Two things we can say with certainty: He will get a fairer trial than Trayvon Martin got; and the punishment will not be as severe.
Surprised, No- but thinking the Prosecutor got a bit over-zealous with the charges.
IMO, Manslaughter would have been easier to prove when this thing goes to trial.
I’ve stated it before, IMOO, I do believe Zimmerman profiled this young Teen (regardless of his skin color, he assumed the Teen was there looking for trouble or about to commit a Crime, which was incorrect) but I honestly don’t believe Zimmerman set out to Murder anyone.
I believe Martin knew he was being followed, that made him nervous and apprehensive (as it would anyone) and that when GZ approached him, a struggle ensued. When Martin tried to defend himself physically, I think GZ overreacted and reached for his gun. In that split second, GZ made the wrong decision and fired it into his chest. Obviously, this didn’t have to happen.
Martin is not here to ever give his side of the story. I also believe that the race-baiters and the side show needs to go away. Zimmerman should be held responsible for this crime, but he should not be the victim himself of a Witch hunt nor should be be exposed to the slurs and chaos the MSM and Race-Baiters have enveloped him in.
Can’t honestly see how this Man will ever get a fair trial, and can’t honestly begin to comprehend how Martin’s Parents have been feeling and what they have gone through. Although the Mother retracted one of her statements yesterday about her opinion of it being an accident gone wrong, I think many people could learn a lesson about Grace and dignity in observing their behavior. They have done quite well with what they have faced, and I daresay I would not be so calm if it were my Son.
Such a shame.
