Mark Halperin of Time Calls Barack Obama “a Dick” then Apologizes for Comments on MSNBC’s Morning Joe (video)

Mark Halperin says Obama acted like a dick … So Much for the 7 second delay.

Mark Halperin, editor-at-large for Time, called President Obama “a dick” on Thursday on a popular MSNBC morning show and then quickly apologized. Although many other people probably felt the same way, might have not been the proper way to say it.

“I thought he was a dick yesterday,” Halperin, who also is a senior political analyst for MSNBC, said on Morning Joe, referring to the President’s conduct during his press conference.

Host Joe Scarborough hoped to prevent the comment from being broadcast, saying, “Delay that. Delay that. What are you doing? I can’t believe… don’t do that. Did we delay that?”

Just minutes later, Halperin quickly apologized to the president and viewers for his choice of words. “Joking aside, this is an absolute apology. I shouldn’t have said it. I apologize to the president and the viewers who heard me say that,” Halperin said.

As Red State says, “Truth is a defense for slander.  The President was, in fact, a d*ck yesterday.” Obama acted in a condescending and arrogant manner in demagoguing the debt ceiling issue. Obama also had the audacity to tell Congress that they needed to get to work on the issue, as he has. Really Mr. President … how many rounds of golf and fundraiser have you had as the debt ceiling clock ticks? Obama and the LEFT has certainly no right to lecture anyone on civility to a sitting President. If such a comment was made of GWB, the panel at MSNBC would have laughed and went about their business.

Just curious, how was this a gaffe or mistake by Halperin? The man had before making the comment asked whether there was a seven second delay. Obviously he meant to make the comment.

However, Hot Air has an interesting take on the Halperin comment, maybe he was just channeling his inner Spicoli of Fast Time at Ridgemont High fame.  :-)

EXIT QUESTION: Would the MSM make a guest apologize so quickly if a Republican like say, Sarah Palin or Michele Bachmann was called such a name? We already know that George W. Bush was fair game.

UPDATE I: Mark Halperin Suspended Indefinitely from MSNBC

Make the same type of comment about a Republican and you are praised, but if its about the Dali Bama, you get suspended. Maybe Obama could use a suspension from appearing on media outlets until he learns some civility as well.

Surprised MSNBC did not execute Halperin LIVE. Mark the truth is always your best defense. So you forgot your a paid Obamite. Better to loose a pay check then be a media fake.
