After a one week hostage standoff, authorities stormed the bunker and rescued 5 year old Ethan who had been taken hostage by Jimmy Lee Dykes. The FFBI stated that  negotiations had deteriorated with in the final 24 hours. The 65 year old Dykes was killed in the assault. Police felt that the boy of in imminent danger as to the reason why they finally took action and took out the abductor. Dykes had taken the 5 year old boy hostage and retreated to the underground bunker after he had killed a school bus driver. Authorities are not saying how they took out Dykes, but it is obvious that they had eyes on him through some type of fiber optic video camera watching the abductors every movement. The boy’s kidnapper is dead, but officials offered no details on the raid that freed the boy — identified only by his first name, Ethan — and left his abductor fatally shot.

FBI Special Agent in Charge Steve Richardson visited Ethan at a hospital, where he was in a private area with heavy security.

“He is doing fine,” Richardson told reporters at a late-night news conference. “He’s laughing, joking, playing, eating.”

Florence High School Student Suspended Over Picture of Gun on His School Issued Lap Top Background

So this is what the brilliance of schools and guns have come to in the United States? A high school student was suspended for having a picture of an AK-47 and a flag as his back ground on a school issued lap top. A picture?  The school said it has a policy of “sending or displaying offensive messages or pictures,” and cannot access, send, create or forward pictures that are considered “harassing, threatening, or illegal.” Um, how is a picture as a background on a pc threatening or harassing? It is on his lap top, not being sent to anyone. This is the stupidity that we deal with in schools today. This is what some one gets suspended for?

A high school student in Florence said he has been suspended because of a picture of a gun.

Daniel McClaine Jr., a freshman at Poston Butte High School, said he saved the picture as his desktop background on his school-issued computer.

A teacher noticed it and turned him in.

The picture shows an AK-47 on top of a flag.

McClaine said the school initially suspended him for three days Friday.

Since the laptop belongs to the school, the district policy states students are prohibited from “sending or displaying offensive messages or pictures,” and cannot access, send, create or forward pictures that are considered “harassing, threatening, or illegal.”

So Much for Anyone Taking WH Seriously about Photo-Shopping Obama’s Gun Pic … Internet Mocks Obama with Great Twitter Caption Contest

Did Barack Obama really think that Americans were not going to use their First Amendment rights of ‘Freedom of Speech’ when it came to his self-serving and ridiculous gun shooting photo? What was worse than Obama releasing this pic was the threat that was made that accompanied the photo. Just a note to Obama, as much as you think you are a dictator and this is a Communist state, it is not.

No sooner was the picture released by the White House of President Barack Obama looking as awkward as one could shooting a gun and the treat to the American people not to photo-shop the picture than guess what … THEY DID! Over at Twitchy that have some of the best Obama gun pics and a caption contest for the ages. Yes Mr. President, America is mocking you and the idea that you actually think that releases a picture of you shooting a gun in mom jeans means you are a gun advocate and care about the Second Amendment. One of the best pics might be of the one where Obama is shooting the US Constitution.  Or the pic of Obama shooting at the Bin Laden compound, another good one. No wonder he wanted to spike the football following Bin Laden’s death, Obama was really there. Although one of my favorites might just be this one HERE, where a bang flag comes out of the end of the gun barrel ala ‘Looney Tunes’ with the caption, “where is the earth shattering kaboom”.

More from Twitter that shows Obama is just like us.

Two points here. One, who honesty thinks that Obama is a friend of guns, skeet shooting and hunting because he released this idiotic picture of himself firing a gun? This was nothing more than a photo-op he did at one point during his presidency to use at a later date for his self-serving purposes. American has every right to mock Obama.

Two, this is just a reminder to Barack Obama. The Second Amendment provides Americans with the right to bear arms, not the right to shoot skeet or a right to hunt. The Second Amendment was put in place to make sure the rest of the Bill of Rights to the US Constitution would not be trampled by a tyrannical government. But what else could we expect from an Obama presidency who takes more time to make threats against its citizens expressing their freedom of speech than he does in going after terrorists who killed four Americans in Benghazi?
