First there was the not-so National Anthem performed by Christina Aguilera when she decided that reciting lines twice and making up words was better than the real thing while performing at Super Bowl XLV. Then there was the stumble at the Grammy’s. Now Christina Aguilera is arrested for public intoxication after her boyfriend was pulled over and arrested for a DUI.

Rutler was arrested on suspicion of DUI and later released on $5,000 bail. Sheriff’s officials didn’t know if Rutler had hired an attorney.
McSweeney said Aguilera appeared too drunk to care for herself and had no driver to take her home. She was arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public so she could be held at the West Hollywood sheriff’s station, he said.
Whitmore did not know much the 5-foot-2, 100-pound Aguilera may have been drinking.
She was given a breath test but the results will not be made public because she had no criminal intent and will not be prosecuted, he said. However, the misdemeanor arrest will remain on her record.
According tyo reports, Sheriff’s spokesman Steve Whitmore said Aguilera “didn’t really understand where she was” but was cooperative. She was later released. However, Christina Aguilera is saved in the Hollywood media blitz of stories because her name is not Charlie Sheen.

No, she is not Charlie Sheen…Not even close! She was intoxicated riding as a passenger in a car, not smoking crack and and carrying on like a douche and causing people to lose work and then going on a media blitz to discredit everybody else but poor little victim charlie.
I have not seen anything in her public image where she is against partying and riding in a car so I can’t hold it against her.
The media acts like she was stumbling around the streets drunk and covered in puke. They wish.
How rude….she was a passenger in a car; an arrest for public intoxication for that is just a pr(edit) move.

SM: I think the problem was that she could not take care of herself and they could not just leave her there as she was bombed out of her mind. Public intoxication is a charge; however, i believe it was stated they would not prosecute.
