UPDATE III: Are you kidding me, Carli Lloyd is playing out of her mind … USA scores again and Lloyd has a hat trick ... USA 4 – JAPAN 0!!! Carli Lloyd (United States) Goal at 16′. She takes a shot from midfield, 54 yards away, and catches the goal keeper off her line and scores one of the greatest goals ever.

The game is already the highest scoring final’s World Cup game in history. Team USA said prior to the game that it was not revenge for the last World Cup loss to Japan 4 years ago. Not revenge, hell this looks like revenge for Pearl Harbor.

 UPDATE VII: Carli Lloyd’s Hat Trick Gives U.S. Women Victory Over Japan in Women’s World Cup Final.

Carli Lloyd scored twice in the first five minutes on the way to the fastest hat trick in World Cup history and the the U.S. made the margin stand up, defeating Japan 5-2 to win the 2015 Women’s World Cup.

With the victory, the American women avenged their 2011 World Cup finals loss to Japan, a game they lost on penalty kicks.

The U.S. has now won three Women’s World Cup championships, more than any other country, and the team set a record with 112 goals in the tournament.
