Ember Graham was reportedly last seen Wednesday night inside her home in Happy Valley, about 150 miles north of Sacramento. Her father Matthew Graham said he went to check on her around 5:30 Thursday morning, and found her crib empty, reports the station.

The disappearance is considered “suspicious,” Lt. Dave Kent of the Shasta County Sheriff’s Office told the Record-Searchlight.

Police are interviewing the child’s family members, including Matthew Graham and the girl’s mother Jamie Graham. According to the station, police say that everyone contacted has been cooperative.

Matthew Graham was booked into the Shasta County Jail Friday on an unrelated probation violation, reports the paper. He’s reportedly being held without bail.

UPDATE I: Baby’s father ‘person of interest’; $10k reward offered.

Matthew Graham, father of baby Ember Graham, has been named a “person of interest” in her disappearance, according to Shasta County Sheriff’s Lt. Dave Kent.

Kent said no other person of interest has been identified in the case. Ember’s mother, Jamie Lee Graham, is cooperating, he said.

“We have very limited information,” Kent said.

As reported earlier, Matthew Graham has been in Shasta County Jail on a probation violation, and is being held without bail. He was the first to report the baby missing from her crib a little after 5 a.m. Thursday morning.

Kent said the violation stems from DUI and forgery cases. During questioning, Matthew Graham gave investigators information that he took medication that had not been disclosed to his probation officer, which is a violation of conditions, Kent said.

UPDATE II: Sheriff: Missing baby Ember most likely not alive.

Monday marks the fifth day search and rescue teams from all over California have been searching for missing 6-month-old Ember Sky Graham.

Ember was reported missing from her crib early Thursday morning by her father, Matthew Graham, who is a person of interest in the disappearance of the baby.

Almost 80 volunteers from statewide search and rescue teams and 60 family members searched the countryside on Monday for the six-month-old. The search efforts are concentrated in the area of Clear Creek Road in Happy Valley.

Shasta County Sheriff Tom Bosenko said given the time that has passed and the heat over the last five days, they are looking to recover the body of baby Ember to see if there’s any “recoverable evidence there.”
