Even Newsweek Calls Barack Obama for What He Is, an Epic Failure … Hit the Road Barack: “It is whether the winner has delivered on his promises. And the sad truth is that he has not.”
Hmm, even the liberal media seems to have had enough and is cutting their losses to save their credibility.
Newsweek’s latest cover … ‘Hit the Road Barack, Why We Need a New President’. Ouch, that is going to leave a mark.First it was the Boston Globe the other name demanding a Biden apology and now this. Is the media actually going to hold Obama’s feet to the fire when it comes to Obama’s promises? I doubt that will occur; however, it is amazing that any liberal publication would allow something like this on the cover of their magazine. As stated at the PJ Tatler, could this be the tip of the iceberg, “His analysis of the Obama presidency is so thorough and devastating it cannot be completely ignored by the mainstream media, no matter how much they may wish to”.
Despite having been—full disclosure—an adviser to John McCain, I acknowledged his opponent’s remarkable qualities: his soaring oratory, his cool, hard-to-ruffle temperament, and his near faultless campaign organization.
Yet the question confronting the country nearly four years later is not who was the better candidate four years ago. It is whether the winner has delivered on his promises. And the sad truth is that he has not.
In his inaugural address, Obama promised “not only to create new jobs, but to lay a new foundation for growth.” He promised to “build the roads and bridges, the electric grids, and digital lines that feed our commerce and bind us together.” He promised to “restore science to its rightful place and wield technology’s wonders to raise health care’s quality and lower its cost.” And he promised to “transform our schools and colleges and universities to meet the demands of a new age.” Unfortunately the president’s scorecard on every single one of those bold pledges is pitiful.
Any honest individual who does not have an Obama drink of Kool-Aid in fron of them knows that Obama and his polices have been a failure and America and Americans have suffered from them. Unemployment has been over 8% for 42 consecutive months, a record number of people are on Food Stamps, government spending is through the roof and we have record debt. The Middle East is a tinder box ready to explode at any second as gas prices are heading over $4 a gallon, Medicare and Social Security are on their way to insolvency and what is Barack Obama concerned about … Romney’s taxes.
NewsBusters asks the important question, why does a liberal mag like Newsweek headed by Tina Brown & the Daily Beast?
So why with less than three months to go before Election Day would they publish a 3,200-word cover story severely criticizing Obama whilst basically endorsing his opponent?
Could it be the Daily Beast/Newsweek combination has not been attracting the kind of readership they expected, and they believe a little objectivity was in order?
Or is this just a tiny dose of conservatism before a deluge of the most biased Obama-loving/Romney-bashing imaginable?
So will other liberal outlets jump on board and reports Obama’s first term as the failure that it truly is? We shall see. It is a tipping point for the old media and liberal outlets, are they willing to continue to shill for Obama or report in a credible manner and save their industry?

Many liberals have finally come to the realization that a Marist deceptively ran as a Democrat in the 2008 elections. In other words … the far left ideology embraced by Barack Obama extends beyond liberalism. Freedom loving Americans … right and left … are coming together in 2012 to assure that this current president is not given another four years to destroy the Republic.

Niall Ferguson: Obama’s Gotta Go
Aug 19, 2012 1:00 AM EDT
Welcome to Obama’s America: nearly half the population is not represented on a taxable return—almost exactly the same proportion that lives in a household where at least one member receives some type of government benefit. We are becoming the 50–50 nation—half of us paying the taxes, the other half receiving the benefits.

What took them so long?
I actually thought this was a photoshop or from the Onion. Guess Newsweek wants to sell a few more magazines.
There is quite a bit of push-back (goo.gl/0go4g) on this article, including how the ACA data from the CBO was misleadingly and selectively edited to make a case that the CBO actually wasn’t itself making. Seems like he is more subjective than objective in his article, incorporating spin as newsworthy information.

SM: LOL … so much for the media being allowed freedom of speech. Of course Obama has been an EPIC FAILURE. Most Americans don;t need a Newsweek cover to understand it. They just have to look around them, look at their own situation, their friends, etc. Out of control debt, +8 unemployment and rising, millions of unemployed and even more underemployed workers, the Middle East is about to explode, Iran-israel on the verge of war, people are not better off today than they were 4 years ago and all Obama’s got is hate, division and fanning the flame.
Really … Obama is an EPIC FAILURE. That is a no brainer.

Freedom of speech doesn’t give one immunity from being called out for what you say; critics have freedom of speech as well, to respond to biased data and selectively editing.
As my comments demonstrate, I’m not trying to and haven’t taken a position on Obama. My point is that Ferguson wrote a story that was poorly crafted and biased with partial data in a biased manner. As for Newsweek, it has admitted that it did not fact-check Ferguson’s article.
Independent of personal opinion, this article and its publication are not proper journalism, and the public deserves a better process.

SM: Then your perspective and opinion of the Newsweek piece can be compared to one of the 1000′s that the liberal MSM Obama/Democrat news complex write and broadcast every day. I find it beyond comical and disingenuous that you attack this article that dare call the Obamamessiah an EPIC FAILURE. Guess what … he is.
Bias … is it bias that the economy sucks? No one can get a job because of Obama’s anti- business agenda?
All there is in the media is liberal media bias and you go nuts over one article by a liberal media outlet in Newsweek. HAHAHA. Too funny.

To be interested in other daily news stories as mentioned is just not on my radar. This story seemed to be all about the Newsweek story, and I kept to that topic in my comments.
Based on my use of the word, I never “attacked” the article, although linked stories did take issue with it. Your definition of “go nuts” might differ from mine, as I don’t see my comments in that vein.
