rate of about 25 percent.

If MSNBC wanted to do real investigative journalism, maybe they might want to discover how a private citizen’s tax return was illegal gotten?
