An AMBER ALERT has been issued for 10 year old Hailey Owens who has been missing since Tuesday, February 18, 2014 in Springfield, Missouri.  Hailey was grabbed in front of her own home in broad day light. The child abduction occurred around 4:50 p.m. on W. Lombard when Hailey Owens was approached by an unknown person and pulled into his vehicle. Police have described the kidnapper as a white male between the ages of 45 and 55, driving a gold 2008 Ford Ranger pickup with Missouri plate number 1YF454.

Hailey M. Owens went missing at 4:48 p.m. in Springfield. The man who allegedly took her is white, 45 to 55 years old, 6 feet 1 inch tall, 200 pounds and has gray hair.

He might be driving a gold 2008 Ford Ranger pickup truck with Missouri plate number 1YF454, police said.

Owens is described as about 5 feet 2 inches tall, 90 pounds, and has brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing blue jean shorts and purple sandals. She has pierced ears.

This is an Amber Alert, the Springfield Missouri Police Department has issued an Amber Alert that occurred at 3247 west Lombard at 4:48 pm on 02/18/14. Abducted was Hailey Owens a white female 10 years old. The suspect vehicle is a gold 2008 Ford Ranger Missouri registration 1YF454. The vehicle was last seen southbound on Scenic from Grand in Springfield, Missouri. The suspect is a white male, no further description is available. The victim, Hailey M. Owens is a white female 10 years old, 5 foot 2 inches tall, weighing 90 pounds with long brown hair, brown eyes and pierced ears. Owens was last seen wearing blue jean shorts and purple sandals.. . UPDATE I: Amber Alert: Stranger abducts girl in west Springfield, MO.

Springfield police are investigating an abduction of a girl in the 3200 block of  West Lombard Street at 4:48 p.m. Tuesday.  The girl is 10, 5-foot-2, skinny, with sandy blonde hair and pierced ears.  She was wearing blue jean shorts.  Her name is Hailey Owens.

A neighbor who lives at 3247 W. Lombard says a man went up to Hailey, who was outside the home, and talked to her, then grabbed her and threw her in his truck.  Hailey’s mother told police that she has no idea who the man is.

Police are looking for a white man who may be driving a gold early 2000s Ford Ranger pickup that was last seen going south on Golden Avenue from Lombard.  The truck has Missouri plates IYF 454.

UPDATE II: Suspect in Custody, Hailey Owens Still Missing.

An Amber Alert remains in effect for 10 year old Hailey Owen of Springfield, MO.  An unknown man pulled her into his vehicle Tuesday afternoon. Police found him, and charged him with kidnapping, but Hailey remains missing.  A search will continue through the night.

The body of an abducted 10-year-old girl in southwest Missouri has been found, according to the girl’s family.

UPDATE IV: This morning’s 6:30AM Police press conference:

• The police have identified the suspect in custody as 45 year old Craig Michael Wood, charged with kidnapping.
• It is on an-going police investigation.
• The police made no mention of Hailey Owens’ body being found; however, parents have told media that they were informed their child has been found deceased.

UPDATE V: There appears to be a couple of individuals with the name Craig M. Wood and Craig Michael Wood that live in Springfield, MO

This most likely is the address as the suspect was found in his truck in the 1500 block of East Stanford in Springfield.

UPDATE VI: Craig Michael Wood: Suspect in abduction of Springfield girl Hailey Owens arrested for murder.

By 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Springfield police say they received a tip that led them to Wood at a residence in town.  They initially believed he and Owens were heading to Oklahoma.

Wood was taken into custody and later booked for first-degree murder in the Greene County Jail, according to jail records, and an official with the sheriff’s office confirms it is the same man at the center of the abduction.

UPDATE VII: Body of missing Missouri girl found in home of elementary school coach: police.

The body of missing 10 year old Hailey Owens was found in the basement of Craig M. Woods home with a gunshot wound to her head. 45 year old Craig Michael Wood charged with first-degree murder in the death of 10-year-old Hailey Owens. Wood has also been charged with armed criminal action and child kidnapping.

A Missouri grade school coach has been charged in the murder and kidnapping of a 10-year-old girl whose suspected body was found in his basement with what police said was a gunshot wound to the head.

Craig Wood, a football coach and teacher’s aide at Springfield’s Pleasant View K-8 School, was charged Wednesday with first-degree murder in the death of Hailey Owens, whose body police believe was found in a storage bin.

THE KIDNAPPING CHILDREN EXPERIMENT … Fousey Tube Social Experiment Tests How People will People Would React to a Possible Child Kidnapping (VIDEO)

STOP THE APATHY AMERICA, GET INVOLVED AND HELP IF THE OPPORTUNITY PRESENTS ITSELF …

Fousey Tube does a rather interesting and important video social experiment on how people would react to a possible child kidnapping an abduction. Needless to say, some of the results were troubling. While some people stepped in and protected the child, one woman even pepper-sprayed the would be child predator, sadly many others were just apathetic and literally did nothing. FOLKS, if we do not step in and help a child in trouble, who will you help? It does not take much to just question what is happening. Any parent who you might question would respect the fact that you were concerned.

I have to say though that as much as a I respect what they are doing at Fousey Tube, some of it is a bit dangerous. Depending on where you were or who you came in contact with, one never knows if during this experiment the individual that is approached could be legally carrying a gun and would draw it thinking that there was a possible child kidnapping taking place … present company included.

If you have never watched the social experiments they do on the video web site, I would strongly suggest you take a look.

Unbelievably, she says that the Founding Fathers would support Obamacare because the virtues espoused by The Founders of  life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness are also in Obamacare. NO THEY ARE NOT!!! Pelosi and her ilk will lie, cheat and steal to misrepresent what Obamacare is and they hope that Americans are too ignorant and apathetic to care.

President Barack Obama travels to drought plagued California and promising to create a $1 billion slush fund for individuals harmed by the extreme drought conditions in California. Obama used the opportunity to pander for global warming. Oh sorry, climate change. But isn’t that par for the course? Speaking of par, the do as I say, not as I do Barack Obama  managed to find his way on President’s Day weekend onto  “Water-Guzzling” desert golf courses. How can any one take this man seriously? Shared sacrifice? You dare lecture us and you turn around and do just the opposite. Oh that’s right, no one care dare call you out on anything or be deemed a racist. They say that there is a shortage of clowns in America.  There is supposedly a lack of wannabe Bozos. Really? No there is not, they just need to look to Washington, DC, Congress and namely 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. Ha, looks like the folks at Powerline were on the same thought process. However, I would add there are also many Republicans that can be added to the list, or so-called GOP’ers.

Obama was scheduled to return to Washington late Monday.

The White House says Obama was playing on the nine-hole course at the sprawling Sunnylands estate in Rancho Mirage. Childhood friends Bobby Titcomb, Greg Orme and Michael Ramos rounded out the foursome.

Obama Plays Water-Guzzling Desert Golf Courses Amid California Drought: After preaching shared sacrifice to assuage the California water shortage, Obama has played some of the country’s thirstiest golf courses.

President Barack Obama traveled to California on Friday to highlight the state’s drought emergency at two events near Fresno, calling for shared sacrifice to help manage the state’s worst water shortage in decades. He then spent the rest of the weekend enjoying the hospitality of some of the state’s top water hogs: desert golf courses.

Vacationing with DVDs of his favorite television shows and multiple golf outings with his buddies, the duffer in chief played at two of the most exclusive courses in the Palm Springs area. On Saturday, Obama played at the Sunnylands estate, built by the late billionaire Walter Annenberg, which features a nine-hole course that is played like 18 holes. The following day he golfed at billionaire Oracle founder Larry Ellison’s 19-hole Porcupine Creek. On Presidents’ Day, Obama hit the links at Sunnylands once again.

The 124 golf courses in the Coachella Valley consume roughly 17% of all water there, and one-quarter of the water pumped out of the region’s at-risk groundwater aquifer, according to the Coachella Valley Water District. Statewide, roughly 1% of water goes to keep golf courses green. Each of the 124 Coachella Valley courses, on average, uses nearly 1 million gallons (3.8 million L) a day because of the hot and dry climate, three to four times more water per day than the average American golf course.
