Madeleine found or just wishful thinking?
Stephen Birch, a commercial real estate developer from South Africa and a self proclaimed investigator says he knows where missing Madeleine “Maddy” McCann is buried. Birch claims to have taken scans with a ground penetrating device last week in Praia da Luz, the Portuguese holiday resort, which includes the property called Casa Lilliana owned by Jennifer Murat, where Madeleine disappeared five years ago. He passed them to Scotland Yard detectives who are carrying out an investigative review of the case However, many are skeptical as this area had previously been searched.
Early on in the investigation of Madeleine’s disappearance, Jennifer’s son, Robert Murat who lived with his mother at Casa Lilliana was questioned by the police. A search of the grounds by police using hi-tech scanning equipment and a SAR dog resulted in finding no evidence.
However, there is a catch. The very individual who admittedly is obsessed with the case of missing Maddie McCann, could be facing legal issues. Stephen Birch trespassed on private property while doing his search and could face criminal trespassing charges.
Madeleine McCann was 3 years old when she vanished from the family’s hotel room where they were vacationing in the Algarve resort of Praia da Luz in Portugal in 2007.
