Big Thank You to Barack Obama … Walmart Will not Offer Health Insurance to New Employees, Will Shift Them to To Medicaid, Obamacare

Welcome to the Barack Obama economy …

Thanks Barack Obama, this was the ultimate outcome with Obamacare where companies would not provide insurance to their employees. Obama promised that people would not lose their insurance. Guess what, he lied. Wal-Mart announced this week they would end insurance for new hires. What else is a business to do but to look out after their bottom line to remain profitable? What a disaster Barack Obama has perpetrated on the American public. He has created a part-time employment nation. Worse yet, many folks are going to be tossed on Medicaid thanks to Obamacare. And you saps actually thought that you were going to be able to keep your insurance and doctors. I guess there really is a sucker born every minute or in this case 62,615,406 suckers.

Remember when Obama promised that Obamacare would allow you to keep your doctor and insurance plan?

Walmart, the nation’s largest private employer, plans to begin denying health insurance to newly hired employees who work fewer than 30 hours a week, according to a copy of the company’s policy obtained by The Huffington Post.

Under the policy, slated to take effect in January, Walmart also reserves the right to eliminate health care coverage for certain workers if their average workweek dips below 30 hours — something that happens with regularity and at the direction of company managers.

Walmart declined to disclose how many of its roughly 1.4 million U.S. workers are vulnerable to losing medical insurance under its new policy. In an emailed statement, company spokesman David Tovar said Walmart had “made a business decision” not to respond to questions from The Huffington Post and accused the publication of unfair coverage.

Labor and health care experts portrayed Walmart’s decision to exclude workers from its medical plans as an attempt to limit costs while taking advantage of the national health care reform known as Obamacare. Among the key features of Obamacare is an expansion of Medicaid, the taxpayer-financed health insurance program for poor people. Many of the Walmart workers who might be dropped from the company’s health care plans earn so little that they would qualify for the expanded Medicaid program, these experts said.

Too pitiful to even comment. I find the employees at my local Walmart to be kind and courteous.

SM: What did you think was going to happen? Especially when Obama provided a $2000 penalty for a business to no provide insurance but instead to shift over to Obamacare rolls. If Obama had been serious about coverage the fee would have been 10K. This was done to push employees onto govt run healthcare.

Obama lied thru his teeth when he said you can keep your dr’s and insurance. He knew better and if he did not he is a complete incompetent.

SM Sometimes your remarks lend me to believe we are on opposing teams.

“What did I think?” I am one of the several, of the few doing the research and trying to provide interesting, factual links.
Of course, I understand that this was the “plan:”

A group swim in the peed-in pool to create greater misery, health care woes, (as dirty water does),to force a single payer system. ALL BOW DOWN.

Simply, by virtue of being employed by Walmart does not an ignorant democrat make.

SM: I do not think its a matter of being on opposing teams. I believe there is a health care coverage issue and payment issue; however, I think Obamacare is 100% the wrong way to fix it. I have been in the healthcare industry since the 80′s, I have seen it all and been on all sides … health insurance, provider (drs),patient advocate, consultant. I think I know a little about this issue and what Obama has done has accomplished nothing except to raise the debt. Its a sad commentary but it would appear that most Americans are incapable of being responsible and only want everything paid for them. That is an impossible and unsustainable possibility. We only need to look at Medicare for the example and yet somehow Obama wants to create Medicare on steroids.

Government spending is out of control.

It sounds great to promise people everything. The problem is that it is not possible. What happens when the govt comes after the people who make less than $250K? What’s next $100K? How about $50K? I bet the American people would rise up when it directly affected them, wouldn’t they.

Amazing what can be achieved with character and lack of greed.

SM: I believe greed is thing that others money is your own. What would be worse, having a company go under and letting all employees go or adjusting expenses to remain viable.

For all of you that think that others should pay you $’s for things just how much of your own money do you give to charity?

I think you are confused with my post. There was a time when I was younger that co’s and corps. provided for their employees, and it wasn’t all about a select few getting filthy rich. I am citing the CEO of Costco who pays good fair market pay to his employees and medical benefits (incentives). It can be done, it all depends on the degree of greed the owners are willing to compromise. Maybe you weren’t around back than, but this man depicts character!!
