34 year old Miriam Carey of Stamford, CT who led police on a car chase from the White House to the Capitol in Washington, DC before being killed by police may have thought that President Barack Obama was stalking her. Sadly, Carey suffered from mental issues, including in some reports postpartum depression. She also had a history of mental issues. No matter how one looks at it, she was just a woman with too many issues. Now I agree with the Vodka Pundit 100% in that “what happened yesterday wasn’t even an attack , it was a disturbed woman acting out her delusion”. And thank God she did not harm anyone else seriously, including her one year old child. But, I will say the following. Imagine if the optics were different and instead of a crazy black woman in a car going off the rails and claiming that Barack Obama was stalking her, it was an insane white, male, Tea Party member in an SUV? Do you think the news coverage would be different?
The MSM would be making calls of racism, but for some reason this story does not fit their usual narrative.
The woman who led authorities on a chase from the White House to the Capitol before she was killed by police may have thought that President Barack Obama was stalking her, law enforcement sources told NBC News.
The sources said that the woman, Miriam Carey, had a history of mental health problems.
The chase, on Thursday afternoon, stirred panic in the capital and briefly stopped the mechanisms of government. It happened two weeks after a man shot 12 people to death at the Washington Navy Yard.
Members of the House and Senate, in a standoff over the government shutdown, were ordered to stay in place. One lawmaker was cut off mid-sentence during a speech. A swarm of police startled tourists who were taking in Washington on a summery day.

Capitol Suspect Miriam Carey Believed Obama Electronically Monitored Her

On Dec. 10, 2012, police were called to Carey’s home by her boyfriend Eric Francis, 54, father of her baby. Francis told police Carey was emotionally disturbed and he believed his daughter was in danger, according to sources.
Carey told police President Obama had placed Stamford on lockdown and had arranged to have her home electronically monitored and her life broadcast on television, sources said.
Police handcuffed Carey and remanded her for a mental health evaluation. According to sources, Carey had a family history of schizophrenia and was taking medication for a mental illness.
On Dec. 21, Francis again called police to report his girlfriend was “off her medication” and acting erratically.

Maybe Miriam Carey’s sisters should be questioning their sister’s use of deadly force. It was only by the Grace of God that nobody was killed in the vehicle rampage.

Miriam Carey’s sisters question police use of deadly force

NEW YORK — The sisters of a woman who was fatally shot in Washington after trying to ram her car through a White House barrier say she was not a criminal and police should not have shot her.
“We’re still very confused as a family why she’s not still alive,” Amy Carey-Jones said late Friday, speaking of her 34-year-old sister, Miriam Carey. “I really feel like it’s not justified, not justified.”
Another sister, retired New York City police officer Valarie Carey, said there was “no need for a gun to be used when there was no gunfire coming from the vehicle.” …
Secret Service agents and Capitol Police officers both fired shots during the encounter with Carey. Witnesses said Carey hit a Secret Service agent with her car at the White House. A Capitol Police officer was also injured. Both are expected to recover.
