Venezuela Leader Hugo Chávez Calls President Barack Obama a “clown” and an “embarrassment”

You’ve Lost that Luvin’ Feeling … When Socialists Attack One Another.

It would seem that the previous hand shakes between Venezuela’s Hugo Chávez and President Barack Obama has done little to change the South American dictators view of the United States or its leaders. From the files of, even a blind squirrel finds an acorn once in a while, comes the following comments from Chavez blasting Obama as being a “clown” and an “embarrassment”. Chavez further commented and said that Obama should take care of his own house and focus on America, which Obama has turned into a disaster.

Hugo Chávez blasted President Barack Obama as a “clown” and an “embarrassment” who has turned the United States into a “disaster” after Obama criticized Venezuela’s ties with Iran and Cuba, according to a report Tuesday.

Chávez’s comments came in the wake of Obama’s Monday written interview with the Caracas paper El Universal, where the U.S. president questioned Venezuela’s connections to those countries. Chávez hit back strongly at Obama on state TV Monday, according to The Guardian, saying the president gave the interview only to “win votes” in the 2012 election.

“Mr. Obama decided to attack us,” Chávez said. “Now you want to win votes by attacking Venezuela. Don’t be irresponsible. You are a clown, a clown. Leave us in peace … Go after your votes by fulfilling that which you promised your people.”

“Focus on governing your country, which you’ve turned into a disaster,” Chávez said, according to The Guardian.

Interesting use of words, “Focus on governing your country, which you’ve turned into a disaster.” Which means that the country was not a disaster prior to Obama turning it into one. Hmm.  How bad is it for Obama and his actions, when Hugo Chavez actually makes a valid point and makes sense about a sitting American President, “We the People” have a serious problem.

I think people hate taxes for a variety of reasons; but when you get down to it they don’t see the value matching the cost. I think most people would satisfied with a very high tax rate if the services received were a reflection of the cost; but that is a theoretical debate at best.

For me, my biggest problem is the complexity. As a small business owner with a home office and a mortgage and all that goes with it, my taxes are complicated. I have an accountant deal with it all now, but for a few years there I lived with some degree of fear of an audit year in and year out. Perhaps irrational…but most fears are.

Chavez Repeats ‘Devil’ Comment at Harlem Event
      Thursday, September 21, 2006

NEW YORK — Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, appearing Thursday at a Harlem Church for an oil-for-poor event, repeated his ‘devil’ reference hurled a day earlier at President Bush during a speech at the United Nations
      .
“They told me that I should be careful after I called him the devil — and I think he is the devil — because he might kill me” Chavez told a crowd packed into the Mount Olivet Baptist Church in Harlem. ….

In Harlem, the crowd chanted in Spanish, “Chavez, Chavez, the people are with you,” as he walked into the church dressed in his signature red shirt.

Chavez called Bush a “sick man” who was “very dangerous because he has so much power.”

Guess the President should take that as a compliment coming from someone like Hugo.

they don’t see the value matching the cost.

Especially when they see able bodied people sitting around collecting the tax money they worked hard to produce, along with the “research” congress comes up with to figure out why snails cross the road.

As far as Chavez, it’s from one clown to another.
