Venezuelan Socialist President Hugo Chavez Says He Would Vote for Barack Hussein Obama in the 2012 Presidential Election

File this one under, birds of a feather flock together and water seeks its on level …

Here is a ringing endorsement that undecided and Independent voters should take notice of when casting a ballot this November for President. The socialist leader of Venezuelan, Hugo Chavez, stated that if he was an American, he’d vote for Barack Obama.  With the ‘big” government, Nanny state, cradle to grave dependency agenda of Barack Obama, is it any reason why a socialist would vote for Obama.

“If I were American, I’d vote for Obama,” Chavez said in a televised interview that aired Sunday.

The Venezuelan leader called Obama “a good guy” and said if the U.S. president were a Venezuelan, “I think … he’d vote for Chavez.”

Check out this comment from Chavez viaReuters.

“Obama is a good guy … I think that if Obama was from Barlovento or some Caracas neighborhood, he’d vote for Chavez,” the president told state TV, referring to a poor coastal town known for the African roots of its population.

[...]

“After our triumph and the supposed, probable triumph of President Obama, with the extreme right defeated here and there, I hope we could start a new period of normal relations with the United States,” he said.

“Obama recently said something very rational and fair … that Venezuela is no threat to the interests of the United States,” he added.

Washington Post Confirms Security was Lax before Benghazi Attack, State Dept Did Nothing to Address Issues

As reported at the WAPO, security was woefully nonexistent prior to the attacks at Benghazi. How could that possibly be in a region rife with terrorism and on the anniversary of 9-11? The Post confirms, that the State Department never took those security concerns seriously even with the many indicators that would have shown there more security was required. The result, Ambassador Stevens dead and three others. The Obama Administration has a lot of explaining.

On the eve of his death, U.S. Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens was ebullient as he returned for the first time in his new role to Benghazi, the eastern Libyan city that embraced him as a savior during last year’s civil war. He moved around the coastal town in an armored vehicle and held a marathon of meetings, his handful of bodyguards trailing discreetly behind.

But as Stevens met with Benghazi civic leaders, U.S. officials appear to have underestimated the threat facing both the ambassador and other Americans. They had not reinforced the U.S. diplomatic outpost there to meet strict safety standards for government buildings overseas. Nor had they posted a U.S. Marine detachment, as at other diplomatic sites in high-threat regions.

A U.S. military team assigned to establish security at the new embassy in Tripoli, in a previously undisclosed detail, was never instructed to fortify the temporary hub in the east. Instead, a small local guard force was hired by a British private security firm as part of a contract worth less than half of what it costs to deploy a single U.S. service member in a war zone for a year.

The two U.S. compounds where Stevens and three other Americans were killed in a sustained, brutal attack the night of Sept. 11, proved to be strikingly vulnerable targets in an era of barricaded embassies and multibillion-dollar security contracts for U.S. diplomatic facilities in conflict zones, according to interviews with U.S. and Libyan officials and eyewitnesses in recent days.

Hot Air has much, much more on this tragedy that appears could have been adverted, if the situation had been taken more serious.

CNN’s “State of the Union: John McCain calls Obama, “Inept” and “Ignorant” in Reaction & Response to Libya Attack & Murders

Well, if the ineptness and ignorance fits, where it …

This morning on CNN’s ‘State of the Union” Senator John McCain (AZ-R) called President Barack Obama “inept” and “ignorant” in his handling of the response in handling the recent attacks and murders in Libya. As reported at The Hill, McCain called the Obama Administrations response after attack on the Benghazi Consulate and the death of four Americans political spin and it did not pass the smell test. However, isn’t this par for the course for Obama? The Obama administration found it so hard to call the underwear bomber or the Time Square bomber, instead it was a one off. They found it difficult to call the Ft. Hood shooting terrorism, instead that was work place violence.

The Arizona Republican said the administration’s initial claim that an anti-Muslim video incited the attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi was political spin that “doesn’t pass the smell test.”

“It was either willful ignorance or dismal intelligence to think that people come to spontaneous demonstrations with heavy weapons, mortars, and the attack goes on for hours,” McCain said Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union” program.

“To blame it on the video … shows the absolute ineptitude and ignorance of the realities,” McCain added. “It’s not the videos, it’s the radical Islamists [who] are pushing the videos.”

McCain said the White House was initially reluctant to label the attack a planned act of terrorism for fear of exposing the level of turmoil in the Middle East, a region he characterized as “unraveling” under Obama’s watch.

GOP VP Candidate Paul Ryan Comments on Media Bias …“As a Conservative I’ve Long Believed There’s Inherent Media Bias”

MEDIA BIAS, SAY IT ISN’T SO …

This morning on FOX News Sunday with Chris Wallace, GOP Vice Presidential candidate Paul Ryan was asked about media bias and whether the MSM was carrying the water for President Barack Obama? I almost expected Ryan to answer by giving a response like, YA THINK, I thought they were part of the Reelect Obama team? Instead, Ryan responded by saying, “As a conservative I’ve long believed there’s inherent media bias”.

“I think it goes without saying that there is definitely media bias. Look I am a Conservative, I am used to media Bias, we expected media bias … As a conservative I’ve long believed there’s inherent media bias. And I think anyone with objectivity would believe that is the case today.” … I think most people in the MSM are left of center and therefore want a very left of center President versus a Conservative President like Mitt Romney.”

Chris Wallace had asked for examples of media bias. Ryan should have said there is not enough time on your show or in the day to provide such details.

Dana Pretzer had a commentary this past week on the “Unprecedented Media Bias” .

Two-dozen conservative activists and media personalities on Tuesday urged members of their respective groups to switch off the “biased news media,” claiming in an open letter that establishment media are “out of control with a deliberate and unmistakable leftist agenda.”

Conservative leaders claim unprecedented media bias this election cycle.

Though these groups frequently complain about a left-leaning media bias, they claimed in the letter that the political slant this cycle is unprecedented.

“In the quarter century since the Media Research Center was established to document liberal media bias, there has never been a more brazen and complete attempt by the liberal so-called ‘news’ media to decide the outcome of an election,” wrote Brent Bozell, president of the Media Research Center, and other conservative leaders.

From WSMV, The TBI have issued a statewide Amber Alert after 9-year-old Chloie Leverette and her half-brother, 7-year-old Gage Daniel were not found after investigators sifted through the ashes.

Authorities said they don’t believe 9-year-old Chloie Leverette and her half-brother, 7-year-old Gage Daniel, died in a fire that incinerated their home Sunday night, but there is also no indication where or when they could have gone.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation issued an Amber Alert for the children Friday evening after previously issuing an endangered child alert on Wednesday.

Crews spent five days sifting through ashes by hand at the burned home of the children’s step-grandparents, Leon McClaran, 72, and 70-year-old Molly McClaran, who died in the fire.

The TBI said they’re working on a lot of leads in the case, but that has not yielded any results. All of the interviews they’ve conducted indicate the two missing children were actually in the house at the time of the fire.

But, state bomb and arson investigators had said Wednesday that the children were not victims of the fire and their whereabouts remain unknown at this time.

Descriptions:

Chloie is described as a white female, approximately 4’8″ and 75 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes. Gage is described as a white male, approximately 4′ and 75 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes.

If you have any information concerning the current whereabouts of Chloie and Gage, please contact the TBI at 1-800-TBI-FIND.

UPDATE I: Christopher Daniel, Gage’s father says he thinks the two children did not die in the fire.

“I don’t know what to think. I don’t know what to think,” Christopher Daniel, Gage’s father, told The Associated Press Saturday. “They don’t think that they burned up in the fire, the way I took it they don’t.”

UPDATE II: Anthropologists from the University of Tennessee and Middle Tennessee State University have been brought in to assist Investigation.

Anthropologists from the University of Tennessee and Middle Tennessee State University have been brought in to assist State Bomb and Arson investigators as well as the Bedford County Sheriff’s Office and the TBI.

The siblings were last seen by a neighbor around 6:30 p.m. Sunday night near their home. Investigators said the fire started three hours later.

NewsChannel 5 learned Chloie showed up for school last Friday, but Gage did not.

TBI officials also said they have questioned the children’s mother, and they believe she doesn’t have the children or know where they are.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol flew over the area Wednesday with a helicopter using infrared cameras to search for the bodies. Investigators used cadaver dogs to search the home Tuesday.

The fire was very intense and quickly collapsed the walls of the house. Firefighters spent several hours battling the flames overnight Sunday and early Monday, but they were hindered because the house sat far back from the road and was not near a hydrant.
