Not only did Wetumpka Tea Party Activist Becky Gerritson weep during her testimony during the House hearings yesterday on the IRS abuse scandal, Our Founding Father wept as well.

ALL AMERICAN SHOULD WATCH THE FOLLOWING VIDEO AND UNDERSTAND JUST WHAT GOVERNMENT TYRANNY CAN DO TO AVERAGE AMERICANS … Becky Gerritson of the Wetumpka Tea Party testified yesterday during the House hearings on the IRS abuse scandal and nailed it. Did she make some grandiose political speech promising Americans free healthcare, or that she would take care of them or lecture us on how to live? NO!  Becky Gerritson delivered an emotional and powerful testimony at the House Ways and Means committee hearing on IRS abuse reminding our representative government has failed us and that you have forgotten your place.  Gerritson began crying at one point while telling her story on how her group was targeted, harassed and abused by the IRS.

We wanted to give ordinary citizens the chance to speak their concerns. Our event had no party affiliation. I could not tell you if the attendees were Republicans. Democrats or Independents. It didn’t matter, the only political notion that was expressed was one that we collectively felt, that our representative government had failed us. That was the birth of the Wetumpka Tea Party. [...] In  Wetumpka, we are patriotic Americans, we peacefully assemble, we petition our government, we exercise the rights to free speech. And we do not understand why out government tried to stop us. I am not here as a surf or vassal. I am not begging my lords for mercy. I am a born free, American woman, wife mother and citizen and I  am telling my government, YOU HAVE FORGOTTEN YOUR PLACE! Its not your responsibility to look after my well being and to monitor my speech.

The IRS targeted the Wetumpka Tea Party to stifle “free speech”.

She called the IRS’ demands a “willful act of intimidation to discourage a point of view” and “un-American.”

Gerritson again became choked up as she concluded her statement, saying, “I’m not interested in scoring political points. I want to preserve and protect the America that I grew up in. The America that people crossed oceans and risked their lives to become a part of, and I’m terrified it’s slipping away. Thank you very much.”

HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius Won’t Waive Transplant Regulation For 10 Year Old of Sarah Murnaghan With Five Weeks To Live, Says “Someone Lives And Someone Dies”

No Death Panels eh, looks like we already have them … How insensitive and inhumane could one possibly be? Welcome to government, bureaucratic, regulation healthcare murder …  Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius refused to get involved and save a 10 year old girl who unless she has a lung transplant will die in 5 weeks. UNREAL. What kind of human being refuses to step in and help a 10 year old child from dying? Why Obama’s Health and Human Secretary of course. HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius refuses to get involved to save Sarah Murnaghan …  “Someone Lives And Someone Dies …. “ Far be it from the individual in charge of Health and Human services in the United States be concerned of the health of 10 year old Sarah Murnaghan or for that fact, acting human. What is preventing Sarah Murnaghan from getting a lung transplant? Murnaghan, who is suffering from a terminal case of cystic fibrosis, is ineligible for the lung she needs to survive because she is not yet 12 years old, the minimum age to be defined as an adult. Instead, Kathleen Sebelius is more interested in implementing the “train wreck” that is Obamacare, rather than actually helping a child who is dying. It simply took her signature to allow this child to have a chance at living and she refused. Sebelius refuses to make an exception and suspend the rules and review the policy. Sebelius is the face of evil. It is beyond words how this woman would not step in. SICK, JUST SICK.

“I would suggest, sir, that, again, this is an incredibly agonizing situation where someone lives and someone dies,” Sebelius replied.

Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius rebuffed an appeal from Rep. Lou Barletta on behalf of a girl who needs a lung transplant but can’t get one because of a federal regulation that prevents her from qualifying for a transplant.

“Please, suspend the rules until we look at this policy,” Barletta, a Pennsylvania Republican, asked Sebelius during a House hearing Tuesday on behalf of Sarah Murnaghan, a 10-year-old girl who needs a lung transplant. She can’t qualify for an adult lung transplant until the age of 12, according to federal regulations, but Sebelius has the authority to waive that rule on her behalf. The pediatric lungs for which she currently qualifies aren’t available.

Weasel Zippers is 100% correct when they say, “Heartless doesn’t even begin to describe Sebelius.” More from Ed Driscol, Remember when PolitiFact named “death panels” the “Lie of the Year”? Turns out they were dead right. After all, Kathleen Sebelius isn’t a panel. Hmm, and I thoutt liberals were supposed to care about people and be so compassionate. Guess Not! Statement from Sarah’s family:

“Secretary Sebelius’ decision to not exercise her very clear authority under the law to intervene and mandate a variance that would help save Sarah’s life is devastating,” they said in a statement. “Essentially, Sarah has been left to die.”

On a personal note, I have been the advocates of children and teens with cystic fibrosis as I have worked with respiratory therapists whose sole purpose was to help families provide care and chest and respiratory therapy to their patients. The battles that I had with health insurance carriers and guilt them into providing care and honor their policies were legendary. I had to actually threaten some carriers with brings families on TV and provide the social shame of denying a child care, let alone a lung transplant like in this case. My heart goes out to this family as I can empathize to exactly what they are going through. I have seen it first hand. It is shameful, simply shameful that this child is being denied, simply because of her age. Take a good look America at what is going on in this country. I am sure we could find a liver for a drunken politician or individual of means, couldn’t we? But some how there is no leadership in Washington, DC. The individual in charge of health in the United States is abdicating her authority and refusing to save an American citizen. It tells me all I need to know about the Obama administration, Obamacare and health care under this president.

Conservative & Tea Party Groups Testify Today to House Ways and Means Hearing in IRS Scandal

WE THE PEOPLE ARE HEARD TODAY ON CAPITAL HILL …

Conservative groups and Tea Party organization who have been Unconstitutionally targeted by the IRS will let their voices be heard on Capitol Hill today. Six conservative groups are scheduled to tell lawmaker how they were unfairly and illegally targeted by the IRS in preventing them from becoming non-profit organizations in the run up to the 2012 presidential election. Heck, according to some, the heinous, bullying tactics of the IRS are still going on today, even after this scandal has been uncovered. America, take a good look what tyranny looks like.

Conservative groups who were targeted by the Internal Revenue Service are getting their say on Capitol Hill just as the details of another IRS controversy are being made public.

The leaders of six conservative groups were scheduled to tell lawmakers Tuesday about their mistreatment at the hands of IRS agents. Several of the groups say their applications for tax-exempt status were delayed while agents asked intrusive questions that the IRS has since acknowledged were inappropriate. One group, the National Organization for Marriage, says the IRS publicly disclosed confidential information about donors.

Leaders of the groups were scheduled to testify before the House Ways and Means Committee. Ways and Means is one of three congressional committees investigating the IRS’ treatment of such groups. The Justice Department is conducting a criminal investigation.
