Hollywood Lefty Ashley Judd Meets With Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee as She Contemplates Senate Run In Kentucky Against Mitch McConnell

Hollywood actress Ashley Judd met with Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee as she contemplates whether she will do a US Senate run against incumbent Republican and Senate Minority leader Mitch McConnell. Wow, just what the Senate needs, another out of touch, self absorbed, egomaniac. So what exactly is Judd’s qualification to be Senator, her role in ‘Simon Birch’ or ‘Double Jeopardy’? Seriously, other than her celebrity for being an actress, what does she bring to the table? Then again, Barack Obama has shown as that absolute failure gets one reelected. I realize that Democrats think that all the states in the South are the same, but by the way, doesn’t she live in Tennessee?

Actress Ashley Judd privately met with officials at the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee in Washington earlier this week, as she continues to weigh whether to mount a Senate run against Kentucky Sen. Mitch McConnell, according to two sources familiar with the session.

According to one person familiar with the matter, Tuesday’s meeting was Judd’s first formal one with officials at the DSCC, which coordinates strategy, recruits and fundraises on behalf of Democratic Senate candidates. DSCC officials refused to comment, saying they would not discuss candidate recruitment.

The meeting indicates that the Hollywood movie star and eighth-generation Kentuckian is still seriously weighing a political foray after spending the past several years as an outspoken environmental and liberal activist.

In my personal opinion, Ashley Judd is far too liberal for the politics of Kentucky. If anything, she would galvanize the GOP and Conservatives against her and the Democrats in a midterm election. So by all mean Ashley, run.

Turn About is Fair Play in Politics … Bill by Missouri Republican Mike Leara Makes It a Felony to Propose Gun Control Legislation, In Direct Oppostion to Democrat Gun Confiscation Bill

File this one under, anything you can do, we can do better …

A bill put forth by  Missouri Republican Mike Leara will make it a felony for any politician to propose gun control legislation. House Bill No. 633 reads, ”Any member of the general assembly who proposes a piece of legislation that further restricts the right of an individual to bear arms, as set forth under the second amendment of the Constitution of the United States, shall be guilty of a class D felony.” Go gotta love it. The bill introduced by Leara is in direct opposition to an alarming, anti-Second Amendment Democrat bill introduced earlier that would call for the confiscation of guns. Leara has made it known that he is under no illusion that the bill will pass. He says he introduced the legislation to make a point after Democrats proposed an alarming gun confiscation bill last week. My personal opinion is neither bill will pass, the earlier “gun confiscation” bill introduced by Democrats was just more Moonbattery and liberal Democrats pandering to the Left. The bill offered by the Missouri Republican was simply to shine the light on the gun confiscation ways of the Democrats. Guess what, it worked!

Responding to a Democratic proposal giving gun owners in Missouri 90 days to turn in rifles, pistols and shotguns deemed to be “assault weapons,” state Rep. Mike Leara (R-St. Louis) introduced a measure on Monday that would make it a felony to propose legislation that further erodes the Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms.

Of course the LEFT have lost their minds on the mere suggestion of such a bill. However, they seem to have little issue with the confiscation of guns which is a protected right under the Second Amendment of the US Constitution.  The LEFT goes into full legal precedent mode trying to explain why this is Unconstitutional. Folks, it was just to counteract your Leftist’s politicians joke of a bill. The Gateway Pundit has been following the Democrats anti-American gun confiscation bill from the outset. Another reason why the Left is losing their collective minds.

It is about time some one in the GOP has called the hand of the LEFT and their ultimate goal of gun confiscation.

Body of Missing 21 Year Old Canadian Tourist Elisa Lam Found in LA Hotel Water Tank

The sad conclusion of the search for missing Elisa Lam.

Police have identified the body found  in a water tank on the roof of a downtown Los Angeles hotel is that of missing 21-year-old Elisa Lam, a resident of Vancouver, British Columbia. Lam traveled to California by herself on January 27, 2013 and was last seen by workers at the Cecil Hotel on January 31. Police have yet to say whether Lam’s death was the result of foul play or a bizarre accident. The body was found by hotel maintenance worker while checking into complaints of poor water pressure.

Police say they have determined that a body found in a water tank on the roof of a downtown Los Angeles hotel is a Canadian tourist who’d been missing for nearly three weeks.

Police spokeswoman Officer Diana Figueroa said Tuesday night that investigators used body markings to identify 21-year-old Elisa Lam, a resident of Vancouver, British Columbia who traveled to California alone and was last seen at the hotel on Jan. 31.

Earlier Tuesday a hotel maintenance worker found the body while looking into complaints of poor water pressure.

Accident or foul play? According to accounts the roof had been previously searched. Although the water tanks are not locked, access to “the roof is secured with an alarm, and a lock, and a key to the door access. Hmm? So who had the key and clearance to this door and was the alarm working properly?

The LAPD told CBC News that the rooftop had previously been searched, though it’s unclear if the water tanks had been checked. There is no security camera on the roof.

LAPD Sgt. Rudy Lopez said anyone could have opened the tanks, but access to “the roof is secured with an alarm, and a lock, and a key to the door access.”

Joe Biden Says, “You Don’t Need 30 Rounds to Protect Yourself. Buy a Shotgun” … Big Talk from a Man Protected by the Secret Service

Military-style  weapons and high capacity gun magazines for me, not for thee …

In an interview with Parents Magazine, Vice President Joe Biden continued on the Obama WH’s assault on the Second Amendment and “We the People’s right to bear arms by saying, “If you want to protect yourself, get a double-barrel shotgun.” Biden then went on to say that people assault-style weapons and they don’t need 30 rounds to protect yourself. Biden proposed that people buy shotguns. Really Joe, I believe there are also shot guns on the Feinstein ban list as well. Of course this is rather big talk from a man who has numerous Secret Service agents protecting him and his family with guess what … automatic weapons.

Vice President Joe Biden said people don’t need high-capacity weapons to protect themselves and that the Obama administration’s efforts to reduce gun violence amount to gun safety, not gun control.

“If you want to protect yourself, get a double-barrel shotgun,” Mr. Biden said Tuesday in an interview with Parents Magazine. The White House has proposed banning certain high-capacity weapons and Mr. Biden, who says he has two shotguns, said most military-style weapons aren’t good for home defense.

“You don’t need an AR-15,” Mr. Biden said, referring to an assault-style rifle. “It’s harder to aim, it’s harder to use, and in fact, you don’t need 30 rounds to protect yourself. Buy a shotgun. Buy a shotgun.”

The video above was from a Facebook town hall where once again Biden made some rather peculiar and bizarre comments of advice he gave his wife with regards to protecting herself. So let’s get this correct, Biden thinks its responsible to fire buckshot into the air outside indiscriminately, rather than properly aiming a rifle at an intruder? Really? Newsflash to Joe, there is this thing called gravity and bullets fired into the air come down.

“If there’s ever a problem,” Biden said he told his wife Jill, “just walk out on the balcony here–walk out, put that double barrel shot gun and fire two blasts outside the house — I promise you whoever is coming in … You don’t need an AR-15, it’s harder to aim, it’s harder to use…Buy a shotgun! Buy a shotgun!”

I guess Joe Biden missed the story about the folks in Michigan who did need an assault-style weapon and 30 rounds to protect themselves from would be robbers with hand guns.

Freedom’s Light House nails it, “What Joe is neglecting, of course, is that the U.S. Constitution does not say citizens can only own ‘shotguns,’ nor is it any of his business what kind of legal firearm individual citizens own to defend themselves.” But what would one expect from a White House who believes in telling you how to live, what you can eat, what type of insurance you must have and what kind of energy you can use. America, this is the government that you Founding Fathers warned you against.
