WOW!!! Carryn Owens, Widow of Slain Navy SEAL William Ryan Owens Receives Standing Ovation During Trump’s Address to Congress (VIDEO)

THE MOST EMOTIONAL AND HEART TUGGING MOMENT I HAVE EVER SEEN IN A PRESIDENT’S ADDRESS TO CONGRESS EVER!!!

This was the part of the speech that will forever be rememberedA Commander in Chief honoring the widow of a slain military hero. Tonight during President Donald Trump’s Address to Congress, President Trump paid homage to Carryn Owens, the widow of slain Navy SEAL, William Ryan Owens, who received a standing ovation from all in attendance on both sides of the aisle. Chief special warfare operator William “Ryan” Owens was killed in an intelligence-gathering raid in Yemen last month. President Trump said, “Ryan died as he lived, a warrior and a hero, battling against terrorism and securing our nation.” As all looked upon the wife of William Ryan Owens in tears, looking up to the Heavens and mouthing, I love you baby and thanks to the audience, all in attendance continued the standing ovation, well most except for the disrespectful Democrats, for several minutes. No Carryn Owens, it is we that need to thank you and heroes like your husband that protect our freedoms and liberties. After the applause stopped, Trump ad-libbed and said to Carryn Owens, “And Ryan is looking down right now, you know that, and he is very happy because I think he just broke a record” referring to the endless standing ovation his widow received. What a touching and moving moment as I have ever seen at such an event.

“I just spoke to our great General [James] Mattis — just now — who reconfirmed that, and I quote, ‘Ryan was a part of a highly successful raid that generated large amounts of vital intelligence that will lead to many more victories in the future against our enemy, Ryan’s legacy is etched into eternity.”

“For as the bible teaches us, there is no greater act of love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. Ryan laid down his life for his friends, for his country, and for our Freedom – we will never forget him.”

VIA The Politico:

President Donald Trump paid homage to the first military death of his nascent administration in his address to a joint session of Congress on Tuesday, creating a memorable, heartfelt moment of recognition for the slain Navy SEAL’s widow.

Carryn Owens received the longest applause of the night — totaling more than two minutes of sustained applause — after Trump acknowledged her presence and the heroic efforts of her late husband, chief special warfare operator William “Ryan” Owens, who was killed in an intelligence-gathering raid in Yemen last month.

“The challenges we face as a nation are great, but our people are even greater — and none are greater or braver than those who fight for America in uniform,” Trump said. “We are blessed to be joined tonight by Carryn Owens, the widow of U.S. Navy special operator senior chief William ‘Ryan’ Owens. Ryan died as he lived, a warrior and a hero, battling against terrorism and securing our nation.”

Vice President Mike Pence and House Speaker Paul Ryan, who were seated behind Trump, stood up to applaud as attendees of the president’s address showered Owens with the 30-second standing ovation.

Fox News Chris Wallace Says, “I Feel Like Tonight Donald Trump Became the President of the United States” (VIDEO) (Update: MSM Praises Trump Speech)

FOX NEWS CHRIS WALLACE PRAISES PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP’S SPEECH IN ADDRESS TO CONGRESS …

Following President Donald Trump’s first Address to Congress, Chris Wallace, the host of FOX News Sunday, had nothing but praise as he analyzed the speech. Wallace, who is no Trump cheerleader at Fox said, “it was by far the best speech that Donald Trump ever gave.” He further went on to say that “it was one of the best speeches in that setting that he ever heard any president give.”

Wallace then said, “I want to say this right, but I feel like tonight, Donald Trump became the president of the United States.” You could see the head of Dana Pirino, former GWB press secretary and Fox News host, in the background nodding with approval.  What Wallace said was no disrespect to President Trump. Wallace went on to follow up and say, “Yes, of course he got it 35 or 38 or 40 days ago when he was sworn in, but so many Democrats didn’t recognize him. I think tonight whether you agree or disagree with him, he became the president of the United States and everyone is going to have to accept that fact.”

UPDATE I: From The Washington Examiner, Media applaud Trump’s first joint session speech.

Journalists applauded President Trump’s first joint session address on Tuesday, calling it presidential and predicting that it will be popular beyond his core base of supporters.

“This will be, I think, a very well-received speech for Donald Trump,” said liberal MSNBC host Rachel Maddow after the speech. She said part of the reason was “because of expectations” for Trump are lower, since he is not a typical politician.

In his speech, Trump maintained his campaign message to push for American interests on international trade and foreign policy, while calling on unity between Republicans and Democrats.

Chris Matthews said that Trump’s message of “economic nationalism” was likely to resonate. “I think left, right and center, people have a sense of righteous indignation,” he said. “It’s probably the reason [Trump] was elected in [swing states] Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and Ohio.”

“This is Trump at his most presidential — his most effective speech yet,” said ABC White House correspondent Jonathan Karl on Twitter.

Los Angeles Times White House Correspondent Mike Memoli said on Twitter that Trump’s speech was “playing out well” for Trump.

CNN/ORC Poll: 7 in 10 Speech-Watchers Say Trump Boosted Optimism & Policies Would Move Country in Right Direct and 57% Saying They Had a Very Positive Reaction to Trump’s Speech (VIDEO)

DON’T LOOK NOW DEMOCRATS, BUT PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP JUST HIT IT OUT OF THE PARK WITH THE AMERICAN PEOPLE, SO SAYS CNN …

sotu-tr6

RUT-ROH, Democrats and the liberal MSM find themselves in a pickle after President Donald Trump’s first Address to Congress last night. It was a resounding success! According to a new CNN/ORC poll of speech-watchers stated that 57% of them said that they had a very positive reaction to President Trump’s speech and 7 in 10 said the speech made them feel more optimistic about the direction of the country. Trump scored high marks on his economic proposed policies at 72%, 70% on terrorism and 64% with taxes. Don’t look now Democrats, but you have a major problem if you think you are going to just obstruct this president. That is not the will of the people. Of course CNN tried to down play Trump’s amazing CNN poll results, because that is what the bias MSM does, by stating that people who choose to watch a political speech such as this one tend to be more supportive of the speaker. Really, Trump supporters are watching CNN?

President Donald Trump’s first address to Congress received largely positive reviews from viewers, with 57% who tuned in saying they had a very positive reaction to the speech, according to a new CNN/ORC poll of speech-watchers.

Nearly 7-in-10 who watched said the President’s proposed policies would move the country in the right direction and almost two-thirds said the president has the right priorities for the country. Overall, about 7-in-10 said the speech made them feel more optimistic about the direction of the country.

The survey, conducted among a group of Americans who said in interviews conducted before the speech that they planned to watch and agreed to be re-contacted, only reflects the views of those who watched the speech, not of all Americans.

On specific issues, Trump scored the highest marks for his proposed policies on the economy, with 72% saying those went in the right direction. Almost as many, 70%, said the same about his terrorism proposals. Slightly fewer, but still a majority, felt his policies on taxes (64%), immigration (62%) or health care (61%) were heading in the right direction.

Ideologically, about two-thirds saw Trump’s speech as about right, while roughly on-quarter (26%) pegged it as too conservative. Just 8% said it wasn’t conservative enough.

Let’s correct something that CNN some what under reported above in their story. They stated that 57% of Trump speech watchers were very positive, which is correct, but what they forget to head line is that another 21% were some what positive. This means that an astounding 78% of those who watched this speech came away with a positive message from the president that the MSM, including CNN have continually bashed and acted like they were the opposition party in their bias reporting.

And making matters even worse for liberals, Democrats and the MSM, the Trump momentum increased as the speech went on as President Donald J. Trump won over many that had pause for alarm prior to his speech. Prior to the speech, 58% thought his policies would move in the right direction and by the speeches end, that was up to 69%. WOW. Democrats best be very careful. Americans want America to be great again, they want well paying jobs, they want real affordable healthcare that they can use, they want better education and they want illegal immigration to stop. If Democrats are seen as being nothing more than an obstruction at every turn to a president, even on issues that are Democrat one’s, they will pay an even deeper price in the 2018 elections and will be in the wilderness for a generation.
