Quinnipiac Poll Shows that Majority of Americans Think NSA Leaker Snowden is a Whistle-Blower Rather than Traitor

As reported at The Hill, a recent Quinnipiac University poll finds that a majority of Americna now side with NSA whistle-blower Edward Snowden. The Quinnipiac poll finds that 55% identify Snowden as a whistle-blower and only 34% consider him a traitor. This is a dramatic shift in opinion. The public opinion appears to be changing as “We the People” hear more and more as to how the NSA was spying on all Americans and much more than we were ever lead to believe.

The Quinnipiac University poll found 55 percent identifying Snowden, who disclosed classified information detailing the NSA’s secret surveillance of phone and Internet traffic, a whistle-blower. Thirty-four percent said he was a traitor.

By 45 percent to 40 percent, respondents also said the government’s counterterrorism efforts went too far on limiting civil liberties. That marks a turnaround from a January 2010 Quinnipiac poll which found the public saying the government’s national security policies didn’t do enough by a 63 percent to 25 percent split.

“The massive swing in public opinion about civil liberties and governmental anti- terrorism efforts, and the public view that Edward Snowden is more whistle-blower than traitor are the public reaction and apparent shock at the extent to which the government has gone in trying to prevent future terrorist incidents,” said Quinnipiac University Polling Institute director Peter Brown in a statement.

The Guardian reports, that Snowden never gave any information to Chinese or Russian governments.

Sarah Palin Considering 2014 US Senate Bid for Alaska

Hey Alaska, How’s That Obama, Democrat beholden “green” energy Senator stuff working out for ya?

Sarah Palin has been making a lot of news lately and opened the doors to many opportunities. The former Alaska governor told Sean Hannity during an appearance on his radio show that the door is open to her running for the US Senate in Alaska in 2014.  Currently, Democratic freshman Sen. Mark Begich holds the office which borders on the absurd for Alaska, a state so rich in oil and resources, while they have a Senator who is beholden to the radical LEFT, anti-fossil fuel Democrats in the Senate and President Barack Obama. At present, two Republicans have already announced challenges to Democratic Sen. Mark Begich, Lt. Gov. Mead Treadwell and 2010 GOP nominee Joe Miller. Anything is possible, but Palin would have to battle the LEFT as she would have a political target on her and the establishment GOP as well. However, one thing is for certain, in a state like Alaska where Romney beat Obama in 2012 Presidential election,  55% – 41%, there is no way that Alaska should have a Democrat representing their best interests. Sarah Palin recently also commented that she would be open to start a third party if Republicans continue to not act like Republicans. Well, who wouldn’t?

Sarah Palin opened the door Tuesday to running for Senate next year in Alaska.

“I’ve considered it because people have requested me considering it, but I’m still waiting to see what the lineup will be and hoping that … there will be some new blood, some new energy,” the former governor told Sean Hannity during an appearance on his radio show.

Two Republicans have already announced challenges to Democratic freshman Sen. Mark Begich: Lt. Gov. Mead Treadwell and 2010 GOP nominee Joe Miller.

“We’d meet with any Alaskan interested in challenging Mark Begich,” National Republican Senatorial Committee spokesman Brad Dayspring told POLITICO, “and Governor Palin is right in that Begich abandoned his campaign promises — most notably by being the deciding vote on ObamaCare — and must be repealed and replaced.”

A poll conducted by Harper Polling in May 2013 found Sarah Palin leading other Republican primary contenders to face Begich in 2014. Don’t let the liberal MSM BS you, Palin would win the Senate election for Alaska.

More from The Hill:

“I’ve considered it because people have requested me considering it,” she said. “But I’m still waiting to see what the lineup will be and hoping that … there will be some new blood, new energy, not just kind of picking from the same old politicians in the state.”

Palin said she has a “heart for service” and would consider returning to politics if she could “help the cause.”

GOP House Looks To Put Delay on Obamacare Individual Mandate … Or Does Obama & Democrats Only Want to Protect Business?

WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO BARACK OBAMA’S FAIRNESS TO THE PEOPLE?

What’s good for the goose, should also be good for the gander. Or in this case, what the employers have been granted in a delay in the employer mandate should also be provided to individuals.

Speaker John Boehner and House Republicans are looking to protect average Americans as President Barack Obama has taken the side of “big” business with regards to Obamacare. House Republicans are asking for the same one year delay for “We the People” in the individual Obamacare mandate as Obama has granted to employers. Of course the fact that Barack Obama is not allowed to just arbitrarily extend one part of a law and not the whole thing is another issue.   Speaker John A. Boehner stated, “Is it fair for the president of the United States to give American businesses an exemption from his health care law’s mandates without giving the same exemption to the rest of America? Hell no, it’s not fair.” Polls show that Americans overwhelming are for a delay in the “individual mandate” … so will Obama only benefit business and not the people?

Boehner & Cantor discuss the unfairness of Obama in benefiting business, but not individuals.

House Republican leaders on Tuesday seized on the Obama administration’s one-year delay of a mandate for larger employers to offer health insurance or face penalties, demanding the same postponement for the mandate on individual insurance purchases and promising a series of showdowns aimed at dividing Democrats from the White House.

After more than two years of voting repeatedly and unsuccessfully to repeal the health care law, Republicans believe they are getting traction thanks to what they see as the Obama administration’s self-inflicted wound over the employer mandate.

House leaders began devising strategies that would most likely start this month with multiple votes, the first to codify the one-year delay on the employer mandate, then another to demand a delay on the individual mandate. They calculate that Democrats would first vote to back the administration’s decision, and would then have a hard time opposing the second measure. Some Republicans raised the possibility that a provision to repeal the individual mandate could be attached this fall to legislation raising the government’s statutory borrowing limit.

Even some Democrats are livid at Barack Obama for being one-sided in their protection against the train wreck known as Obamacare.  As reported at the Weekly Standard, Democratic senator Tom Harkin, who’s retiring at the end of this term, had some blunt words for the Obama administration over the recent change to Obamacare … “This was the law. How can they change the law?” Good question, he can’t. Barack Obama and the Democrats have been put into a box … Do Democrats side with the unpopular Obama legislation from a lame duck president or “We the People”. How peeved do they want to make the voters?
