More Obama Hope & Change: 2nd Quarter GDP Revised Down to 1%

Hope and Change Obama Style.

The bad economic news of Barack Obama’s presidency just got worse. Everyone thought that the 1.3% GDP initially announced was bad, guess what sports fans, the Department of Commerce just revised it down to 1%.  Add this to this weeks increase in first time unemployment benefits, the 9.1% unemployment rate and the an 18.2% underemployment rate. America cannot stand 4 more years of this nonsense.

GROSS DOMESTIC PRODUCT: SECOND QUARTER 2011 (SECOND ESTIMATE)
CORPORATE PROFITS: SECOND QUARTER 2011 (PRELIMINARY)
Real gross domestic product — the output of goods and services produced by labor and property
located in the United States — increased at an annual rate of 1.0 percent in the second quarter of 2011,
(that is, from the first quarter to the second quarter), according to the “second” estimate released by the
Bureau of Economic Analysis. In the first quarter, real GDP increased 0.4 percent.
The GDP estimates released today are based on more complete source data than were available
for the “advance” estimate issued last month. In the advance estimate, the increase in real GDP was 1.3
percent.

Barack Obama has earned his 26% approval and 71% disapproval rating on the economy. It was Obama who said that he would be judged on his handling of the economy in the 2012 election, wasn’t it? It sure was.

Hypocrisy: So Much for Freedom of Speech at ESPN, Warn Azinger to Stop Mocking Tweets about President Obama … “The Potus has played more golf”

A NOTE TO ESPN, YOU BETTER LEARN WHO YOUR AUDIENCE IS REAL FAST.

Just another example of media bias, How ironic, ESPN who benefits from the US Constitutional Right of Freedom of the Press, also seems to have an issue with the First Amendment Right of Freedom of Speech. Shame on you ESPN. Sadly the liberal MSM has infiltrated the sports media.

ESPN chastised Paul Azinger, former PGA golfer and ESPN golfing analyst for tweeting that President Barack Obama plays for golf than he does and that he has created more jobs than Obama. ESPN stated that it went against their social network policy for on-air talent and reporters. If its the truth, is that considered mocking? However, if you are going to have a policy that could include termination, you best apply the rules consistently.

LET’S GET REAL ESPN, YOU POLICY PERTAINS TO ONLY MOCKING BARACK OBAMA. Of course this has nothing to do with the fact that the parent company of ESPN, ABC, paid beaucoup bucks to elect Obama now does it. How pathetically sad is it that even sports media has become so liberal that they stoop to this level. A note to ESPN, ask Oprah how her media career went after she publically supported and tied herself to Barack Obama. Just saying.

ESPN is coming down on Paul Azinger for mocking President Obama on Twitter. The golf analyst tweeted Thursday the commander in chief plays more golf than he does — and that Azinger has created more jobs this month than Obama has.

On Friday ESPN ‘reminded” Azinger his venture into political punditry violates the company’s updated social network policy for on-air talent and reporters.

ESPN, you pathetic hypocrites. Nice consistent policy you have there ESPN as pointed out by Dana Loesch at Big Journalism.  If an on air talent like Kenny Mayne makes fun of, mocks are makes rude comments of a Republican like Sarah Palin, that’s is considered perfectly ok.  Dana has a list of numerous tweets that show quite the hypocrisy taking place in Bristol, CT.

No double standard here, eh? ESPN, you best figure out who your audience is. I would dare say you just lost many viewers of you NFL football pregame show. People do have options, keep it up ESPN, link yourself to an unpopular president like Barack Obama and you to will feel the affects like he is going to in 2012. You can let ESPN know how you feel by contacting them HERE.

First Ever Mandatory Evacuation of Nearly 300,000 NYC Residents in the Path of Irene

Mayor Michael Bloomberg ordered an evacuation by 5 p.m. Saturday for low-lying areas that house about 270,000 people. Meanwhile, Gov. Andrew Cuomo said subways, buses and commuter trains in the city, on Long Island and in the northern suburbs will begin their final runs around noon Saturday.

Some 65 million people along the U.S. East Coast are bracing for the wrath of Irene, which is expected to be the strongest hurricane to strike the East Coast in seven years and one that could inflict billions in damages in an arc from Washington to Baltimore, Philadelphia, New York and Boston.

From the National Hurricane Center:

Family Disaster Plan

Discuss the type of hazards that could affect your family. Know your home’s vulnerability to storm surge, flooding and wind.

Locate a safe room or the safest areas in your home for each hurricane hazard. In certain circumstances the safest areas may not be your home but within your community.

Determine escape routes from your home and places to meet. These should be measured in tens of miles rather than hundreds of miles.

Have an out-of-state friend as a family contact, so all your family members have a single point of contact.

Make a plan now for what to do with your pets if you need to evacuate.

Post emergency telephone numbers by your phones and make sure your children know how and when to call 911.

Check your insurance coverage – flood damage is not usually covered by homeowners insurance.

Stock non-perishable emergency supplies and a Disaster Supply Kit.

Use a NOAA weather radio. Remember to replace its battery every 6 months, as you do with your smoke detectors.

Take First Aid, CPR and disaster preparedness classes.

To all our readers in the path of this storm, please be prepared and stay safe!

Mason-Dixon: Another Poll has Obama Losing in 2012 Presidential Election, Polling Badly in Florida

Billy Joel sang, “Say Goodbye to Hollywood’, Obama might be sing saying the same to Florida.

Another day and another poll have President Barack Obama losing in the all important battle ground state of Florida. The latest grim news comes from a new Sachs/Mason-Dixon has Obama trailing GOP challengers Mitt Romney and in a dead heat with Texas Governor Rick Perry in the battle for the Sunshine state.Barack Obama has a meager 41% job approval, while 56% disapprove, including an incredible 55% of Independents.

Among the findings of the August Sachs/Mason-Dixon Florida Poll:

***51 percent of Floridians would vote for Governor Romney compared to 43 percent for President Obama;

***In a hypothetical matchup with Texas Governor Rick Perry, Perry leads with 46 percent to Obama’s 45 percent;

***President Obama leads Congresswoman Michele Bachmann 46 percent to 44 percent; and

***41 percent of Floridians approve of President Obama’s job performance while 56 percent disapprove. Fifty five percent of independents disapprove.

Just the other day, a Magellan poll had Obama with a 37% approval rating in Florida. As stated at the Business Insider, Obama’s swing state woes continue. If this trend continues, which with an economy that sees no sign of improving, there is no reason why Obama’s polling numbers will get better, the swing woes will turn into an election landslide.

Obama can thank his lucky stars that the election is not tomorrow.
