Obama’s Spinal Tap Moment, “Their appeal is becoming more selective” … Obama Campaign Remarks on Small Crowds: ‘We are intentionally limiting crowd size at rallies”

THIS IS SPINAL TAP BARACK OBAMA’S REELECTION … Other wise now known as THIS IS “SPIN”AL TAP …

Barack Obama, truly Lost in Smallness … What a difference four years makes, from huge, standing room only crowds to well, not. However, the spin-misters at the Obama Campaign have an explanation to the woeful small and pitiful crowd, ‘We are intentionally limiting crowd size at rallies.” Of course it has nothing to do with the enthusiasm gap where the GOP base is more jazzed that the Democrats.

However, President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden are not drawing the crowds they once could. The New York Times reported that the Obama campaign said that it is intentionally limiting crowd size at their events because of security and cost:

“We have plenty of time for big rallies,” a campaign spokeswoman, Jen Psaki, said between the rallies on Thursday.      “Our focus right now is on exciting our supporters and winning over undecided voters and the smaller and medium-size events are the best venue to accomplish that because the president can closely engage with the crowd.”

Big rallies are expensive, especially given the logistical and security challenges for a president as opposed to a mere United States senator. And Obama campaign operatives, both at the Chicago headquarters and in swing states where Mr. Obama recently has stumped, say the campaign intentionally limits crowds by restricting tickets. The reason is to allow the president to better connect with supporters, aides say.

Who would have thought that Team Obama would have used a slit from the movie, ‘This is Spinal Tap’? Then again, the film maker was a huge lib, Rob Reiner. However, did they realize the movie was a parody? It would seem that Team Obama has used the line,  “their appeal is becoming more selective” to describe the waning crowd sizes at Obama and Biden political events?

Marty DeBergi (rockumentary director): The last time Tap toured America, they where, uh, booked into
10,000 seat arenas, and 15,000 seat venues, and it seems that now,
on their  current tour they’re being booked into 1,200 seat
arenas, 1,500 seat arenas, and uh I was just wondering,
does this mean uh…the popularity of the group is waning?

Ian Faith (Spinal Tap maganer):   Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no…no, no, not at all. I, I, I just think
that the.. uh.. their appeal is becoming more selective.

Who cannot see the obvious comparison and just laughing themselves silly? Purposely and intentionally limiting the size of the rallies to save money. What type of fools do they have this time in 2012 at Team Obama? As the Lonely Conservative aptly states, since when did Obama ever care about saving money? All one needs to do is take a look at out national debt to understand that falsehood.

Gone is the “Hope & Change” idealistic, fresh and edgy and  imagery of Obama changing the way Washington does business. Hello to the real Obama “Rope & Chains”, Chicago-style, hateful, lying, in the gutter politics. It has caused many on the Right to be more than a little giddy to see the Obama campaign implode before our very eyes. If Team Obama cannot get their base out in November, this election will not be as close as many pundits are calling it.

Obama is no longer “fresh” or “edgy”.  He is yesterday’s news and all those chumps who were once enamored by the new kid are now broke and unemployed.  Their houses are sitting in foreclosure and they can’t afford gas for their tanks.  They’ve had a group epiphany, “it really was just words”.

Yep, they’re staying away-in droves.  Nobody wants a sign hanging around their neck that says “I’m with the Loser”.  A wise and dear man once said it best, “He sucks.”  Yes, yes he does.  And with all due apologies to Instapundit, I’m felling more than a bit cocky.

As reported by Doug Ross, the actual level of support for the Divider-in-Chief is commiserate to the crowd that he can attract and  it appears the only places President Obama is welcomed with open arms are high schools and community colleges, both beneficiaries of wild amounts of stimulus spending. This makes the recent polling data of +5, +7 and +9 Democrat sampling even more suspect. With the enthusiasm being on the side of the GOP, polling that samples more Dems is just simply not credible.

UPDATE I: I did not realize that when I made this post that Mark Steyn and Powerline were going down the same path, although great minds think alike. However, seeing that ‘This is Spinal Tap’ is one of my favorite comedies of all time, despite the fact that it was directed by uber-lib Rob Reiner of “Meathead” fame from All in the Family. It’s not like we have not made an Obama – Spinal Tap in the past.

I guess the next thing we will hear from Team Obama is that they canceled the Boston political gig, but don’t worry, it’s not like Boston is a college town.

Just more lies by the campaign. The high schools will not provide many votes because of the limited age group. Community colleges often have students that are old enough to understand from experience that Obama is wothless as a leader.

Let the polls show the skew of Democrat voters. This will only make those who oppose Obama work harder to defeat him.

The only way the Democrats will come close is by voter fraud. Something they have been practicing since the time of FDR. Maybe the new voter I.D. laws and groups like True the Vote can curtail a lot of the fraud.

[...] Posted by dcbarroco As Mr. Obama presses FORWARD in his 2012 re-election campaign, his rallying cry is more “nuanced”.  It certainly is not as satisfying as the originaly hopey changey rebel yell.  Maybe this explains why the Obama 2012 campaign rallies have had so many empty seats, as they imitate Spinal Tap and have a more selective audience.
