The manhunt continues for Auburn, AL murder suspect Desmonte Leonard …
SWAT teams searching murder suspect Desmonte Leonard, the man charged with fatally shooting three people near Auburn University, stormed an Alabama house Monday where they believe Leonard was hiding. Police left the scene without arrests. Desmonte Leonard is wanted on three capital murder attest warrants.
Murder Suspect: Desmonte Leonard
Authorities searching for a man charged with fatally shooting three people near Auburn University swarmed a house Monday where they believe he’s hiding, firing tear gas and sending a tactical team on cautious forays inside.
The tactical team had searched the lower portions of the house and was making deliberate moves into the attic where suspect Desmonte Leonard was believed to be hiding, said Montgomery Public Safety Director Chris Murphy. He declined to give a timetable for them to bring someone out.
“We are having to slowly put our people up there and do an inch-by-inch search,” he said during a briefing several hours after police surrounded the house.
Police had hoped to flush out the person with tear gas and verbal commands, but sent in the tactical team after getting no response. They’ve used thermal imaging and other technology to narrow down what part of the attic he’s in. The attic is cramped, complicating investigators’ efforts.
Previously, Auburn police said 18 year old Jeremy S. Thomas of Montgomery, AL was charged with hindering prosecution after he fled the scene of the shooting with Desmonte Leonard. Yet another shock, this thug has a record too. Montgomery police also stated that 41 year old Gabriel Thomas was charged with hindering prosecution after having contact with Leonard after the shooting and providing false information to officers.
Jeremy Thomas, 18, of Montgomery has been charged with hindering prosecution and allegedly fled with 22-year-old Desmonte Leonard, the man police suspect in the shooting, from University Heights apartments Saturday, Auburn Police Chief Tommy Dawson said.
Dawson said Thomas is now being questioned by Auburn police officers. He said approximately 35 officers are actively working with Montgomery police and other law enforcement agencies in the search for Leonard.
The charge against Thomas comes a little less than a year after he was arrested on murder charges for the June 16, 2011, shooting death of a teen in Montgomery, according to court records. Although he was originally charged with murder, he was out on bond and is scheduled to go to trial for manslaughter next week.

Executive Director of Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) Says Opposition to Barack Obama is Racism
When you can’t run on Obama’s record … Use the Race Card.
The Executive Director of the (CBC), Congressional Black Caucus, states that opposition to President Barack Obama is racism. How pathetic that the CBC would play the race card and use that as an excuse for the failed polices of Barack Obama. Angela Rye even went so far as to claim that Conservatives using the term “cool” is racist. Good grief.
Angela Rye, Executive Director of the Congressional Black Caucus, argued that President Obama has struggled during his first term due to racially-motivated opposition from conservatives who dislike having a black president.
“This is probably the toughest presidential term in my lifetime,” Rye said during CSPAN’s Q&A yesterday. “I think that a lot of what the president has experienced is because he’s black. You know, whether it’s questioning his intellect or whether or not he’s Ivy League. It’s always either he’s not educated enough or he’s too educated; or he’s too black or he’s not black enough; he’s too Christian or not Christian enough. There are all these things where he has to walk this very fine line to even be successful.”
She said that “a lot” of conservative opposition is racially-charged, citing the use of the word “cool” in an attack ad launched by Karl Rove’s Crossroads GPS superPAC.
Really, questioning Obama’s intellect and education is racism? Because George W. Bush was never called stupid by the Left. When one becomes President, they becomes a target of political opposition. That has been the case with every President, Obama is nothing special. The only difference is that He and his supportive minions cannot take the heat and resort to using the race card.
The CBC has done a great disservice to actual racism. Does racism exist, of course. However, one might say there is just as much reverse racism as there is racism in the traditional sense. One thing is for certain, Americans are not opposed to Obama because of racism, they are against his policies because they are a disaster for families and for America. Oh no, but these lazy thinking individuals would rather use the race card than explain how under Barack Obama there is a record number of people on food stamps, a continued +8% of Americans are unemployed, 18% underemployed, a failed $787 billion stimulus plan, an unwanted Obamacare law, a failed green energy government subsided plan and an out of control $15.7 trillion national debt.
This is not racism, its every Americans right of freedom and liberty to express opposition as afforded by the US Constitution. What is racism … as stated at Sister Toldja, “the real racialist here is the one who sees race behind every tree and bush.”

Don’t Mess With Texas … Texas Father Kills Predator He Caught Sexually Assaulting His 4 Year Old Daughter
File this one under, it is hard to believe that anyone would find fault in defending your 4 year old daughter from a sex predator, Subtitle, “Don’t Mess With Texas”.
A Texas father killed a man that he caught sexually assaulting his 4 year old daughter. The father returned to the house, caught the perv in the act of assaulting his daughter and stopped him by striking him in the head several times. So will the father be charged with a murder? It is hard to believe. When asked whether they would press charges against the father, the sheriff responded, “You have a right to defend your daughter. He acted in defense of his third person. Once the investigation is completed we will submit it to the district attorney who then submits it to the grand jury, who will decide if they will indict him.” My bet is that he will not be charged. In fact, he should be given an award. As the Joshua Pundit says, maybe even Father of the Year. Agreed!
A Texas father caught a man sexually assaulting his 4-year-old daughter and punched him in the head repeatedly, killing him, authorities said.
The father was casually acquainted with the alleged abuser, said Lavaca County Sheriff Micah Harmon.
Neither has been publicly identified.
The girl was left inside the family’s house during the social gathering, while other members of her family were tending to horses, the sheriff said.
The alleged abuser was known for his horse-grooming abilities, Harmon said.
The father returned to the house, caught the man in the act, and stopped him by striking him in the head several times, Harmon said.
The father is described as being remorseful as he didn’t know the man would die. Huh, remorseful why? Sorry, but when a predator perv attacks your 4 year old child or any age for that matter, you have the right to do everything and anything at your means to protect your family. There will be no jury … as most everyone in Shiner, TX stated … “he deserved everything he got”.
Good riddance to bad rubbish.

The Obama ‘Hope & Change’ Years: Median Net Worth of Families Fall 39% from 2007 to 2010
More great economic news for American’s from Barack Obama’s ‘Hope and Change’. According to the Federal Reserve, the median net worth of US families have plunged 39% in the past three years under Barack Obama. But of course we all know who Obama will blame for this. This is yet more proof that the private sector is doing fine. Let’s wait for Obama’s next presser when he says the American family is #DoingJustFine.
The recent recession wiped out nearly two decades of Americans’ wealth, according to government data released Monday, with middle-class families bearing the brunt of the decline.
The Federal Reserve said the median net worth of families plunged by 39 percent in just three years, from $126,400 in 2007 to $77,300 in 2010. That puts Americans roughly on par with where they were in 1992.
The data represent one of the most detailed looks at how the economic downturn altered the landscape of family finance. Over a span of three years, Americans watched progress that took almost a generation to accumulate evaporate. The promise of retirement built on the inevitable rise of the stock market proved illusory for most. Homeownership, once heralded as a pathway to wealth, became an albatross.

Remember in November, as opined by the Lonely Conservative, when you ask yourselves if you are better off than you were four years ago, the answer for many is an obvious no.
