20 Year Old University of Chicago Student Austin Hudson – LaPore Missing Since June 12, 2013 in Chicago, IL (Update: Body Found in Lake Michigan)

20 year old, University of Chicago student, Austin Hudson-LaPore has been missing since Wednesday, June 12, 2013 in Chicago, Il. According to reports, Austin Hudson-LaPore was last seen in the 5300 block of South Kimbark Avenue after leaving his apartment between 8.30 and 10pm Wednesday night without his wallet or cell phone. It is believed that he went out because of his fascination of weather to watch the strong storms that passed through the area Wednesday night. On Friday, Austin Hudson’s loved ones appealed to the public for help in finding Austin.

At a press conference Friday, the missing student’s father, Gregg LaPore, said that his son is fascinated by weather, which may have been the reason why he decided to go out Wednesday night, the Chicago Tribune reported.

A powerful storm system passed through the Midwest on June 12, bringing torrential rains, gusty winds, hail and lightning to the area.

A missing persons report describes Hudson-LaPore as weighing 110lbs and standing at 5 feet 7 inches, with blond hair, blue eyes and a fair complexion. He was last seen wearing blue jeans and black sneakers.

Austin’s family has also launched a website called FindAustinHudson.com, as well as a Tumblr account by the same name, containing photos of the 20-year-old and additional information about him.

On the site, Austin’s family wrote that that the student returned to his apartment at around 12.30pm Wednesday after finishing his final exam and stayed there until the early evening, browsing sport scores online.

At some point between 8.30pm and 10pm, Hudson-LaPore left his apartment, which he shares with a roommate, with only his keys on hand.

UPDATE I: Rising fourth-year reported missing as of Friday.

During a press conference outside of Rockefeller Chapel at 8:30 p.m. Friday evening, Greg Lapore, Austin Hudson-Lapore’s father, spoke briefly about his son, urging anyone with information to contact the Chicago Police Department.

On Wednesday evening between 8:30 and 10:00 p.m., Austin left his apartment to walk along 53rd Street or 55th Street and has not been seen since, Greg Lapore said during the conference. The family believes that Austin was walking towards Lake Michigan and that something went wrong during that trek.

As for questions about why Austin would leave his wallet and cell phone behind, Greg Lapore said that his son has always had a fascination with weather. “He’s a very outdoorsy guy, and wouldn’t think anything of going for a walk in a driving rainstorm [without his wallet or cell phone], if he got to see something really exciting,” he said.

UPDATE II: The body of missing Austin Hudson-LaPore was found today in Lake Michigan.

CBS 2’s Kris Habermehl reports, around 6:50 a.m., Chicago Police Marine Unit divers pulled a body from Lake Michigan near Oakwood Boulevard. A fisherman spotted the body in the lake and called police around 6:30 a.m.

After the body was recovered, it was taken to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office, where authorities confirmed the victim was 20-year-old Austin Hudson-Lapore, who went missing on June 12.

It’s not clear if he fell in the water by accident, or if something else occurred. Autopsy results were not immediately available Wednesday afternoon.

What ever happened to the dream of Our Founding Fathers of a government of, by and for the People? It would appear that those days are gone as Americans now fear the very government that is supposed to be for “We the People”. The continual scandals of the Obama administration bring into play just how big, how out of control and how vindictive the federal government has become.  In a recent Rasmussen poll, 57% of Americans fear the Government will use NSA data to harass political opponents. Why would they feel like that, it’s not as though the IRS willfully and purposely targeted conservative and Tea Party organizations, while they have liberal and progressive groups a free pass. Oh that’s right, they did. Forget the fact that it is most likely Unconstitutional to collect data on all Americans to use at a later date, whether it is for national security or not. The problem is that when there is a situation that can present itself for abuse, it will be compromised. We need to look no further than the IRS scandal that obviously aided Barack Obama in winning reelection by harassing and preventing his opponents from organizing. And despite the fact that Barack Obama has told us that they do not listen in on phone calls, according to another Rasmussen poll, 68% think it is likely that the government is listening to their conversations.

Making matters worse that Americans have lost trust in their government is that 56% of Americans believe that their Government is a threat to their individuals rights. How is this possible that “WE THE PEOPLE” have allowed a government to go rogue? Another 60% say it is likely other agencies targeted Conservatives as well. We have a government that is “Too Big” to succeed. What are the chances that the IRS also perpetrated their illegal acts against conservatives to help Obama and ensure that Obamacare would not be repealed along with the 16,000 news IRS jobs that go along with Obamacare? Hmm, think there is a slight conflict of interest there from the organization that was to implement and enforce Obamacare?

The United States was founded on a belief that governments are created to protect certain unalienable rights. Today, however, more voters than ever view the federal government as a threat to those rights.

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 56% of Likely U.S. Voters now consider the federal government a threat to individual rights rather than a protector of those rights. That’s up 10 points from 46% in December.

9 Month Old Levon Wameling Missing Since May 29, 2013 in Utica, NY … Child Was Missing Two Weeks After Child Disappeared

Nine month old Levon Wameling has been missing since May 29, 2013 in Utica, New York. The mother of the missing 9-month-old made a plea to the public Thursday to help find her child. The police stated, the infant was last seen around 11:30 p.m. May 29, on the front porch of 748 Jay Street in Utica. However, according to police Levon’s father, Jevon Wameling, reported the child was missing two weeks after he disappeared when family members were asking about the child. Huh? This is hardly a good sign that two weeks went by before anyone thought to report a child missing. The mother, Amy Warney, was in a rehabilitation facility when Levon Wameling went missing two weeks ago.

Jevon Wameling told police he left his child unattended for a few minutes in front of his home on Jay Street when he realized he was locked out of his home. He went around to the back of the home to get inside and when he returned to the front of the house, the child was missing, he said.

Officials continue to search the area around Jay Street. Canine units, state police, the FBI, and the Center for Missing and Exploited Children are all assisting with the search. Police have been searching the area for two days. They are interviewing family members and neighbors, they said.

No arrests have been made in connection with the case.

UPDATE I: “Based on the information that he’s given us, we have a lot of concern,” said Utica Police Chief Mark Williams.

He wouldn’t elaborate on why the father waited until his parents prompted him to report Levon missing.

“We have a problem with what he says,” Williams said. “There’s no question about it.”

The father told investigators he took the child out for a late-night walk and locked himself out, so he put the boy down on the small front porch to the home and went around back to find a way in.

When he opened the front door, he said, the baby was gone.

SACRIFICE: Obama & First Family Trip to Africa Will Cost U.S. Taxpayers Between $60 and $100 Million

Title this one, Sequester, what sequester? Or, It’s Good to be King. Or, You Can Go Home Again  ;-)

As reported at the Washington Post, President Barack Obama and his families trip to Africa will be one of the most expensive trips ever and cost the American tax payers between $60 and $100 million. That is correct. As millions of Americans are unemployed, under-employed, and struggle to get by on a day to day basis. This takes place as a record number of Americans are on food stamps and disability. This occurs as so-called sequestration has caused government departments to cut back and furlough workers. Barack Obama has said in the past that every one has to have skin in the game and must sacrifice? That is everyone but him. As Weasel Zippers states, “Just as long as the King and Queen of America enjoy themselves.” This man truly is a community agitator. Who does this at a time that the United States finds itself in record debt?

So let’s understand this, fighter jets will fly in shifts, giving 24-hour coverage over the president’s airspace, a Navy aircraft carrier or amphibious ship, with a fully staffed medical trauma center, will be stationed offshore in case of an emergency but yet Americans were left to die in Benghazi without any military help within an 8 hour range? Really? Furthermore, we are in the midst of questioning the IRS for their lavish and over the top wasteful spending, yet Obama’s jaunt to Africa gets the rubber stamp of approval? The LEFT will be quick to say, well Bush did it. Is that really a defense? I thought Obama wasn’t W? We realize that other presidents have gone on expensive trips as well, but this president is not supposed to be like others. Obama says he cares about the poor and the middle class. Obama claims that he identifies with the common man and plays class warfare. However, this imperial, do as I say, not as I do, let them eat cake president just snubs his nose at the American people and does any damn thing he wants at the expense of ‘We the People”. What a disgrace.

Hundreds of U.S. Secret Service agents will be dispatched to secure facilities in Senegal, South Africa and Tanzania. A Navy aircraft carrier or amphibious ship, with a fully staffed medical trauma center, will be stationed offshore in case of an emergency.

Military cargo planes will airlift in 56 support vehicles, including 14 limousines and three trucks loaded with sheets of bullet­proof glass to cover the windows of the hotels where the first family will stay. Fighter jets will fly in shifts, giving 24-hour coverage over the president’s airspace, so they can intervene quickly if an errant plane gets too close.

The elaborate security provisions — which will cost the government tens of millions of dollars — are outlined in a confidential internal planning document obtained by The Washington Post. While the preparations appear to be in line with similar travels in the past, the document offers an unusual glimpse into the colossal efforts to protect the U.S. commander in chief on trips abroad.

Obama’s trip could cost the federal government $60 million to $100 million based on the costs of similar African trips in recent years, according to one person familiar with the journey, who was not authorized to speak for attribution. The Secret Service planning document, which was provided to The Post by a person who is concerned about the amount of resources necessary for the trip, does not specify costs.

The Weekly Standard reports that after the WAPO questioned the costs of a planned family safari, the White House nixed the plan. So does that mean if we question the entire trip, they will cancel this ridiculous, over-priced boondoggle as well?
