It would appear it is finally time to pay the piper for Tawana Brawley …

After 25 years, the woman who  perpetrated one of the  most vile hoaxes upon the American people has been slapped with a court order to pay up for her crimes. For years  Tawana Brawley had been hiding from her lies and her past living under the assumed name of Tawana Vacenia Thompson Gutierrez in Hopewell, VA.  She was working as a licensed nurse at The Laurels of Bon Air, a nursing home in nearby Richmond. Hmm, how does one become a licensed nurse under an assumed name. I am sure no fraud or HIPAA violations were committed there. I wonder if her pal Al Sharpton will come to her aid? After all, it was the Tawana Brawley false accusation rape charges that fanned the flames of racial tensions in 1987 that brought Sharpton to national prominence. Its hard to believe that it has been 25 years since this rotten episode of deceit, lies, character assassination and slander took place.  Isn’t that something though, an incident of nothing more than lies, race baiting and racist accusations, and fraud is what is behind Sharpton’s fame. I guess that explains why he presently is employed at MSNBC. Only in America.

Infamous hoaxster Tawana Brawley — whose outrageous rape lie 25 years ago inflamed racial tensions nationwide — yesterday was finally slapped with a court order to settle a hefty defamation case against her.

“For at least 25 years, she has been living a major lie,” said former Dutchess County prosecutor Steven Pagones, who was falsely accused of raping Brawley in 1987 and finally tracked her down, thanks to The Post.

“To me, this has always been about responsibility and accountability,’’ added the former ADA, who won the $190,000 defamation lawsuit against Brawley, 40, now a nurse in Virginia, more than a decade ago.

At 9 percent interest, that debt, which Brawley never attempted to pay off, now totals $431,492, according to the wage-garnishment papers filed in Virginia’s Surry County Court.

Yesterday’s job report showed the stunning revelation that the US economy actually shrunk in the 4th quarter of 2012. As reported at CNBC, the economy shrank to a pathetic 0.1% in the 4th qtr. But Obama and his mouth pieces would have you believe that everything is A-O-K. In fact some Dems are prasing this as the greatest contraction of GDP ever. Of course it is, because Obama is president and anything bad is spun as good. Welcome to Obamaland.

The economy shrank from October through December for the first time since the recession ended, hurt by the biggest cut in defense spending in 40 years, fewer exports and sluggish growth in company stockpiles.

The Commerce Department said Wednesday that the economy contracted at an annual rate of 0.1 percent in the fourth quarter. That’s a sharp slowdown from the 3.1 percent growth rate in the July-September quarter.

One individual who has been honest and upfront about President Obama’s disastrous economic policies and the dismal state of affairs in the United States is CNBC’s Rick Santelli. Following the terrible economic report, Santelli stated on CNC’s Squawk Box, “We are now Europe.”

Steve Liesman pushed back, “We reduced federal spending, government spending by 15 percent. Which part of that’s not Europe don’t you get?”

“And why do we need to reduce government spending?” asked Santelli. “Because we run trillion dollar deficits for crying out loud.”

Body Recovered from a New Jersey Canal that Seperates New Hope, PA from Lambertville, NJ Believed to be Missing Sarah Majoras

A body has been recovered from the canal that separates New Hope, PA from Lambertville, NJ. It is believed to be that of missing 39 year old Sarah Mojoras, who has been missing since was last seen at 2 a.m. Saturday crossing the Delaware River on a bridge that separates the two communities. Since her disappearance, divers had been searching the canal and on the fourth day searching the Delaware canal between the Free Bridge connecting the towns of New Hope and Lambertville and Coryell Street, they discovered the body. Authorities are not yet calling this foul play, but “are leaving all possibilities open.”

A body has been recovered from a New Jersey canal and authorities reportedly believe it is that of a missing bartender last seen on Saturday.

Philly.com reports that Sarah Majoras, 39, was last seen at 2 a.m. Saturday crossing the Delaware River on a bridge that links the communities of New Hope, Pa., where Majoras works as a bartender, and Lambertville, N.J., where she lives.

Hunterdon County, N.J., Prosecutor Anthony Kearns said late Wednesday that a body had been recovered from the Delaware & Raritan Canal. He said investigators are still trying “to find out what did occur” Saturday morning sometime after 2 a.m. when Majoras left a bar.

Bus Driver Shot Dead and 6 Year Old Child Held Hostage in Underground Bunker in Midland City, AL (Gunman & Hostage Taker: Jimmy Lee Dykes)

Hostage stand off in Midland City, Alabama continues …

A man in Midland City, AL has fatally shot a school bus driver and has taken a six year old child hostage.  The incident took place on Tuesday at about 3:40 pm CT, and as of Wednesday morning, the man and the 6 year old child are still held up in an underground bunker. A neighbor stated that the suspect had been living in the area for about two years and began building the “bomb shelter” right when he moved in. The police have yet to provide the name of the suspect.

A man fatally shot the driver of a school bus in Alabama and fled with a 6-year-old child passenger, prompting an overnight standoff with police that remained unresolved Wednesday, authorities and reports said.

The Dale County Sheriff told WBMA-TV (http://bit.ly/WthpQh ) that the man shot the driver in Midland City on Tuesday afternoon when he refused to let the child off the bus. The driver later died of his wounds. His identity wasn’t released

The shooter took the child to an area behind a nearby church, and police were negotiating with him for hours, authorities said.

WSFA-TV reported early Wednesday that Alabama State troopers, a SWAT team and FBI agents had converged nearby.

Midland City police would not comment, and a dispatcher at the Dale City Sheriff’s office told The Associated Press early Wednesday that the agency was not releasing any immediate details.

UPDATE I: Suspect named in the Alabama hostage stand off … 65 year old  Jimmy Lee Dykes. It would appear that Dykes has a past of not playing well with others. According to reports, he was scheduled to appear in court on charges stemming from a dispute with neighbors last month.  

The gunman, identified by neighbors as Jimmy Lee Dykes, a 65-year-old retired truck driver, was known around the neighborhood as a menacing figure who once beat a dog to death with a lead pipe, threatened to shoot children for setting foot on his property and patrolled his yard at night with a flashlight and a shotgun.

He had been scheduled to appear in court Wednesday morning to answer charges he shot at his neighbors in a dispute last month over a speed bump.
