ESPN’s Samantha Ponder Shreds Florida St QB Jameis Winston … “We’re Asking that You Don’t Lie, You Don’t Cheat, You Don’t Steal, and You Don’t Disrespect Women.”

ESPN’s Samantha Ponder rips Florida State QB Jameis Winston for his conduct and lack of character. During Saturday’s ESPN College Game Day, Samantha Ponder said what should be the obvious in what we expect not only from Jameis Winston, but from all  individuals, and not just college athletes.

“Here’s what I’m not buying. I’m not buying that the expectations are too high. Here’s what we’re asking from him: We’re asking that you don’t lie, you don’t cheat, you don’t steal, and you don’t disrespect women,” Ponder said. “And I know people want to say, ‘Oh, he’s naive and there’s some immaturity there.’ I just think we’re not giving him enough credit. He knows right from wrong. He understands that the things he’s done are wrong but he continues to make those same mistakes.”

It is too bad FSU did not lose last night, it would have been an even greater learning experience for Jameis Winston.

No one is perfect. However, it is time that the public demand better more moral behavior from all sports figures and other celebrities. This begins with the media doing their job as this woman is doing.

When the public will no longer support a two tiered behavior system, then things will change.

SM: Yup, no one is perfect except Jameis seems to be consistently not perfect. Of course I not only blame the QB, but FSU as well. They created this individual who now thinks that the rules do not apply to him. When one gets away with a sexual assault, what else is really left?

Sadly, Clemson beat themselves, but perhaps better days are ahead.

SM: They most certainly did. Clemson should have won this game by at least 13 points.

When the coach and the school can’t keep him from dressing out, warming up, and prancing up and down the sidelines. What a punishment!
I took it upon myself to let Florida State university and ABC sports know exactly how I felt about the whole thing. I hope a million others do also.
Maybe after this investigation into how the school handled the rape accusation, FL state can be the next Penn State.

[...] There is no way in hell that Dalvin Cook can remain on this team and Jimbo claim he gives a damn about woman and domestic violence. What does anyone expect the culture to be at FSU when Fisher, the University president and the Alumni all looked the other way with Jameis Winston? [...]
