George Zimmerman Attorneys Will Ask State of Florida to Cover $200K-$300K of His Legal Bills in Murder Trail in Death of Trayvon Martin
George Zimmerman to ask the state of Florida to reimburse him for certain legal fees …
Defense attorney Mark O’Mara stated that he is in the process of preparing a motion asking Circuit Judge Debra S. Nelson to authorize the payments for certain legal fees to pay for George Zimmerman’s legal defense. Florida state law allows for certain legal costs like experts witnesses, travel, depositions, etc to be reimbursed when acquitted of a crime. Florida Statute 939.06 states that a defendant who has been acquitted is not liable for any costs associated with his case and, if he or she paid anything, they would be due a refund, if approved by a judge or clerk. Attorney fees are not apart of the statute. Attorney O’Mara said that the motion will request between $200,000 to $300,000. George Zimmerman, the neighborhood watch volunteer, was found not guilty by a jury in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin.
Look for the usual suspects to lose their mind when this motion is presented to the Court.
George Zimmerman, the Neighborhood Watch volunteer who killed Trayvon Martin, plans to ask the state of Florida to cover $200,000 to $300,000 of his legal expenses, his attorney told the Orlando Sentinel Monday evening.
Because Zimmerman was acquitted, state law requires Florida to pay all his legal costs, minus the biggest one: the fee that goes to his lawyers.
That includes the cost of expert witnesses, travel, depositions, photocopies, even that animated 3-D video that defense attorneys showed jurors during closing argument that depicts Trayvon punching Zimmerman.
Like it or not, according to Florida Statute 939.06 Zimmerman is entitled to be reimbursed. George Zimmerman was found “not guilty” by a jury of his peers. If the state of Florida does not like it and tries to block the motion, maybe next time they should provide more sound legal judgement and not be forced into the prosecution of an individual for political reasons. Maybe this will be a lesson to them to actually put on a case based upon fact, rather than emotion. Or maybe next time they will actually present a case.
The Sentinel reported that Zimmerman’s request would be based on a Florida law that says a defendant who’s acquitted isn’t liable for costs associated with his or her case. It must be approved by a judge or a clerk.
O’Mara told the newspaper he expects the Judicial Administrative Commission to throw up roadblocks.
“That’s where the fight is,” said O’Mara, who told the paper he’s been paid nothing by Zimmerman but has kept billing records.

20 Year Old Jason Tyrek Rogers Arrested and Charged with First Degree Murder & First Degree Burglary in Death of 99 Year Old Fannie Gumbinger
Another day, another black youth charged with the senseless murder and robbery of an elderly individual … Good grief this crap is starting to all sound the same.
20 year old Jason Tyrek Rogers was arrested Friday and charged with the first degree murder and first degree burglary of 99 year old Fannie Gumbinger in Poughkeepsie, NY. In just another example of a senseless killing of an elderly person by a punk thug. The Dutchess County Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Kari Reiber has said Gumbinger died of “multiple injuries,” but did not elaborate. How does some one live to the age of 99 and die this way? UNREAL! Rogers is also a suspect in multiple robberies.
Why is this case sounding like the two black teens that murdered and robbed 88 year old WW II vet Delbert Belton.
Serial Punk and Murderer
City officials today implicated the suspected murderer of 99-year-old city resident Fannie Gumbinger in five additional burglaries in the City of Poughkeepsie within the last three weeks.
The suspect, Javon Tyrek Rogers, 20, is accused of burglarizing and murdering Gumbinger, who was found dead early Wednesday morning in her home on Underhill Avenue.
“Nobody should to 99 (years old) and die this way,” City police Chief Ron Knapp said. “It was a truly senseless killing.”
Police said Rogers implicated himself in the burglary and homicide during talks Friday with police. Police came into contact with Rogers when a caller notified police about a suspicious vehicle in the lower north end of the city, police said.

Under Barack Obama Only 5% Have Recovered from Recession, the Other 95% are Still Experiencing It
President Barack Obama … the 5% President. CNBC reports, Obama’s policies have only benefited the top 5%. What else would you expect from the “phony” President who claims he is for the middle class to get their vote and then vacations and hangs with the 1%, or 5% as the case may be. His very policies have helped the rich, not those he claims are his peeps. 95% of Americans are still experiencing the recession.
Ha, and you thought I cared, I cared about your vote, nothing more
How strong the economic recovery has been since the Great Recession ended in 2009 probably depends on viewpoint.
For those in the top 5 percent, the recovery has been pretty good.
As for the other 95 percent, well … maybe not so much.
Post-financial crisis wealth disparity has been well-chronicled.
Federal Reserve Gov. Sarah B. Raskin drew widespread attention with this speech in April that showed how poorly the lower income levels have fared during the recovery, particularly because those demographics have their wealth concentrated in housing and are hit far more severely by falling prices.
The unemployed in lower-income groups also take a hit because they have a more difficult time finding jobs that pay at a rate commensurate with the positions they lost.
The conclusion isn’t pretty:
Huge leaps in the income and wealth of the top 5 percent mask the decline of income and wealth of the bottom 95 percent. Average all wealth and income and it appears that the economy is expanding to the benefit of all, when it fact only the top 5 percent have escaped the recession; the recession never ended for the bottom 95 percent.
And there’s more:
An even better way to create an illusory expansion is to simply not measure trends that would reveal a deepening recession. For example, what percentage of student loans are purposefully taken out as a substitute for income, i.e. used to pay basic living expenses rather than education? Anecdotally, there is plentiful evidence that a great many people are signing up for one class at the local community college in order to get a student loan to live on.

Second Suspect Arrested in Beating Death of WWII Veteran Delbert Belton … 16 Year Old Kenan Adams-Kinard Arrested
A second suspect has been arrested in the beating death of 88 year old Delbert Belton. Authorities said Adams-Kinard was arrested just after 3:00 a.m. Monday morning in a basement apartment on West Montgomery Avenue and North Stevens Street without incident. Police said three other arrests were made with Adams-Kinard for charges of rendering criminal assistance. 16-year-old Demetrius Glenn had been previously arrested in the beating death of Delbert Belton.
Police have arrested 16-year-old Kenan Adams-Kinard less than a week after the alleged beating death of World War II veteran Delbert Belton.
Adams-Kinard is the second suspect along with 16-year-old Demetrius Glenn accused of killing 88-year-old Belton. Glenn is expected to have his first appearance in court on Monday, August 26th.
“We’re confident we’ve built a very strong case against both individuals,” said Spokane Police Chief Frank Straub in a press conference Monday morning.
