Missing 5 Year Old Ralph Knowles & His 7 Year Old Sister Sharon Knowles Found Dead, Drown in Neighbor’s Pool

Terrible and tragic news out of Long Island, New York …

5 year old Ralph Knowles and his 7 year old sister Sharon Knowles disappeared from their home in Central Islip, NY home Sunday afternoon, April 14. Their mother, Tia Knowles, called 911 to report her two children missing at approximately 3:30 pm. While searching for the two children,  a police officer spotted a shoe floating in a next door neighbor’s pool. Subsequently, officers discovered the unconscious fully clothed bodies of Ralph and Sharon Knowles in the pool. They were rushed to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore where efforts to resuscitate them failed and they were both pronounced dead.

While searching the neighborhood in 50-degree temperatures, a police officer spotted a shoe floating in a next-door neighbor’s aboveground pool, which was uncovered and contained blackish water, Fandrey said.   Officers jumped into the 4-foot-deep pool and discovered the unconscious bodies of Ralph Knowles and Sharon Knowles. The brother and sister, who were fully clothed, were taken to Southside Hospital, where efforts to resuscitate them failed, Fandrey said.

He said the pool’s owner had been cited by the town for improper fencing.

The officer who saw the shoe was sure a horrifying reality lay at the bottom of the pool, police said.

“The officers tell us the officers that saw the shoe, that as soon as he saw the shoe, he had a sickening feeling that the children may be in that pool, so he jumped into the pool. And the pool was not covered in any way, and the water was just black. He couldn’t search. He had to search by feel,” Fandrey told WCBS 880.

Indeed, Ralph and Sharon were found lifeless, submerged in a backyard pool at a neighbor’s home at 112 Half Mile Rd. in Central Islip, police said. Two officers pulled the lifeless bodies — first Sharon, then Ralph, to the surface.

A truly tragic situation.

Adam Scott wins The Masters on the second playoff hole defeating Angel Cabrera for his first major championship. I was also the first time any Australian golfer won the tournament as Adam Scott is now the proud owner of a Green Jacket. There is no doubt that they will be tipping back some beers back  and slip a couple more shrimp on the barbie in Australia celebrating this victory. The fantastic part about this was that Adam Scott won the Masters, no one lost it. Scott and Cabrera proved in shot after shot that it ain’t easy being green.

The battle between Scott and Cabrera down the stretch on 17 and 18 in regulation in the pouring rain as darkness set in was epic. Just minutes after Adam Scott made his 20 foot birdie putt on the 18th hole for a 3-under 69 to take a one-shot lead he screamed,”C’mon, Aussie!”  and high fived his caddie Steve Williams …  Cabrera answered with an amazing approach that landed 3 feet from the cup. Under the circumstances and the pressure, it was simply one of the greatest shots, and it had to be.  Cabrera would tap in the easy birdie and a 2-under 70, tie with Scott.

The two continued their Rocky-Apollo Creed golf battle into the playoff matching shot for amazing shot. Then on the second playoff hole, the 10th, with Cabrera just missing his birdie put, settling for par … Adam Scott drained a 12-footer for birdie to win the Masters and become the first Australian golfer ever to do so. KUDOS to Scott.

With the two biggest putts of his career, Scott holed a 20-footer for birdie on the 18th hole of regulation that put him into a playoff with Angel Cabrera, and then won his first major championship Sunday with a 12-footer for birdie on the second extra hole.

Scott leaned back and thrust his arms in the air after the putt dropped on the 10th hole, a celebration for all of Australia and personal redemption for himself. It was only last summer when Scott threw away the Open Championship by making bogey on his last four holes to lose by one shot to Ernie Els.

The 32-year-old handled that crushing defeat with dignity and pledged to finish stronger given another chance. “Next time — I’m sure there will be a next time — I can do a better job of it,” he said that day.

Scott was close to perfect, and he had to be with Cabrera delivering some brilliance of his own.

They are partying Down Under like it was 1999 1983. Not since 1983 in Newport, RI when Australia II won the America’s Cup and ended the 132 year American reign as sailing champs has golf loving Australia celebrated a sporting event more than they will this Masters victory.

Jenna Bush Hager Gives Birth to Baby Girl … Margaret Laura ‘Mila’ Hager, Making GWB and Laura Bush Grandparents

Congratulations to Jenna Bush Hager and her husband Henry Hager on the birth of their daughter, Margaret Laura ‘Mila’ Hager.  The baby was named after her two grandmothers and already has a nickname — “Mila.”  It would appear that this is a Bush family tradition, as Jenna and twin Barbara were named after their grandmothers, too. 31  year old Jenna Bush Hager, wow, I cannot believe she is 31, where have the years gone, gave birth to her first child last night, April 13, at 8:43pm in New York City and an undisclosed NYC hospital.

Former first couple George W. and Laura Bush said Sunday they were “elated” at the news their daughter Jenna had given birth to a girl.

“Laura and I are thrilled to announce the birth of our grandchild, Margaret Laura ‘Mila’ Hager,” the first-time grandparents wrote in a statement, noting the new addition to the Bush family was named for her grandmothers.

“She was born last night, April 13, at 8:43pm in New York City. We met our beautiful granddaughter today. Jenna and Mila are healthy. And our family is elated,” they continued.

Jenna Bush Hager, 31, announced in December that she was expecting her first child, who is also the first grandchild for the former president and his wife. At the time, she said she was “nervous and so excited” about the pregnancy.

5 Year Old Cameron Serafin Missing Since 4/7/13 from Fairfax County, VA … Custodial Interference Arrest Warrant Issued for 32 Year Old Mother Rebecca Serafin (Update: Spotted in Las Vegas)

MISSING 5 YEAR OLD CAMERON SERAFIN ABDUCTED BY HIS MOTHER, REBECCA SERAFIN

5 year old Cameron Serafin has been missing since Sunday, April 7, 2013 from Fairfax County, Virginia. Rebecca Serafin, the boys mother who shares joint custody with Cameron’s father, Joe Serafin, was supposed to return the child last Sunday and never did. According to police, Rebecca Serafin altered Cameron’s and her own appearance to try to avoid being found.  Joe Serafin stated that he contacted his wife’s parents and they said that she had packed bags and told them she was going on a weekend trip. Rebecca Serafin’s car was found in Arlington, VA last Tuesday and there is surveillance video tape from a bank showing Rebecca withdrawing all her money and closing her account. This is not the first time that Rebecca Serafin has taken the child. Last year the mom took off with Cameron to California and it took the dad 9 months to find them.

Police have issued a misdemeanor custodial interference arrest warrant for Rebecca Serafin; however, if she took the child across state lines, it now escalates the charges to a federal offense. Joe Serafin says his ex-wife, Rebecca, has a history of mental illness and substance abuse, which includes prescription drugs and heroin.

 The dad of missing 5-year-old Cameron Serafin believes ex-wife, son are headed west.

The father of a missing 5-year-old boy tells WTOP he believes his ex- wife may be heading to the west coast with their son.

Joe Serafin says he thinks Rebecca Serafin and Cameron may be heading west, but is not aware that she has any friends or family in that part of the country.

Fairfax County police say Rebecca Serafin is now being charged with felony parental abduction, because police believe she’s taken Cameron out of Virginia where she and Joe Serafin share custody. [...]

According to police, Rebecca Serafin altered her appearance and Cameron’s appearance in an “apparent attempt to avoid being located.”

Serafin says his ex-wife, Rebecca has a history of mental illness and substance abuse, which includes prescription drugs and heroin.

UPDATE I: Missing Va. 5-year-old, mom spotted in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Authorities said a Virginia mother who disappeared with her 5-year-old son last week has been spotted in Las Vegas.

Detectives think the child’s mother has changed her appearance and run off with the boy after he was not returned to his father on Sunday, April 7.

Fairfax police said the pair were seen on Thursday, April 11, at McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas around 10 p.m. The mother and son had arrived on a flight from Birmingham and could be headed for Los Angeles, according to police.

Florida Dad Furious After Finding His 4th Grade Son’s School Paper: “I Am Willing to Give Up Some of My Constitutional Rights … to Be Safer”

READING , WRITING and INDOCTRINATION …

These public schools just do not give up on brainwashing the children of America. Pay really close attentions parents, because the next child being indoctrinated might just be yours. Why do many liberal educators so hate the freedoms provided in the US Constitution? Maybe some one should have stood up and told the teacher that, “FREEDOM IS NEVER FREE”!

Aaron Harvey, a Florida dad who’s 4th grade son attends the Cedar Hills Elementary in Jacksonville is furious because of a writing assignment given to his son and rightfully so. As reports at Yahoo News,  a local attorney came in to teach the students about the Bill of Rights. in January; however, after the attorney left, the fourth-grade teacher Cheryl Sabb dictated the following sentence to part of the class and had them copy it down … “I Am Willing to Give Up Some of My Constitutional Rights … to Be Safer”. Really, why would a teacher pick giving up individual’s rights provided in the ‘Bill of Rights’to be the lesson of the day? Can you say liberal indoctrination? The question that needs to be answered is why should any of “WE THE PEOPLE” have to give up any of our Constitutional rights to be safer? But of course a 4th grader would never respond in that manner, thus the reason why a teacher would attempt to indoctrinate them at that age. At some point it needs to be made a criminal offense for teachers to bring their politics into the classroom. That would put an end to this nonsense.

The words are written in crayon, in the haphazard bumpiness of a child’s scrawl.

“I am willing to give up some of my constitutional rights in order to be safer or more secure.”

They’re the words that Florida father Aaron Harvey was stunned to find his fourth-grade son had written, after a lesson in school about the Constitution.

Aaron Harvey’s son wrote as part of a school lesson, “I am willing to give up some of my constitutional rights in order to be safer or more secure.” TheBlaze has redacted the child’s name.

Harvey’s son attends Cedar Hills Elementary in Jacksonville, Fla. Back in January, a local attorney came in to teach the students about the Bill of Rights. But after the attorney left, fourth-grade teacher Cheryl Sabb dictated the sentence to part of the class and had them copy it down, he said.

The following is rather telling. Kandra Albury, the spokesperson for  Duvall County Public Schools stated that the Cedar Hills principal received many concerns by parents back in January when the lesson was first done and the district/principal was looking into it. The spokesperson made an underhanded reference that Harvey was not one of the concerned parents who complained. Here it is April, 3 months later, and the school district has still not explained themselves. Maybe they will now that they have been outed in the media as the furious father went directly to The Blaze rather than getting the run-around and the story buried by the district.

Kandra Albury, a spokeswoman for Duvall County Public Schools, which includes Cedar Hills, told TheBlaze she didn’t know what prompted Sabb to have students write the sentence.

She said the principal had fielded one parent’s concern about the lesson in January, but it wasn’t Harvey. She said Thursday the district and principal were “checking into” what had happened.

UPDATE I: Florida School District Responds to Child’s ‘Give Up Some of My Constitutional Rights’ Assignment: ‘A Review and Investigation Will Occur’.

The problem is not what the attorney taught in providing civics to the youth. At issue is the liberal teacher who wants children to start thinking about what rights they would give up to so-called be safer.

The lesson taught by the attorney was part of Justice Teaching, a program started by former Florida Supreme Court Chief Justice R. Fred Lewis that puts legal professionals in Florida schools to teach about the American legal system and the Constitution.

“The Justice Teaching activity on constitutional rights that was conducted at Cedar Hills Elementary School is consistent with our efforts to broaden civics-based education and develop critical thinking skills among our students,” Dr. Nikolai P. Vitti, superintendent of Duval County Public Schools, said in a statement to TheBlaze. “The lesson builds awareness of First Amendment rights through a partnership with an association of local attorneys. Our possible concern rests with a follow-up activity that may have been conducted after the lesson. A review and investigation will occur to determine the facts of that assignment.”
