Two police officers dead while searching for missing 9 year old boy … Rest in Peace.
TRAGEDY … Two police officers have died in a helicopter crash in Atlanta, GA. They were searching for a missing 9 year old boy when their low flying helicopter crashed. What a sad event, two of Atlanta’s finest trying to find a missing boy and dying in the process. As reported at the AJC, te fiery crash happened near the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr. and Hamilton E. Holmes drives, near I-20.
A police helicopter flying low over Atlanta on a nighttime search for a missing 9-year-old boy plunged to the ground in a northwest city neighborhood of shops, stores and apartments, instantly killing the two officers aboard, authorities said Sunday.
Both officers died on impact in the crash about 10:30 p.m. Saturday and no one was hurt on the ground, police spokesman Carlos Campos said. The crash occurred in an Atlanta district close to busy Interstate 20, a light rail commuter station and a mixed area of fast food restaurants, shopping plazas and apartments where utility lines bristle overhead.
The missing 9 year old child was later found safe.

This is such a tragedy. Still, I would like to know what happened to the 9 year old to cause this? Was he a runaway or was he abducted?
