67% Say Economy Causing Family Stress … Does That Mean Obama & the First Family as Well?
According to a recent Rasmussen poll, 67% of American say that the poor US economy is adding stress to their families. The stress and strain of a continued job unemployment over 9%, an anemic 1.3% GDP, increased gas prices, continued out of control deficit spending, and wasteful $787 billion stimulus spending and an out of control debt that has caused S&P to downgrade US credit to AA+ from AAA has done nothing but cause aggravation to US families.
With the Rasmussen Consumer and Investor Indexes hovering near two-year lows and unemployment rates still in the nine percent (9%) range, it’s perhaps no surprise to find that a majority of Americans say the economy is adding stress to their family.
The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 67% of American Adults say the state of the economy is causing more stress on their family. That finding is up 10 points from this time last year . Twenty-seven percent (27%) say the economy isn’t causing their family more stress.

JUSTICE FOR CAYLEE & CELINA: Grandfather of 11 Year Old Celina Cass Wants Justice and Says, “I don’t want no Casey Anthony”
The stigma of the miscarriage of justice in the Casey Anthony murder trial has made it all the way the the northern reaches of the Granite state of New Hampshire. The grandfather of the once missing and now found deceased 11 year old Celina Cass stated that he hopes that the police and investigators are able to answer the questions in the “suspicious” death of Celina. He also stated that he wants justice and that whoever is responsible for the murder of Celina Cass gets the max. The grandfather then stated, . “I don’t want no Casey Anthony.”
Justice for Celina Cass
The grandfather of 11-year-old Celina Cass, whose death has been ruled “suspicious,” pleaded with police to solve the case and said he hopes it doesn’t leave unanswered questions like in the Casey Anthony murder trial.
“I just hope justice is brought and whoever’s responsible gets the max because that little girl didn’t deserve that,” Celina’s grandfather, Wally Laro, told the Boston Herald Wednesday. “I don’t want no Casey Anthony.”
This is yet another reminder to the clueless and irresponsible jury in the Casey Anthony case where they returned a “not guilty” verdict in that tot-mom did not murder her daughter Caylee Anthony. For the news challenged jurors in the Casey Anthony case, guess what, in rural, rural Stewartstown, NH, that appears to almost be more in Canada than the US and has a population of 800 … they have heard of you, the miscarriage of justice and the Casey Anthony murder case.

Former Obama Economic Adviser Christina Romer Chuckles at S&P Downgrade of US Credit Rating … “We’re F*cked”
Doesn’t this speak volumes of the Obama Administration and those that were put in charge of the US economy.
During an interview with Bill Mahr, former Obama economic adviser Christina Romer chuckled at the S&P downgrade of the US credit rating and said,“We’re F*cked”. Nice, this from an individual who was originally part of Obama’s economic team that was supposed to fix the economy and get Americans jobs. Many of us knew we were “F’d” the minute that Obama became president.

Transcript from NewsBusters:
BILL MAHER, HOST: So, excuse my language, but we used to do a segment on this show called “How F—ked Are We?”
(VIDEO CLIP)
MAHER: I didn’t expect that there. This, just before we went on the air they said our rating got downgraded.
CHRISTINA ROMER, FORMER CHAIR OF THE COUNCIL OF ECONOMIC ADVISERS, OBAMA ADMINISTRATION: So, pretty darned f—ked.
[Laughter and applause]
MAHER: Ooh.
ROMER: I’ve been hanging around Tim Geithner too long.
[Laughter]
MAHER: Why, does he swear like a sailor?
ROMER: Oh, like a seventh grade boy.
Remember when Roemer said that the “Fundamentals of the US Economy Are Sound?” Just curious, had Barack Obama got his initial wish of a clean debt ceiling bill, raising the debt ceiling without any conditions, it would seem that the S&P also would have downgraded the US anyways.

Mexico Border Town of Ascension Police Force Quits after Attack & Killings … America-Mexico Border Wars, WINNING?
The entire new police force of Ascension, Mexico, has quit after multiple attacks against them. The attacks have killed their police chief and five officers. You know what they say, when the going gets tough, the 20 man police force in Ascension get going. Ascension is southwest of Ciudad Juarez, the border city across from El Paso, Texas, that is one of Mexico’s most violent cities.
An entire 20-man police force resigned in a northern Mexican town after a series of attacks that killed the police chief and five officers over the last three months, state officials said Thursday.
The officers’ resignation Thursday left the 13,000 people of Ascension without local police services, Chihuahua state chief prosecutor Carlos Manuel Salas said. State and federal police have moved in to take over police work, he said.
The mass resignation appeared to be connected to a Tuesday attack by gunmen that killed three of the town’s officers, Salas said.
We can hardly consider this a victory on the Mexic0-US drug gang border wars. The police force had looked to end the killings, kidnappings and extortion that have ravaged the area. The results … not so much.

US Helicopter Shot Down in Afghanistan: 31 US Special Forces Killed – Taliban Takes Credit
Thirty one American special forces and troops and seven Afghan commandos were killed in Afghanistan after a military helicopter was shot down in Afghanistan. The Taliban has taken credit for the incident. ABC News reports that 25 US Navy Seals were on board. American officials stated that it is the deadliest single incident for American forces in Afghanistan since the decade long war began.
The Taliban claimed they downed the helicopter with rocket fire while it was taking part in a raid on a house where insurgents were gathered in the province of Wardak late Friday. It said wreckage of the craft was strewn at the scene.
NATO confirmed the overnight crash took place and that there “was enemy activity in the area.” But it said it was still investigating the cause and conducting a recovery operation at the site. It did not release details or casualty figures.
We say a prayer and thank the brave souls that died for keeping us free and battling terrorism. We also say a prayer and given our condolences to the families, loved ones and friends of those that have died, how difficult a time this must be for them. God bless and rest in peace.
The Jawa Report brings up an very interesting question that needs to be answered; however, we most likely already know who is responsible. The Taliban have taken credit for the downing of this chopper; however, where would the Taliban have obtained surface to air armaments?
Now the question is: who in the world would have an interest in supplying the Taliban with such good surface to air armaments?
If you think about it there is only one answer. Pakistani intelligence who were humiliated by the death of UBL have every motivation to prevent another similar operation.
Of course the Gateway Pundit reminds us that in June the White House confirmed that they were holding peace talks with the Taliban.
UPDATE I: Crash kills members of SEAL Team 6.
Although many of the Seals belonged to the same unit as the Seal team that took out Bin Laden, none of them are blieved to be ones that took part in the raid that took out Bin Laden.
U.S. officials tell The Associated Press that they believe that none of the Navy SEALs who died in a helicopter crash in Afghanistan had participated in the raid that killed Osama bin Laden, although they were from the same unit that carried out the bin Laden mission.
