Flip-Flopper: Obama Says on ’60 Minutes’ … “I Always Believed” Fixing the Economy Was “Going to Take Longer Than One Term” … What Happened to One Term Proposition? (VIDEO)

During last nights CBS ’60 Minutes’ interview with Steve Kroft, President Barack Obama was reminded of the terrible situation with the economy and asked about his job approval numbers with said economy. However, once again Obama blamed George W. Bush and Republicans, not his policies and agenda over the past three years. Then came the ultimate, convenient flip-flop, Barack Obama said, “I always believed” fixing the economy was going to take “longer than one term.”

Steve Kroft: We have a new CBS poll, which is out this weekend. And I’ll give you the news that’s good for you first. People like you. They respect you. They think that you’re working hard. And they realize that you faced an enormous amount of trouble and problems, many of them inherited. And you’re approval rating is four times higher than the Congress.

President Barack Obama: That’s a low bar, I gather.

Kroft: But they’re not happy with the way you’re doing your job. You’ve got 75 percent of the people in the country think it’s headed in the wrong direction. Seventy-five percent. And 54 percent don’t think that you deserve to be re-elected. I mean, those are not good numbers with 11 months to go before the election.

The full transcript can be read HERE.

So Obama always thought that the it would take longer than one term, eh? As we are reminded by the Gateway Pundit in the VIDEO below, that is hardly what The One said on the Today Show in 2009. Then Obama said,
“my Presidency will be ‘a one term proposition’ if  the economy does not turn around in three years.” So what ever happened to that follow up question? How about it Barack, your days of blaming others are over, take some responsibility for one. You wanted to be President … own it!

“Look, I’m at the start of my administration. One nice thing about the situation I find myself in is that I will be held accountable. You know, I’ve got four years. A year from now I think people are going to see that we’re starting to make some progress. But there’s still going to be some pain out there. If I don’t have this done in three years, then there’s going to be a one-term proposition.”

In 2012 President Obama, you will be judged on the economy! People are tired of your blame game, how many times are you going to remind us of the difficult situation you took over? If your not up to it Mr. President, go!

North Carolina Governor Beverly Perdue words were not pulled out of thin air. Obviously … the possibility of a suspended election has been a topic of discussion in the Democratic circles. Was Perdue chosen as the means to determine the reaction of Americans. In other words … testing the waters.

Could it that Barack Obama affording credibility to the protesters is a plan to allow widespread anarchy to flourish … widespread anarchy which will provide the perfect climate for Obama to exercise executive power to proclaim a National crisis … a National crisis which dictates the suspension of the 2012 election.

Those with far left/Maxist leanings will applaud the idea.

“I think we ought to suspend, perhaps, elections for Congress for two years and just tell them we won’t hold it against them, whatever decisions they make, to just let them help this country recover,” she said. “I really hope that someone can agree with me on that. … You want people who don’t worry about the next election.” The audio has been posted online.

“She wasn’t joking at all. The congressional Democrats are wildly unpopular in North Carolina, so she may have been trying to invent a solution to save their jobs from public accountability,” spokesman Rob Lockwood said. “If it was a joke, what was the set-up? What was the punch-line? Where was the pause for laughter?”

this is the answer you give when you have no idea about what you are doing. he should have just said “i don’t know how to fix the economy” and he would have been telling the truth.

It’s taken three (+) years to steal and spend (redistribute to
supporters and cohorts) the wealth of America well out
thru future generations. So much damage has been done,
and so much stolen and distributed that Obama need not
be reelected to have completed the major portion of the
heist. Government dependents and parasites will have no
choice but to vote for more of the same since they all owe
their soul to the Company (government) Store!

Guess the mess W. and his cronies left was bigger than anticipated, so 4 more years to clean it up.

#4: get a life and a job boy. democrats are totally responsible for the destruction of our country so accept your responsibility boy and grow up !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Marco the Marxist – you tool! Unemployment under Bush was around 5%; under Obama is actually around 11%…it’s not hard to figure out who drove up unemployment.

You need to go get a class in Economics 101 but tool libtards such as yourself don’t understand it anyways.

Why can’t you admit that Obama has added more debt in 3 years than ALL the Presidents before him.

Marco -you have no substance. You just tout the typical libtard talking points.

Get a clue: Americans NO LONGER believe this is Bush’s fault. EVERY SINGLE POLICY Obama has signed into LAW has been a massive failure and led to things like HIGHER UNEMPLOYMENT!

Go take a look at your boyfriend Barney Frank and his crooked mortgage man Chris Dodd and thank them for the housing meltdown….you may want to do some research on Fannie and Freddie and how the Clinton presidency under the Community Re-investment act started this whole housing crisis in the first place when he put in policies that FORCED banks to give loans to home-buyers who they knew couldn’t pay their mortgage.

You have ZILCH of clue what you are talking about.

Your just a little boy still wet behind the ears.

      Moron!

It’s going to be tough listening to you all whining and crying for the next 5 years but with the washed up, old ideas, trickle down, 1% ers candidates you are offering to the American voters you can’t win … betcha $10,000 LOL
even yo mama gonna vote Obama .. LMAO

#7: when will you losers grow up and confront your 1%ers in the white house ? Obama is rich off of wall street. Pelosi is filthy rich off wall street, Reid also. all you little p#$$ies can do is blame like your boy Obama. it is the democrat easdy way out not to take responsiblility for your screwups. why not step up and be a man junior ? surely you demmie boys can muster at least one loser with some intestinal fortitude ?

    10. Dolf on December 14th, 2011 10:58 am

@6…and that had nothing to do with the finacial meltdown that happened in the last days of the Bush admin (and no that wasn’t Bush his fault either).

      and forced the banks??
don’t think so…the Goldman Sachs boys that dominated every US admin starting Reagan wouldn’t had agreed with that.
