California Lawmakers Approve Vote to Allow Driver’s Licenses for Illegal Immigrants

Remember when the United States used to be a country of laws? What part of “Illegal” is everyone missing here?

California has approved a vote that would allow illegals the right to get a drivers license. UNREAL. Advocates say that the measure would make California roads safer, improve national security and allow immigrants to fully contribute to the state economy. So when are we going to give business licenses to people in the country illegally?

Just curious, why are there any laws in Liberal Utopia? We make it illegal for kids to sell lemonade, but when it comes to illegals in the US, everything is legal.

In the waning hours of the 2013 legislative session, the Assembly on Thursday sent Gov. Jerry Brown a bill allowing undocumented immigrants to receive driver’s licenses.

The surprise 55-19 vote moved California a signature away from putting into law a measure that immigrant advocates have sought fruitlessly for years, with past attempts thwarted by legislative vote and gubernatorial veto.

“This is a moment, members,” sponsor Assemblyman Luis Alejo, D-Watsonville, said in closing remarks on the Assembly floor, “that years from now you’re going to look back on.”

By extending licenses to undocumented immigrants, Alejo said, California would open a legal umbrella for everyone on the road to prevent situations in which immigrants face arrest, heavy fines and car impoundment when they are pulled over.

Former Trayvon Martin’s Medical Examiner Dr. Shiping Bao Says Prosecution Threw the George Zimmerman Murder Case

Sour grapes and lunacy from former Volusia County medical examiner discussing the Trayvon Martin/George Zimmerman murder trial.

Dr. Shiping Bao, the former and fired Volusia County medical examiner who was in charge of handling slain-teenager Trayvon Martin’s body has come out and made the accusation that the prosecution team was biased against the African-American teenager, and intentionally lost the case. HUH? So not only was George Zimmerman a racist, the prosecution was as well? Bao is claiming that the prosecution actually intentionally threw the case? Sorry, don’t buy that for one second. The prosecution did not throw the case against Zimmerman, the prosecution did not have a murder case against George Zimmerman. Try as they might to play upon the juries emotion, the prosecution was never able to present concrete facts against the neighborhood watch volunteer. The end result was that Zimmerman was found “not guilty”.

Dr. Shiping Bao, the Volusia County medical examiner who was in charge of handling slain-teenager Trayvon Martin’s body in February 2012, has come out and claimed that the prosecution team was biased against the African-American teenager, and intentionally lost the case. According to Bao’s attorney, Willie Gary, the medical examiner’s office, the state attorney’s office and the Sanford Police’s “general attitude was that [Martin] got what he deserved. He was in essence told to zip his lips. ‘Shut up. Don’t say those things.’” Dr. Bao is speaking out in the wake of having been fired from the m.e.’s office, and is planning a $100 million lawsuit against the State of Florida.

According to the former assistant coroner, the results of Martin’s autopsy clearly showed that, despite Zimmerman’s statements regarding their altercation, there was no feasible way for Martin to have been on top of Zimmerman when the gun was fired,  because the bullet entered Martin’s back.

No way Jose. With all the pressure that had been put on the specially hand picked prosecution, there is no way these people threw this case.

Busted … Emails Show IRS’ Lois Lerner Specifically Targeted Tea Party

More from IRS-gate, is Lerner headed for a perjury charge, or making a deal to spill the beans?

Busted … Lois G. Lerner knew all along that the Tea Party groups were being targeted by the IRS … emails disclose that she called the Tea Party applications for tax-exempt status problematic. It is obvious what this woman did and who the beneficiary was of the attacks and stalling out the process of Tea Party and Conservative organizations actions. All roads lead back to the reelection of Barack Obama and the threat that the Tea Party posed to his reelection and Obamacare and the many new IRS agents that would be employed as its watch guard. Can some one finally call this scandal for what it is and can the GOP step up and take swift action? Stop with the drip, drip, drip and do whatever is needed to nail those involved, no matter how high up the tree it goes.

Lois G. Lerner, the woman at the center of the Internal Revenue Service scandal over special scrutiny of conservative groups, specifically targeted tea party applications and directed that they be held up in 2011 in order to come up with an agency policy, according to several of Ms. Lerner’s emails released by a House committee Thursday.

In one 2011 email, Ms. Lerner specifically calls the tea party applications for tax-exempt status problematic, which seems to counter Democrats’ arguments that tea party groups weren’t targeted.

“Tea Party Matter very dangerous,” Ms. Lerner wrote in the 2011 email, saying that those applications could end up being the “vehicle to go to court” to get more clarity on a 2010 Supreme Court ruling on campaign finance rules.

That email suggests that agency employees knew they had gone overboard in their scrutiny — despite top IRS officials telling Congress that there was no special scrutiny of conservative groups.

From The Hill: Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) called for criminal penalties against Lois Lerner, the former director of exempt organizations at the IRS, for lying to Congress about her involvement in the IRS targeting scandal.

Lightening Strike Grounds BWI Flights For Hours, Injures Air Traffic Controller … Make that 11 Hours

Sorry for the lack of posts but guess who got caught in this debacle?

Lightening struck the tower BWI airport in Baltimore, MD causing complete chaos. Air traffic control systems went down and one air traffic controller was injured due to the strike. As for the passengers aboard planes and waiting in the air port, was an adventure. Yours truly was aboard a Southwest plane that arrived at 1 pm and then the fun began. First there was a torrential rain and thunder storms that stopped all flights from taking off as the wind felt like it was going to blow the 737 over. Then it got worse and the lightening rolled in as myself and about 40 other passengers waited in the metal canister with wings. Luckily there were two nuns sitting in the seats next to me.

Then after waiting 2 hours on the plane we learned the bad news of the tower being struck by lightening and a person being injured. It would take another hour at least to reboot the systems. Not even close. After waiting another hour we then learned in would take between 4 to 6 hours to fix and then the dreaded text message came that the flight had been canceled.

Talk about total chaos, thousands of passengers scurrying to find new flights, ways home, anything. Needless to say there was no guarantee that I could even get a new flight the following day and not really wanting to stay in Baltimore overnight, I opted to rent a car and drive the remaining 7 hours to my destination. Needless to say it has been quite the eventful last 24 hours. And to think that I did not travel on 9-11 because I did not want to have to deal with airport craziness. So much for that idea.

A lightning bolt strikes the air traffic control tower at BWI—injuring an employee and grounding planes for hours.

Now delays stretch across the country and into the night.

Meghan McCorkell has the latest on the delays.

That lightning strike hit the tower just before 2:30 p.m. Thursday afternoon, and grounded flights for hours.

A lightning strike leaves a sea of passengers stranded.

“We’re stuck in Baltimore,” a passenger said.

“Hopefully we can get out of BWI safely tonight,” said another traveler.

Now I just need to hunt down my luggage.
