Tennessee: State Rep. Joe Carr Announces Tea Party Primary Challenge to Republican Incumbent Sen. Lamar Alexander

Tennessee State Representative Joe Carr has announced that he is going to primary challenge Republican incumbent US Senator Lamar Alexander next year. Carr announced his primary challenge to Alexander on Ralph Bristol’s conservative talk show on 99.7 WTN. Carr was running against the embattled U.S. Rep. Scott DesJarlais for the GOP nomination in the state’s 4th congressional district; however, has decided to shift his focus to defeating moderate and “the most liberal” member of the Tennessee Republican delegation. It was anticipated that some one would challenge Alexander as the 73 year old Alexander’s views hardly reflect the Republican “red” Volunteer state these days. As reported at News Channel 5, Carr, of Lascassas, said “He’s [Alexander]getting into the race because Alexander is “too liberal” for Tennessee”.

State Rep. Joe Carr announced today he will challenge U.S. Sen. Lamar Alexander in next year’s Republican primary.

In his announcement on Ralph Bristol’s conservative talk show on 99.7 WTN, Carr called Alexander “the most liberal” member of the state’s Republican delegation.

Insiders had anticipated a tea party candidate would challenge the 73-year-old Alexander, who has become a target of those from the far right.

So who will the current conservative politicians in Tennessee support? Many of them pander to the Tea Party, well its time to put up or shut up. And that means you US Rep. Marsha Blackburn.  A vote for Joe Carr and his primary challenge to Lamar Alexander would show a clear message to the establishment Republicans who seem more concerned with maintaining power than they do acting like Republicans with GOP principles.   He has my vote.

17 Year Old Cora Bishop Missing Since 8/18/13 in Ellsworth, ME (Update: Found Safe in Otis, ME)

17 year old Cora Bishop has been missing since Sunday, August 18, 2013 in Ellsworth, Maine. She was reported missing by her family around 4 p.m. Sunday. Bishop’s family has not seen her since before they went to church Sunday morning. When they returned from the service, Bishop was gone from their home.

Anyone with information about where Bishop might be is asked to contact Ellsworth police at 667-2168.

Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) Releases Birth Certificate … Born in Canada to an American Mother

As reported at the Dallas News,  Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) released his birth certificate this weekend. Hmm, it took Barack Obama how long to do the same?

From the TPM, Ted Cruz was born in Canada to an American mother, Ted Cruz became an instant U.S. citizen. But under Canadian law, he also became a citizen of that country the moment he was born. The popular Conservative Republican is most likely paving the way for a 2016 run for President. This is going to open up an interesting debate. Those that went out of their way to back Barack Obama in his birth certificate fight will now oppose Ted Cruz. And those who went against Obama will now defend Cruz. It would appear that if it was good for Obama, it is also good for Cruz.

In an effort to repudiate suggestions that he is ineligible to be president of the United States, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) released his birth certificate Sunday to The Dallas Morning News.

The birth certificate confirmed that the Texas Republican was born Dec. 22, 1970 in Calgary, Alberta. Because he was born to an American mother, Cruz instantly became an American citizen. But he also immediately became a Canadian citizen under the country’s law. Given his dual citizenship, Cruz could not only launch a White House bid, but he could also run for Canadian Parliament. According to legal experts, he’ll remain a citizen of both countries unless he renounces his citizenship.

Barack Obama Goes Golfing Yet Again as Egypt Burns With a Bain Capital Donor, Yes That Same Bain Capital

Barack Obama goes golfing again on Martha’s Vineyard with Bain Capital Donor … Could Obama be more of a Hypocrite?

Once again Barack Obama goes golfing as he shows he could care less about what is going on in the United States or abroad. Egypt is burning as the death toll rises and Obama golfs. And now it would appear that this time Obama went golfing with an Obama campaign donor who has ties to Bain Capital. Yes, the same Bain Capital that Barack Obama demonized his 2012 presidential campaign opponent Mitt Romney for being involved with. Isn’t that something? Could this president be more two-faced?  Obama attacked the evil Bail Capital during the election, but now he chums around with them and goes golfing with Bain donors. Doesn’t that speak volumes about this president? Remember during the debates when Obama said your job as President was not to maximize profits (VIDEO)? I bet there are many out of work individuals who after 5 years of Obama would beg to differ.

President Barack Obama hit the golf course Sunday with a campaign donor who has represented the venture-capital firm he repeatedly attacked in the 2012 election.

Mr. Obama is spending some of the last hours of his eight-day vacation on Martha’s Vineyard with Eunu Chun, a lawyer who has represented Bain Capital.

Mr. Chun, along with some other supporters with Bain Capital ties, raised funds for Mr. Obama’s re-election bid last year. The Obama campaign made Republican nominee Mitt Romney‘s ties to Bain Capital an overwhelming issue in the campaign, and Mr. Obama spent much of last year criticizing his opponent for his time at the firm.

As Weasel Zippers reminds us, Obama has gone golfing 140 times since he has been president, which is 116 more rounds than Bush played in eight years.

As the Middle East burns Obama’s only brush with the dessert sand is that of a sand trap while golfing on Martha’s Vineyard. Or a water hazzard as NRO opines.

Oh and we can’t forget  Saturday’s day on the golf course with comedian Larry David, the star of HBO’s Curb Your Enthusiasm and former U.S. trade representative Ron Kirk and businessman Glenn Hutchins, a part owner of the Boston Celtics basketball team.
