Dartmouth College Cheating Scandal … 64 Students, Including Many Varsity Athletes, Charged with Honor Code Violations Following Widespread Cheating Allegations in a Sports Ethics Class

CAN YOU SAY IRONY … DARTMOUTH COLLEGE CHEATING SCANDAL IN SPORTS ETHICS CLASS.

You just cant make this stuff up … 64 students at Dartmouth College, including many varsity athletes, have been charged with “Honor Code” violations following a widespread cheating scandal. The course in question that is at the forefront of the cheating scandal, hold it … hold it …. hold it … Sports ethics. UM, REALLY? How bad is it when you have a cheating scandal in a course created at an Ivy League school intended to help student-athletes, who sometimes had trouble with the coursework at Dartmouth. In other words, the course was intended to inflate scholarship athletes grades point averages. Is is a kin to cheating at basket weaving 101. Maybe the professors will give the cheaters an “A” for effort in cheating ingenuity?

Kind of reminds me of the “business ethics” question from the movie ‘Billy Madison’.

 Dartmouth College has charged 64 students, many of them varsity athletes, with honor code violations following allegations of widespread cheating in a sports ethics class.

Department of Religion Chairman Randall Balmer, who in November accused some of his students of misrepresenting their class attendance, said that “with a few exceptions, most of the students were suspended for a term.”

The college’s head of judicial affairs, Leigh Remy, declined to comment, though spokeswoman Diana Lawrence confirmed the number of students facing possible sanctions.

Lawrence said that the college would not make detailed comments on the judicial proceedings until the appeals process ends in mid-January.

According to Balmer, in late October, students who failed to attend class passed off handheld devices known as “clickers” to classmates. Those students then used the gadgets to answer questions on the absent students’ behalf to make it appear as though they were present in class, Balmer said.

Though Balmer said that 43 students — less than the total number of students facing sanctions — handed off their clickers to their peers, some others confessed to him that they had helped their friends cheat.

The course in question was originally intended to help student-athletes, who sometimes had trouble with the coursework at Dartmouth, Balmer said. After a popular first run last year, the fall term’s class swelled to more than 280 students, and attendance and cheating became a problem.

But wait until you hear what important things Obama was doing instead of attending a rally against radical Islam and in support of our allies … Obama was watching football.

According to an administration official, President Obama spent part of his Sunday afternoon watching a National Football League game on television. Both games were broadcast hours after the march.

Heads of state from every major European power, including British Prime Minister David Cameron and German Chancellor Angela Merkel, joined French President Francois Hollande.

But the U.S.A. was M.I.A.

You fools thought I actually believe I care about you and your war on radical Islam, I’m watching me some football.

Obama and Vice President Joe Biden remained in Washington, despite having no events on their public schedules Sunday. Secretary of State John Kerry was a world away in India, on a pre-planned trip.

Attorney General Eric Holder was in Paris for a terrorism summit held on the march’s sidelines, but he slipped away and made appearances on four American morning television talk shows just as the incredible rally was starting.

The US was represented at the march only by Jane Hartley, the American ambassador to France who is unrecognizable to most Americans, let alone the rest of the world.

Now the world knows what we Americans have none for years, Obama is the worst president in American history.

Love him or hate him, at least London Imam Anjem Choudary speaks the truth. Last Wednesday during an interview with Sean Hannity on Fox News, Hannity and  Choudary discussed Islam and its views toward the world, freedom of expression, freedom of religion, woman, gays and other social issues. However, the money line of the contentious interview was when London Imam Anjem Choudary stated  that Islam is not a Religion of Peace … “Islam does not mean peace, Sean, it means submission, submission to the commands of God.”

 “You’re saying you do not believe in freedom of speech, you don’t believe in freedom of expression, you believe in Islamic fascism, that people must abide by your laws,” Hannity said.

“Actually, as a Muslim, we believe that sovereignty and supremacy belongs to God and therefore we believe in submitting to the commands of God,” Choudary said.

Hannity asked him, “So you’re saying anything offensive about the prophet Muhammad should be illegal and it should be worldwide?”

Choudary told Hannity that in Islam, that carries capital punishment.

Arrest Warrant Issued for 9 Year Old Boy in Post Falls, ID For Failure to Appear in Court after Stealing Pack of Gum

9 year old gum stealing boy public enemy #1 in Post Falls, Idaho …

A 9 year old boy in Post Falls, Idaho was arrested for failure to appear in court for a second time. The original offense that the 9 year old was charged with, stealing a pack of gum. That is correct folks, a pack of frigging gum. Are you telling me that we are wasting the police and courts time with offenses like stealing a single pack of gum? UNREAL. So in 2015, pot is legal but stealing gum that cost less than a $1 gets you a court date? According to reports, the child did not show for court because his family had no way to get him to the courthouse. How is a 9 year old boy held responsible for not being able to get to Court? Maybe he should have stole a car and drove? The child is currently in the Juvenile Detention Center where he will soon stand before a judge. Really, you have a 9 year old in a Juvenile Detention Center because of this with all the risks that are prevalent being in Juvy?

Are you telling me that the legal system could not have found a better way to handle this situation? Three 4th grade girls had no charges filed against them in New York after plotting to kill their teacher because no one got hurt, yet theft of less than $1 gets this poor 9 yer old boy time in a Juvenile Detention Center. Head shaking.

Post Falls Chief of Police Scott Haug says he was very surprised when an arrest warrant landed on his desk earlier this week. The warrant was for a “failure to appear,” not uncommon. But the perpetrator was a nine year old boy.

Kootenai County Prosecuting Attorney Barry McHugh, who issued the arrest warrant, was not able to comment because the case involves someone younger than 18 years old. However, Haug says the warrant was issued because it was the second time the 9 year old missed his day in court.

What was the original charge? Stealing a pack of gum.

Haug says this is the first time in his 30 years in law enforcement that he’s ever seen an arrest warrant issued for someone as young as nine.
