President Barack Obama Even Losing Ground with Blacks … 58% “strongly favorable” Rating

Even Barack Obama’s most ardent supporters have lost faith in the President.

How bad is it these days for President Barack Obama when it comes to his political support? He has seen support wane with pretty much every demographic.  Obama is even floundering with political support from blacks, down a whopping 25%. According to a recent Washington Post-ABC poll, the President has dropped from a “strongly favorable” rating of 83%, about 5 months ago, to an amazingly low 58% presently.

New cracks have begun to show in President Obama’s support amongst African Americans, who have been his strongest supporters. Five months ago, 83 percent of African Americans held “strongly favorable” views of Obama, but in a new Washington Post-ABC news poll that number has dropped to 58 percent. That drop is similar to slipping support for Obama among all groups.

“There is a certain amount of racial loyalty and party loyalty, but eventually that was going to have to weaken,” said Andra Gillespie, a political scientist at Emory University, who studies African Americans. “It’s understandable given the economy.”

African Americans have always voted in lockstep with the Democrat party and especially came out in record numbers to vote for Barack Obama in 2008. However, all of Obama’s promises, all the rhetoric, and all the claims of hope and change have done nothing to help black Americans. As a matter of fact, the unemployment rate has become worse for black America under the regime of Obama. How will Obama say to blacks that their lives are better today than they were before he was elected? What more promises can he offer, he has failed on jobs?

While the African-American community has lessened the intensity of its support, its overall favorability towards Obama remains extremely high. Indeed, 86 percent of black voters say that they view the president at least “somewhat favorably.”

The jobless rate for African-Americans has been substantially higher than for the rest of America. In August, unemployment for the community jumped 0.8 month from the previous month to 16.7 percent. The unemployment rate for America overall is 9.1 percent.

The questions is, with such poor polling data, especially with black Americans, how many are really going to be inspired to vote for Obama in 2012? There was a historic election in 2008; however, since then Obama’s record as President has been far from stellar. Barack Obama received 95% of the black vote in 2008, now he only has a 58% “strongly favorable” … will blacks just stay home? One has to wonder just how many black Americans have secret buyer’s remorse?

Barack Obama, President Zero … Zero Hope, Zero Change, Zero Confidence and Zero Jobs

Texas Gov. Rick Perry’s campaign launched their latest political ad … President Obama is “President Zero”. Wow, this ad is going to leave a mark. It starts out by using Obama’s own words against him praising the economic recovery and ends with a positive and uplifting message from Rick Perry. With an economy in such disarray, Obama’s economic policies failing miserably and Obama’s approval rating on the economy in the low 30′s, it is hard to imagine that he is reelectable.

The ad opens like a trailer for a zombie movie: empty, desolate streets and shops, a storm siren blaring. Obama’s iconic “O” symbol is then replaced with a zero, as various clips of television reporters talking about “zero jobs created” play.

Obama Sinking in Polls … Losing Ground to GOP, Obama Leads Palin by Just 5%

Yet more bad polling data for President Barack Obama. Not only is Obama’s job approval and favorability rating sinking fast in the polls, Obama is also losing ground in head to head match ups against potential 2012 GOP Presidential candidates. Hey Democrats, guess who had the biggest gain on Obama … that would be Sarah Palin.  She previously trailed Obama by more than 20 percentage points earlier this year; however, Palin now trails the Obama by just 5 points, 49% -44%.

Look out President Barack Obama. Even Sarah Palin’s gaining on you.

A new McClatchy-Marist poll finds that Obama looks increasingly vulnerable in next year’s election, with a majority of voters believing he’ll lose to any Republican, a solid plurality saying they’ll definitely vote against him and most potential Republican challengers gaining on him.

Even in potential matchups where he leads, Obama in most cases has lost ground to the Republican.

Michelle Malkin references some of the other hypothetical matchups. There appears to be an obvious trend … ANYBODY BUT BARACK. Hey America, how’s that “Hopey, Changey” stuff working out for you these days?

Obama is neck and neck with Romney, leading by 46-44. Obama had led by 5 points in August, 4 points in June, and 1 point in April. Romney now leads among independents, 44 percent to 40 percent.

Obama leads Perry by 50 percent to 41 percent. They split independents 43-43. Obama had led Perry by 19 points in August, as Perry was joining the campaign.

Iran Finally Frees US Hikers Josh Fattal & Shane Bauer

According to ABC News,  two US hikers Josh Fattal and Shane Bauer have been freed by Iran.  As per  their lawyer, the two Americans held captive in an Iranian prison for over two years will be set free today. A second Iranian judge has finally signed their release order.  Iran had previously sentenced Josh Fattal and Shane Bauer to 8 years in prison as spies.

Attorney Masoud Shafii, the lawyer representing the Americans, said that the only thing now keeping Shane Bauer and Joshua Fattal behind bars is the $500,00 bail each, which their lawyer tells ABC News could be processed today.

“The natural path has taken its course. As I had mentioned before, I was waiting for a signature. This has now happened. There was a small problem with the bail. I requested from them to deal with this problem. I asked them to go to the Central Bank to resolve the issue. I hope that this will be resolved today,” Shafii said today.

What a shock that the release comes right before Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is set to speak in NYC at the UN in front of the General Assembly.

President Barack Obama Hits 39% in Latest McClatchy – Marist Poll

DOWN, DOWN, DOWN …

Following President Barack Obama jobs speech in front of a joint session of Congress, Obama has now hit an all-time low in his jobs approval with the McClatchy-Marist poll.  Obama’s approval rating is at 39% among registered voters and for the first time a majority, 52% disapproves of the job he is doing as president.

“President Obama needs to reboot his presidency,” says Dr. Lee M. Miringoff, Director of The Marist College Institute for Public Opinion.  “Although numbers like these typically spell doom for an incumbent’s re-election prospects, the Republicans in Congress and eventually his GOP opponent could still provide Obama with running room.”

President Obama’s current approval rating is his lowest since last December …

How damaging is this poll for Barack Obama, one only needs to look at the Independent vote.  Only 32% of independent voters now approve of Obama’s  job performance while  57% disapprove.  Just last month 38% of independents  gave Obama a thumbs up on his job approval and 46% disapproved. There has been a ten percentage point change among independent voters and Republican voters. 40% of independent voters have a favorable impression of the president while 50% shared this view last month.  Among Republican voters, 87% have an unfavorable view of Mr. Obama while 77% thought this way in August.

69% of independent voters disapprove of how the president is handling the country’s economy.  In June, 60% had this view.

As stated at The Daily Caller, even Obama’s personal popularity seems to be on the wane. Dr. Lee M. Miringoff, Director of The Marist College Institute for Public Opinion stated that “President Obama needs to reboot his presidency.”  However, it appears from Obama’s recent comments  that he he doubling down on his failed polices and spewing nothing more than class warfare. Hardly a reset of his presidency.

Will Liberals Really Run a Primary Challenge Against President Obama?

We have this call in the past from Liberals and Progressives that they would run a primary challenge against President Barack Obama, but will they? Will the progressives in the Democrat party actually stand up for their principles, or is this just talk?

Worried the liberal voice is being drowned out in the presidential campaign, progressive leaders said Monday they want to field a slate of candidates against President Obama in the Democratic primaries to make him stake out liberal stances as he seeks re-election.

Ralph Nader warns that without an intraparty challenge the liberal agenda “will be muted and ignored,” the one-man primary will kill voter enthusiasm and voters won’t get a chance to reflect on the real differences that divide the Democratic and Republican parties.

“What we are looking at now is the dullest presidential campaign since Walter Mondale — and that’s saying something, believe me,” Mr. Nader told The Washington Times.

We have heard previous calls for such a run from Ralph Nader and US Senator Bernie Sanders (VT-I) … but is Nader finally serious and going to find a challenger to Obama? Nader and company want to develop a debate to bring attention to the Democrat Party. One would think that Obama has already done that, of course it would negative attention with regards to handling the economy and forcing Obamacare down the throats of Americans. However,  what about former VT Gov. and Presidential candidate Howard Dean? For Progressives, he would seem like the ideal candidate. With such low job approval polling numbers, one can only imagine what an internal battle like a primary challenge would further do to Obama’s approval ratings.

While the group does harbor certain concerns regarding President Obama’s policies in Afghanistan and Pakistan, his handling of the recent debt ceiling debate, and his relationship to Wall Street, they remain insistent that in offering a challenger they mean to do well by the Democratic Party. As Nader explains in the Washington Times, the group’s intent is to create debate and draw attention to the Democratic Party in the same way the GOP primary has done for the Republicans.

President Barack Obama to Propose $1.5 trillion in New Taxes

Just what America needs in the midst of a double dip recession … Obama to propose $1.5 trillion in new taxes.  Just what we need to stimulate job creation, raising taxes in order to provide $3 trillion in debt reduction.  This President never met a tax hike he did not like … can 2012 come fast enough?

President Barack Obama’s proposal to reduce long-term deficits with $1.5 trillion in new taxes is less an opening bid in a negotiation than it is an opening salvo in a struggle to draw sharp contrasts with congressional Republicans.

Obama’s proposal is aimed predominantly at the wealthy and comes just days after House Speaker John Boehner ruled out tax increases to lower deficits. It also comes amid a clamor in his own Democratic Party for Obama to take a tougher stance against Republicans. And while the plan stands little chance of passing Congress, its populist pitch is one that the White House believes the public can support.

Of course Obama’s answer is tax the rich. Now that all depends on how you define rich. Obama calls it the Buffet rule; however, will people who make $250K be treated the same as some one who makes 100′s of millions? That is what Obama calls shared sacrifice. Legal Insurrection is correct, it is time for an intervention for Obama … America cannot take any more from this President.

Unreal, a President of the US pronounces political game playing with the US economy rather than providing leadership with an true and honesty economic policy.  All Obama is looking to do is blame the economy on the GOP rather they say, the buck stops with him.
