Iran Finally Frees US Hikers Josh Fattal & Shane Bauer

According to ABC News two US hikers Josh Fattal and Shane Bauer have been freed by Iran.  As per  their lawyer, the two Americans held captive in an Iranian prison for over two years will be set free today. A second Iranian judge has finally signed their release order.  Iran had previously sentenced Josh Fattal and Shane Bauer to 8 years in prison as spies.

Attorney Masoud Shafii, the lawyer representing the Americans, said that the only thing now keeping Shane Bauer and Joshua Fattal behind bars is the $500,00 bail each, which their lawyer tells ABC News could be processed today.

“The natural path has taken its course. As I had mentioned before, I was waiting for a signature. This has now happened. There was a small problem with the bail. I requested from them to deal with this problem. I asked them to go to the Central Bank to resolve the issue. I hope that this will be resolved today,” Shafii said today.

What a shock that the release comes right before Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is set to speak in NYC at the UN in front of the General Assembly.

      Bottom Line

“Hikers” will think think once/twice/three times prior to venturing anywhere near the Iranian border.

Likewise … anyone contemplating the breaching of security at the White House by “fence jumping” will think one/twice/three times prior to acting.

Maybe in the name of Homeland Security consequences that deter should be applied to ILLEGAL immigrants.

Ahmadinejad Calls U.S. ‘Satanic,’ Israel ‘About to Die’
      Monday, June 02, 2008

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad predicted that Muslims would uproot “satanic powers” and reaffirmed his prediction that the Jewish state will soon be wiped off the map, the Agence France-Presse news agency reported Monday.

“I must announce that the Zionist regime (Israel), with a 60-year record of genocide, plunder, invasion and betrayal is about to die and will soon be erased from the geographical scene,” Ahmadinejad said.

“Today, the time for the fall of the satanic power of the United States has come and the countdown to the annihilation of the emperor of power and wealth has started,” the hard-line president said.

The White House immediately DISMISSED Ahmadinejad’s latest attack on Israel and accused him of “total disregard” for the Iranian people’s needs and beliefs.

On a footnote, glad to see that many walked out of the UN when Imma Dinnah Jacket took the stand for his address.

Strength is in numbers–this man is a complete WhackJob and at least it is minimally encouraging to see many join forces and send this nut a clear message.

WE PROTEST! He has no concern for the human race and his agenda is clear as Janet points out above.
