Former President George W. Bush’s Favorability in the Positive for First Time Since 2005
George W. Bush, do you miss me yet?
According to a recent Gallup poll, former President George W. Bush has a higher favorable than unfavorable for the first time since 2005. When Bush left office in January 2009, he has a 40% favorably and 59% unfavorably. It was even worse than that one later. However, according to the most recent poll GWB has a 49% favorable and 46% unfavorable view. George W. Bush has pretty much stayed out of the public eye since leaving office and has remained quiet when it comes to politics and his successor. One has to wonder whether the current occupant of the White House will do the same. With the current state of affairs with the numerous scandals in the Obama administration, a continued poor economy, record number of Americans on Food Stamps, median household income down, and a Middle East that is on fire many Americans probably will pose the question to themselves, “Miss Me Yet?”
GWB did some things that were questionable in the eyes of conservatives and did escalate the US national debt; however, it was nothing compared to Barack Obama as he has skyrocketed the debt to out of control limits. Bush’s favorability is making a come back, but he has a long way to go. Many have said, history will be more kind to “W” as we look back on his presidency and realize he had to make many tough decisions that were important to protect America but was not popular for him.
Americans’ views of former president George W. Bush have improved, with 49% now viewing him favorably and 46% unfavorably. That is the first time since 2005 that opinions of him have been more positive than negative.
Bush has maintained a fairly low profile in the four years since he left office. However, he returned to the public eye this year with the April opening of his presidential library at Southern Methodist University in Dallas.
Bush left office with 40% viewing him favorably and 59% unfavorably in January 2009. That worsened to 35% favorable and 63% unfavorable in March 2009, but his favorable rating recovered to the mid-40% range by 2010.
CNN: America starting to remember “W” fondly.
Breaking it down further, Bush has seen improvement among independents and both political parties. Twenty-four percent of Democrats view him in a positive light, according to the new survey, compared to 10% in January 2009. Republicans saw a 14 percentage point jump, with 84% now having a positive opinion of Bush.
The biggest increase came among independents. While 29% gave him a favorable rating in 2009, that number now stands at 46%.

Obama Administration Reverses Decision, Obama Allows Morning-after Plan B Contraception pills To Be Purchased by Girls of any Age
ARE YOU KIDDING ME …
Obama administration reverses position and now allows individuals of any age, yes no age limitation, to purchase Morning-after Plan B contraception pills with no prescription. Obama’s Justice Department has decided to drop their appeal . WTF!!! So let’s get this correct, I have to supply ID and a driver’s license when purchasing Sudafed and children need a parents note to take aspirin and Tylenol in school, but some how individuals of any age with no prescription can now buy the Morning after Plan B contraception pill. Seriously, what happened to the country I grew up in? What a sick, sick world we live in where it is easier to get birth control for a 10 year old girl without any doctor’s prescription or parental consent, but we arrest and suspend 10 year old boys who bring a plastic toy gun to school. All in the name of radical feminists for women’s “health and equity.” No, you just made it easier for little girls to be abused and forced into sexual situations. Who finds it comical that you can get birth control with no age limit, but need to be 21 to legally drink alcohol?
How typical of Obama, on one hand he claims he is against it, and then on the other he has his Justice Department stop the appeal that would prevent 10 year old girls from having free access to birth control. What a joke, I guess Obama will say he just learned about this too, when the media reported it Monday.
The Obama administration will stop trying to limit sales of emergency contraception pills, making the morning-after pill available to women of all ages without a prescription.
The US justice department said in a letter on Monday that it planned to comply with a court’s ruling to allow unrestricted sales of Plan B One-Step and that it would withdraw its appeal on the matter.
The move is the latest in a lengthy legal fight over the morning-after pill, which was until recently only available without a prescription to women 17 and older who presented proof of age at a pharmacist’s counter.
Plaintiffs in a federal lawsuit against the FDA said the limit unfairly kept women and girls from accessing the drug, which is most effective when taken within 72 hours of intercourse.
From The Hill: Obama administration will approve ‘Plan B’ pill for women and girls of all ages.
Obama had previously said he was uncomfortable with removing all age restrictions on the sale of the so-called “morning after pill.” He said over a year ago that “as the father of two daughters,” he supported his Health secretary’s decision to block over-the-counter sales for younger teens. But a federal judge excoriated the administration’s defense of age limits on the pill, calling it a nakedly political decision divorced from science.
The administration’s sudden reversal came after the Food and Drug Administration had sought to block the judge’s order requiring it to make Plan B available without a prescription to women and girls of all ages.

Hillary Clinton’s Favorability Slipping in Wake of Benghazi Scandal and Scrubbed Talking Points
Is Hillary’s approval rating tied to Barack Obama and his scandals, including her role in Benghazi?
Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton finds her favorability ratings falling in wake of the revelations in the Benghazi scandal and State Departments efforts to change the Benghazi talking points following the terror attack that left four Americans dead, including Ambassador Chris Stevens. According to a recent Gallup poll, her rating fell slightly in June to 58%, from 64% in April. Clinton has garnered a high approval rating following the days of her husband’s presidency when she acted like she was a second president and told America “she was no stand by your man woman, baking cookies” (VIDEO). Hmm, really? Turns out she was. Now, the Democrats darling and top choice for the presidential nominee in 2016 faces the aftermath of Benghazi where she failed those in her charge before, during and after. According to the poll, Hillary is way down with Independents from 63% to 52%. Look for these numbers to go down even further, the more and more that comes out. Also, with no one answering questions, and Obama rewarding Susan Rice with a promotion to National Security Adviser, if Hillary runs in 2016 she is going to have to explain herself in the Democrat primary and in the general election campaign.
Hillary Clinton said when she was grilled by Congress on the Benghazi attack, “What’s The Difference?” there are four dead Americans. Really Hillary? There are four dead Americans, the decisions made before during and after the attack were a disaster and she defiantly says, what difference does it make? Is this what we really need as Commander in Chief? Haven’t we had enough of individuals of an administration that would leave Americans to die as they begged for help and then tried to scrub the talking points to the point where they reflected nothing of what really occurred?
“What difference at this point does it make?” So we are to forget all that happened because it makes Hillary look bad for 2016.
Hillary Clinton’s favorability rating fell slightly in June to 58%, from 64% in April. That is the first sub-60% rating Americans have given her since 2008. Clinton’s unfavorable rating now stands at 39%, up from 31% in April.
This poll shows only slight changes in the public’s overall assessment of Clinton, with her unfavorable rating now marginally higher than at any time since 2008. However, there is no telling what the future might hold, as members of the House Oversight Committee have publicly speculated that Clinton may have to testify before the Republican-led committee again.
Although Democratic and Republican attitudes toward Clinton have been static over these past contentious months, independents’ views are now notably less favorable. A slim majority (52%) of independents hold a favorable opinion of Clinton, down from 63% in April.
