Disgraced Weiner Showing Anthony Weiner is Eligible for House Pension on $1.3 Million at Tax Payers Expense
Can some one explain how Weiner is being held accountable for his actions?
Isn’t this special, Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-NY) remains eligible for his sizable federal pension as a House US Rep even though he resigned in disgrace amid a sexting scandal.Ever wonder what’s wrong with our government? Disgraced scum bags take no responsibilities for their actions and are not held accountable for their actions. Even after Weiner shows his “weiner” and diminishes his office as a People’s Rep, Weiner still receives a $1.3 million pension. The US tax payers are still on the hook for this joke of a Congressman.
Anthony Weiner to Tax Payer … Show Me the Money Pension
Weiner could receive almost $1.3 million in taxpayer funds over his lifetime, depending on his contributions to the voluntary program and when he chooses to draw down his pension benefits, the National Taxpayers Union (NTU) reported.
“Anthony Weiner’s resignation from Congress may have put an end to the ‘distractions’ and ‘embarrassments’ that prevented him from getting back to work, but for American taxpayers, the scandal may have only just begun,” NTU Executive Vice President Pete Sepp said Friday in a statement.
Makes one want to be a “weiner” showing Congressman that resigns from office, eh? As Weasel Zippers states … “Only in Congress”.
Under federal pension rules, Weiner could begin drawing down reduced benefits 10 years from now, when he turns 56. Under that scenario, he could collect up to $32,357 annually, totaling $1.12 million over his lifetime, NTU estimates.
If he opts to take the full pension — which kicks in at age 62 — he could receive $46,224 each year, totaling $1.28 million over his lifetime, NTU found.
BTW, in his exit press conference, did Weiner say thank you suckers for his pension?

He’s no longer a U.S. representative.
Yea..it sucks..and it’s not fair. They (Rep) and (Dems)should be stripped of all benefits when crap like this happens.
Oh…speaking of our money..what about the 6.6 Billon lost when Bush so brilliantly put 12 Billion Dollars in cash of our money on cargo planes and sent it to Iraq to later find it somehow is not accountable for. WOW! Good use of our tax dollars there.
