So much for the federal Bald and Golden Eagle Protection Act. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has issued a permit to the Native American tribe Northern Arapaho’s to kill American Bald Eagles on the grounds of religious purposes. UNREAL. I guess we can all be thankful that there are no Myans alive today practicing human sacrifices. Under the Feds logic, it would be ok to kill humans for religious purposes as well.
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has taken the unusual step of issuing a permit allowing an American Indian tribe in Wyoming to kill two bald eagles for religious purposes.
The agency’s decision comes after the Northern Arapaho Tribe filed a federal lawsuit last year contending the refusal to issue such permits violates tribal members’ religious freedom. Although thousands of American Indians apply for eagle feathers and carcasses from a federal repository, permits allowing the killing of bald eagles are exceedingly rare, according to both tribal and legal experts on the matter.

I find this so disheartening. Where I live there is an organization working night and day to rescue, heal, preserve and eventually release bald eagles to the wild. A few of these magnificent birds have been injured to the extent that they can never be whole again to soar in the sky, due to being shot by some idiot. But even these are precious to the organization and are kept safe in their own habitat. How dare the Fish and Game Commission give anyone permission to kill the symbol of our country. to be sacrificed as part of some religious ritual, no less. I know that sacrificing animals is part of Hussein Obama’s religion. Someone should tell him that here in the US, we don’t do that.
This is even more offensive then I think anyone realizes. By signing such a bill to kill Americas Sacred symbol is to me the same as declaring war on America and Americans. What if we declared open season on his sacred Owl, that would be the same as us declaring war on his belief system. So if there is open season on Eagles and Owls then there would be an even balance where it wouldn’t just be about the government against us but a war between us and them. Obama also has flags floating around where the stars on the flag have been replaced with his own image. How much more can he prove to America that he hates us?

being offered to special individuals/groups (that
please the regime, I might add).
Bringing up Eagles, Contraception, Fat Foods, Government
interference in Religions, and other non-critical involvement
of the President of the United States is how the real ‘smoke
and mirrors’ dodge is accomplished.
Barry is a complete failure without a single positive
accomplishment to base his platform…. not gas prices,
National debt, Economy, Jobs, International relations,
or anything else of consequence.
Obama is the worst thing that has ever happened to this country and he continues on. He doesn’t represent America and what it stands for. I don’t know where the Democrats found this imbecile. He doesn’t belong in the White House and never has. I still don’t believe he is an American citizen. Plus…. he has a cocaine brain. He misuses his power and destroys our country.

…while I do believe, as VP Dick Cheney and Karl Rove and a host of our intelligence agencies do that President Obama IS a citizen AND a “Christian”, not a Muslim, I also feel that the intentional slaughter of OUR national symbol of America, a symbol of FREEDOM, is disrespectful to OUR country, the United States of America.
It is a sad day indeed when we relinquish our symbol for an inane culture that believes it is fine to willy-nilly KILL these majestic birds for their own folly…

So much ignorance from this obvious ignorant person that brought up this subject. I think you PEOPLE tend to forget that this wasn’t always “America” it had no name before Chistopher Columbus came. Eagles and buffalos were very plentiful before the “expansion” begun. We’re just taking back what’s rightfully ours. We’ve lived and used the eagle thousands of years before the whites came to this land and yet without them not even nearly coming close to being endangered or extinct. Take a good look at Buffalo Bill Cody…..because of what he did a prehistoric animal was nearly wiped off the face of this planet. Your buildings and your MCDonalds are the reason why your AMERICAN SYMBOL is near extinction. We use maybe a few Eagles a year but your actions are what dissipate the Eagle population. Take a look at your history before you start judging the actions of a people that use the eagle much more than just a symbol.

SM: You know your argument might have been more persuasive if you did not start it with a personal attack. I think you tend to forget that you most likely have ate at a MCD’s. You also probably have benefited from the United States after it had been discovered by Columbus, that’s actually debatable as well.
