Legendary Comic and Impersonator Jonathan Winters Dies at Age 87 … RIP
The death of true comedy …
Legendary comic and impersonator Jonathan Winters has passed away at his home in Montecito, California at age 87. The world just got a little less funny with his passing. Jonathan Winters was simply hysterical. Remember an era of comedy that was not mean spirited, laced with profanity and witty, neither do I. But during Winters’ era it was. Winters was a comic genius who could switch in and out of character impersonations like we switch a light switch or today’s generations change their Facebook status, tweet or text. Winters inspired generations of improve comics, probably none better than Robbin Williams. And as fate would have it, Winters would later have a role on Williams’ popular TV show ‘Mork & Mindy’ VIDEO) as his son Merth. However, I remember Winters best for his role in It’s a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World. Just priceless comedy. The gas station scene (VIDEO) with Winters and Fred Silver … just too funny. This movie just never gets old. And who can forget when Jonathon Winters was a special guest crime solving with the Scooby Doo gang (VIDEO) where he played himself, Jonathan Winters, the not so famous comedian, hahaha. We shall miss you.
Jonathan Winters, November 11, 1925 – April 11, 2013 - RIP
Mr. Winters was at his best when winging it, confounding television hosts and luckless straight men with his rapid-fire delivery of bizarre observations uttered by characters like Elwood P. Suggins, a Midwestern Everyman, or one-off creations like the woodland sprite who bounded onto Jack Paar’s late-night show and simperingly proclaimed: “I’m the voice of spring. I bring you little goodies from the forest.”
A one-man sketch factory, Mr. Winters could re-enact Hollywood movies, complete with sound effects, or create sublime comic nonsense with simple props like a pen-and-pencil set.
The unpredictable, often surreal quality of his humor had a powerful influence on later comedians like Robin Williams but made him hard to package as an entertainer. His brilliant turns as a guest on programs like “The Steve Allen Show” and “The Tonight Show” — in both the Jack Paar and Johnny Carson eras — kept him in constant demand. But a successful television series eluded him, as did a Hollywood career, despite memorable performances in films like “It’s a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World,” “The Loved One” and “The Russians Are Coming, the Russians Are Coming.”

11 Year Old Nautaysha Tarver Missing Since 4/11/13 in Detroit, Michigan (Update: Found Safe)
11 year old Nautaysha Tarver has been missing since Thursday afternoon, April 11, 2013 in Detroit. MI. According to the Detroit Free Press, Nautaysha Tarver was last seen by her younger brother around 3 p.m. on Thursday as she walked on Lappin and Crusade. Tarver told her brother that she was going back to school, in the 15600 block of E. Seven Mile for detention. However, when the mother arrived at the school at 4:30 pm to pick her daughter up, she was not there. One needs to first ask the question of the school whether missing Nautaysha Tarver was ever at the school serving detention? It does seem a bit odd for someone to leave school and then return for detention. Normally one would serve the detention directly after school ends. And if so, did they actually allow her to leave by herself or is it the school’s policy to let students just leave on their own without being picked up by an adult on record with the school?
Tarver is 4’-ll.” She weighs 110-115 pounds and has a medium brown complexion, medium length black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a black knitted hat, green shirt, tan pants, a rust-colored, waist-length jacket and turquoise, white and purple athletic shoes, police said. She is emotionally impaired and takes medication.
If anyone has any information regarding missing Nautaysha Tarver, please call Detroit Police Department’s Criminal Investigations at 313-596-1340
UPDATE I: Nautaysha Tarver found safe at friends house.
Liberal Super PAC ‘Progress Kentucky’ Who Made Racist Comments About Mitch McConnell’s Asian Wife Responsible For Illegal Secretly Recording Opposition Meeting On Ashley Judd
WATERGATE II in the “Blue Grass” State …
It turns out that a liberal super PAC group, “Progress Kentucky,” was responsible for the illegal recordings of Republican Kentucky Senator Mitch McConnell and his campaign staffers. The secretly and illegally recorded meeting was an opposition discussion on one time Democrat opponent, actor Ashley Judd. As reported at WFPL News, Jacob Conway, an executive committee member of the Jefferson County Democratic Party said the founders of Progressive Kentucky Shawn Reilly and Curtis Morrison were responsible for the illegal recording and bragged about recording the meeting.
A secret recording of a campaign strategy session between U.S. Senator Mitch McConnell and his advisors was taped by leaders of the Progress Kentucky super PAC, says a longtime local Democratic operative.
Mother Jones Magazine released the tape this week. The meeting itself took place on Feb. 2.
Jacob Conway, who is on the executive committee of the Jefferson County Democratic Party, says that day, Shawn Reilly and Curtis Morrison, who founded and volunteered for Progress Kentucky, respectively, bragged to him about how they recorded the meeting.
Progress Kentucky was the same group that made the racist, bigoted and reprehensible comments regarding Sen. McConnell’s Taiwanese born wife, former Secretary of Labor Elaine Chao.
Much More from Mary Catherine Hamm at Hot Air and the “Water-Gating” of Mitch McConnell. Jacob Conway, who is on the executive committee of the Jefferson County Democratic Party outed ‘Progress Kentucky’ for the good of the party. Sounds more like a the rats fleeing the sinking ship and all individuals for themselves.
Dem Outed Liberal Group On McConnell Recordings For Good Of The Party
As stated at Legal Insurrection, “Mother Jones, who obtained and disseminated the tape as an exclusive, and David Corn better start lawyering up (which I assume they already have), because the question will become What did Mother Jones know about alleged McConnell bugging, and when did it know it?”
More from the illegal taping of the McConnell opposition meeting:
On Feb. 2, McConnell opened his campaign headquarters in the Watterson Office Park in Louisville and invited trusted GOP activists and select media outlets to an open house. The event lasted roughly two hours. Afterward, McConnell and several campaign advisors held a strategy session in an office meeting room.
Morrison and Reilly did not attend the open house, but they told Conway they arrived later and were able to hear the meeting from the hallway.
“They were in the hallway after the, I guess after the celebration and hoopla ended, apparently these people broke for lunch and had a strategy meeting, which is, in every campaign I’ve been affiliated with, makes perfect sense,” says Conway. “One of them held the elevator, the other one did the recording and they left. That was what they told to me from them directly.”

TCNJ Student Paige Aiello Missing in New Jersey Since 4/9/13, Update: Aiello’s Purse, Wallet & Phone Found on the George Washington Bridge
New clues found in the disappearance of 22 year old missing Paige Aiello, her purse, wallet and phone were found on the George Washington Bridge. Police are searching the waters near the GW.
22 year old TCNJ college student Paige Aiello has been missing since Tuesday, April 9, 2013 in New Jersey. The Hillsboro, NJ resident, Paige Aiello has an on-campus apartment at TCNJ; however, according to family members has been staying at home recently. Her father drove her to class Tuesday morning and also drove her home around 1 PM. This was the last time she has been seen. When her mother returned home at 2:45 PM, Paige was gone and had taken her mother’s 2006 grey Audi A4 without permission, according to the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office. The family reported her missing to Hillsborough police at 7:45 PM. The Audi A4 was found about 10: PM on Wednesday by the New Brunswick Police Department in the Gateway parking garage located on Somerset Street in New Brunswick, NJ. Paige Aiello was reported missing on Wednesday. At this time the police are saying they do not suspect foul play.
Now new and disturbing clues have been discovered in the disappearance of TCNJ student Paige Aiello. Her purse, including her car keys, wallet and cell phone were found on the south walkway of the upper level of the George Washington Bridge. This prompted police to search the waters of the Hudson River near the GW. So far they have found nothing. Could stress have lead to the unthinkable? Her sister has stated that “she’s [Paige] a perfectionist, she’s a very driven kid. The stress of classes and a recent breakdown had led Paige Aiello to spend more time at home, living there instead of her on-campus apartment.”
Paige Aiello’s purse containing her car keys and mobile phone were found on the south walkway of the upper level of the George Washington Bridge by a passer-by at 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, the prosecutor’s office said.
The Good Samaritan who found the purse called the Aiellos and a search was launched in the Hudson River near the bridge, prosecutors said. Port Authority Police Department was assisted in the search by Harbor Patrol, the U.S. Coast Guard, New York Police Department Patrol and Aviation Units, prosecutors said.
A Port Authority of NY/NJ spokesman said nothing was found in the water. An NYPD spokesman said today he did not believe the Harbor Patrol has returned to the area to resume the search.
Anyone with information on her disappearance is asked to call the Hillsborough Township Police Department at (908) 369-4323, the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office at (908) 575-3300, Somerset County Crime Stoppers’ Tip Line at (888) 577-TIPS(8477) or online at www.888577tips.org or www.scpo.net and click on either “Crime Stoppers” or “TIPS HOTLINE”.
