Real Life Tin Cup … Heckler David Johnson Sinks 12-Foot Putt that Team Europe’s McIlroy & Stenson Consistently Missed During Ryder Cup Practice Round & Fans Go Crazy (VIDEO)
ONE IN A MILLION OPPORTUNITY AND SHOT AT THE RYDER CUP …
If all else fails for the Americans at this year’s Ryder Cup, they can always sign up David Johnson to play a round. Who you ask? Why David Johnson of course. He had been heckling Rory McIlroy and Henrik Stenson who had been consistently missing a 12 foot putt. Enter David Johnson of North Dakota who shouted to the players that even he could make that putt. The two Euro players took him up on his challenge, handed him the putter, placed a C-note on the green and the rest is “Tin Cup” golf lore.
This might actually be the best thing ever.
During a practice round on Thursday at the Ryder Cup, Rory McIlroy and Henrik Stenson were practicing a 12 foot putt that they just couldn’t make. Six times each they missed, according to the PGA Tour’s Ben Everill, at which point fan David Johnson of North Dakota shouted to the players that even he could make that putt.
Stenson pulled him onto the green and handed him a putter, while Justin Rose plopped down a crisp $100. If he could make the putt on his first try, he could keep it.
AMAZING!!!
