It came as a bombshell today, but for those that have followed the case since little Caylee Anthony went missing and then her body was discovered, it was the worst kept secret for the defense of Team Casey. During this mornings endless pre-trial publicity and death penalty phase questioning of the first potential juror in the Casey Anthony murder case, Defense Team Casey asked questions regarding mitigating circumstance to a crime that let the cat out of the bag as to what they were going to pursue at trial.
Remember the old accusations from the jailhouse letters from Casey where Casey made accusations against Lee and George.
During this mornings questioning it appears that Jose Baez, et all are going to say that Casey Anthony was sexually abused and that she grew up in a dysfunctional family. This of course has long been rumored that George abused her; however, its been categorically denied. Many thought they would not go this direction; however, those that follow the case have said this was the stunt they would use as a defense.
The fireworks began when the defense team laid out its strategy for the very first time while questioning potential jurors. Anthony’s attorneys asked them if they would be able to consider certain aspects of the young mother’s background while trying her for mother.
Ann Finnell said, “Her lack of maturity, her lack of impulse control, history of sexual abuse, suffers from insomnia and nightmares, mother and father failed to protect her as a child. She was taught poor coping skills.”
So a lack of coping skills is a defense and a mitigating circumstance for killing your child and hiding the body for a month while you party and go clubbing, really? After 3 years of trying to come up with an explanation, this is all Baez has?
However, as reported at the Nancy Grace Entertainment Show … sorry, I only jokingly say this as it was the ridiculous phrase that Jose Baez has used to describe Nancy Grace. The mitigating questions were in relation to the sentencing phase which means that Casey would have to have been found guilty of first degree murder.This line of questionsing is hardly going to make the tot mom’s mom and dad, Cindy and Geroge Anthony happy campers.

Mitigating factors remained in the spotlight Thursday afternoon at jury selection for Casey Anthony’s murder trial. Defense attorney Anne Finnell continued to ask prospective jurors whether they would consider issues like age, immaturity, childhood abuse, family dysfunction or brain development in deciding on a sentence. These are all factors that the defense might raise during the penalty phase if Anthony is convicted of the murder of her 2-year-old daughter Caylee.
What fireworks are going to fly when Casey Anthony defense attorney Jose Baez makes these allegations in his opening statement when this case starts. We always knew when push came to shove and Casey “its all about me” Anthony would push George under the bus. It appears that it will happen, what will the Anthony’s do and how will they react?
However, Casey still cannot explain away all of the evidence and if its just mitigating the damages of a sentence after being convicted of first degree murder, TEAM CASEY should have taken a plea deal in the beginning that this potential outcome.

Casey Sexual abused by her father, brother, grandfather, friend of the family? Then her split personality ZANY is explained. Zany killed Caylee not Casey. I feel Geroge Anthony is a perfect escape goat. He even tried to kill himself out of guilt.
So, a few questions for the DUHFENSE to explain to the Jury would be:
What happened to the kidnapping scheme and Zanny the Nanny theory?
If Casey was sexually abused by Lee and George during her childhood—why didn’t SINDY Anthony do anything about it?
If these allegations are true—how does that explain killing your child-giving her chloroform, then wrapping duct tape around her head and dumping her in the woods like she was a bag of trash?
Personally, I love seeing Casey the Murderer throw George’s lame ass under the bus. Maybe this also explains why Lee has been silent for so long.
If this is all Baez the Clown and Foghorn Leghorn have to offer the State, they are in big trouble.
RIP Caylee Marie Anthony—the trial for your murdering POS “Mother” shall be starting in a few days.

During the trial Casey takes the stand and the defense questions her about Lee and George sexually abusing her. Then the Prosecutor asks her his first question:
Prosecutor: Miss Anthony when you were being sexually abused by your father and your brother, did you have a working lock on your bedroom door?
Casey: Uh, yes I did.
Prosecutor: Your Honor, the Prosecution rests.
Not long after being arrested Casey requested a one-on-one meeting with George. George immediately goes to the jail to meet with her in hopes of her giving him the answer as to Caylees whereabouts. Once George is at the jail, Casey changes her mind and refuses to meet with him. I wonder if the defense will now use this to their advantage by saying Casey actually called George to the jail to confront him of the sexual abuse and then out of fear,she backs out of the meeting.
Nothing is ever Casey’s fault. Always has some poor me excuse. Yes her family appears to be very dysfunctional, but the whole molestation meme seems false.
Don’t believe the molestation BS.
The DUHFENSE has nowhere to go…absolutely nowhere. Think also that George Anthony did help Casey to get rid of his own Granddaughter. Lee is definetly a wierdo…that whole family is all sorts of effed up.

It has already been confirmed by family and Casey’s friends that she is a compulsive liar. Not much more needs to be said.
What I do see is an extremely disfunctional family who enabled her and never corrected her properly to turn her selfish behavior around. Other than that, they didn’t really do anything terribly wrong up until they chose to close their eyes to her crime of murder.
I just noticed the state of Florida is paying for the defense team for Casey Anthony, why is she still allowed the counsel $$$$$ of Jose Baer too?
Have just picked up reading Scared Monkeys about her trial jury selection excuse me if this answer was already discussed. This has gone on way too long trying to prove she is not a liar and child killer.
