Rep. Allen West’s (R-FL) Wins Legal Challenge to Recount Votes for Florida’s 18th District

The election for the House seat for Florida’s 18th District is not over yet. US Representative Allen West (R-FL) won his legal challengeto continue the recounting  of the votes. West won the court fight to have votes recounted in his Florida congressional race against Democrat Patrick Murphy. The St. Lucie County Supervisor of Elections ordered a retabulation of all eight days of early voting to begin Saturday morning.

Rep. Allen West’s (R-Fla.) campaign is celebrating a circuit court judge’s decision that blocked Democratic challenger Patrick Murphy’s attempt to stop a recount of early votes in St. Lucie County, a major part of Florida’s 18th District.

“Clearly, if the canvassing board has already agreed there were discrepancies and under- or over-counted ballots, it would make no sense to halt the retabulation,” West campaign manager Tim Edson said in a statement late Saturday.

Watch this election in the end fall within the margin of error where all of the votes will have to be recounted by state law.

      UPDATE

Deadline passes in Allen West-Patrick Murphy recount
      Nov 18, 2012

Election officials missed a deadline Sunday to report results of a two-day recount in GOP Rep. Allen West’s race to remain in Congress, apparently sealing unofficial results giving the win to Democrat Patrick Murphy.

St. Lucie County did not meet a noon cutoff to finish processing 37,379 ballots cast early in the District 18 congressional election. Under Florida law, previously submitted results favoring Murphy will be certified unless an emergency exemption is granted by the state.

“They did this recount because they weren’t confident in the outcome,” said West campaign manager Tim Edson. “Now, because they missed the deadline, we’re not going to know whether they were right in their concern or not.”

Edson said the incumbent’s campaign was looking at what could be done to possibly extend the deadline and suggested the fight was not yet over.

This is just more Democrat/socialist vote stealing. The Governor needs to step in and impound the ballots in all blue counties and require the AG to have the votes counted under guard from the state police.

Angry West supporters loudly chanted “Count our votes!” as they awaited an explanation from county officials.

Allen west is no longer relevant. He lost.
The more he fights it the more ridiculous he seems.
He needs those actual results “unskewed” to win

just like Herman Cain, Dick Morris and Sarah Palin

I’m not sure any of the above people ever were relevant except in their own minds.
