“Octomom” Back in the News … Nadya Suleman Charged With Felony Welfare Fraud
Just a sad, pathetic, tragic story … What a Mess.
Nadya Suleman, better known as the “Octomom,” has been charged with felony welfare fraud. According to the Smoking Gun, the California mother of 14 children has been charged with welfare fraud for allegedly pocketing public assistance payments while failing to report that she earned nearly $30,000 from public appearances and video residuals. What else could one expect when your only claim to fame is giving birth to octuplets? Now she is infamous for committing welfare fraud. She is scheduled to appear in court Friday and prosecutors are expected to ask for $25,000 bail. If convicted of the charges, Suleman could face nearly six months in prison.
Octomom, “I hate me”
The 38-year-old Suleman has been named in a criminal complaint accusing her of “one count of aid by misrepresentation and two counts of perjury by false application for aid.”
According to Los Angeles prosecutors, Suleman illegally pocketed $16,481 in welfare benefits, including nearly $10,000 in Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) payments.

Even more pathetically sad is that the video residuals that they are referring to is for the Octomom exploited to making porn, ‘Octomom: Home Alone’ (VIDEO). [warning: Adult, no nudity. The video is more to explain the desperate, exploited situation.]
What I do find amazing that with all the fraud that takes place within the welfare system, the feds can only seem to nab the Octomom.

This is “grandstanding” by the feds. It makes the people think they are actually doing something.
Any federal agency that wants to do the right thing could cut off fraud quickly and save the peoples money. This is why the founding fathers wanted strong state government and weak federal government.
