Everyone is Speculating Who Is Thursday’s Mystery RNC Speaker? … Sarah Palin, Nancy Reagan?

The media is a buzz as to who Thursday’s mystery speaker at the Republican National Convention might be. Some say Sarah Palin, General David Petraeus or maybe Nancy Reagan. How about VP Ryan’s mom Betty? Could there be a Ron Paul sighting? That would be kind of awesome to have Nancy appear and use her famous line from the 1980′s … Just Say No to Obama.

Republican convention planners appear to have a surprise planned for those tuning in Thursday night.

Buried deep in the convention schedule released Monday is a vague reference to a mystery speaker scheduled for the event’s final evening. “To Be Announced” has a prime speaking slot late in the Thursday program.

Who do you think it might be?

Palin and other Tea-partiers are unlikely….Too many “undecided voters” are going to tune in for the last night (myself included) and they wouldn’t risk a polarizing figure.

Ron Paul…maybe. My first thought was Condi Rice but I see she is speaking earlier.

So I am going with a completely baseless hunch. My guess is Stormin’ Norman Schwarzkopf; He is a pretty good speaker, gives military street cred, and was widely “loved” during the Gulf War, and happens to live in Tampa.

I well-liked military commander, not associated with Bush/Obama wars, and a solid track record of backing GOP candidates.

#2, HAHAHA, they would be priceless. Sad part about it is I could see it happening. Maybe that’s why Obama locked uncle Joe in the attic?

Maybe BO’s half brother George Obama!

#1, I like Stormin’ Norman Schwarzkopf. Nice choice. #2, Biden, now that’s funny. #3, George Obama … OUCH!

I have been thinking a lot about this as its Thursday night speech, it cant be a flame thrower was this will the the GOP’s night for positive future.

Do they go nostalgic, does the GOP go for the FL personality, say ex-Florida St coach Bobby Bowden? Do they go with Nancy Reagan? What ever it is, at this point it needs to be a show-stopper.

If it were my decision, I would go with a holographic image of the late, great Ronald Reagan splicing his speeches and words together … it would bring down the house.

Reagan Government is not the solution to our problem government IS the problem

      ALLEN WEST?

Rep. West: Democrats are most racist party ever
      Posted on Wednesday, 08.29.12

Congressman Allen West told a group of black Republicans gathered for the party’s national convention Wednesday that Democrats are racist and the media doesn’t call them on it.

West said Democrats have gotten away with attacking black conservatives. He then turned to the two reporters covering the event and said he had a challenge for them.

“Tell the story. You guys allow the other side to attack black conservatives, and you don’t call them out,” West said. “That’s the most racist party I’ve ever seen in my life and you don’t call them out.”

      ALLEN WEST?

Allen West brings rhetorical firepower to convention — just not on main stage
      Posted: 7:49 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2012

A tea party celebrity and frequent guest on Fox News and other cable channels, West is a hero to Republicans who have come here for the Republican National Convention.

“I watched him on Fox News and I said, ‘This man is impressive,’ ” said Mark Schonbrun of Tampa at a Republican Jewish Coalition reception. “I got so excited to see that he was here. It was very wonderful.”

When West arrived at the Crowne Plaza Hotel for the reception, he was barely able to step out of the SUV he was riding in before Rabbi Shmuel Reich of Clearwater hugged him and declared: “You’re a hero to many people. You’re a righteous man.”

Earlier in the day, West spoke about energy policy at a forum organized by Newt Gingrich, who called West “an emerging star in the House among Republicans.”

Despite being one of the most recognizable Republicans in Congress and the deliverer of a 2011 keynote speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference, West was not asked to speak at this week’s convention.

      ALLEN WEST?

Allen West to Glenn Beck: I Would Accept a Defense Dept. Position if Offered One
      Posted on August 13, 2012

When asked if he would consider taking a Defense Department post if one were offered, West didn’t hesitate, stating that he would be a willing and helpful resource on national security. He added, “for me, that [DoD position] is the only job worth having in Washington, D.C.”

West explained that the privilege of “taking care of men and women in uniform” would be “a true honor and [one] I would unequivocally say ‘yes’ to.”

Allen West suggests ‘wounded warrior’ for GOP mystery speaker [VIDEO]
      Published: 2:49 PM 08/30/2012

TAMPA, Fla. — Florida Republican Rep. Allen West told The Daily Caller that he is not the “mystery speaker” at the Republican National Convention tonight but said he would like to see a “wounded warrior” or “regular American” on the stage.

“Let me put on my amazing carnac hat — it ain’t me, that’s all I can tell you. It’s not me. I’m just happy to be here and I’m sure whoever that mystery speaker is, they’ll do a bang-up job,” West told TheDC at the GOP Convention on Friday.

“I think it would be great if we just got a regular American that stood up there and talked about what the American dream is, what American exceptionalism is. I think too often we try to glorify big names and what have you. Just get Joe and Jane six pack up there, get a wounded warrior up there. Someone that represents the greatest of the values that this country stands upon.”
