Despicable: CBS News Reporter Lara Logan Sexually Assaulted & Beaten by Group of Egyptian Men During Anti-Mubarak, Freedom Protests

PEACE AND FREEDOM???

On the very day that Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak stepped down, we learn that CBS’ foreign correspondent Lara Logan was covering the story in Tahrir Square for a “60 Minutes,” was separated from her news crew, surrounded by a group of men and savagely sexual assaulted and beaten. She was flown back to the United States and is in a New York hospital recovering. Little more is being said.

In the crush of the mob, she was separated from her crew. She was surrounded and suffered a brutal and sustained sexual assault and beating before being saved by a group of women and an estimated 20 Egyptian soldiers. She reconnected with the CBS team, returned to her hotel and returned to the United States on the first flight the next morning. She is currently home recovering.

In a word, sickening! Has their ever been a news event that was supposed to be based on freedom where so many journalist covering the story were put in danger and attacked? Lara Logan had earlier been detained in Egypt. I have to agree with Jammie Wearing Fool regarding … so this is how peace loving Egyptians celebrate their freedom from a dictator, with a good old fashion “gang rape” of an American female infidel.

What might be just as sickening, from NRO comes a report of  the reaction to Logan’s assault from a fellow at the NYU Center for Law and Security, Nir Rosen.

But let’s just remember one thing going forward: Nir Rosen believed this was the right moment to let the world know that he “ran out of sympathy for her” and that we should “remember her role as a major war monger” and that we “have to find humor in the small things.”

…despicable, sickening yet not surprising whatsoever given the natural state of mind people of that culture.

As for the human debris described as Nir Rosen, he is part and parcel of that mentality as well. Just because you have brains, Mr. Nir, doesn’t mean YOU are not simple, pure and unadulterated pigsh*t.

Yeah, that’s exactly what you are!

if our terrorist friendly government would stop supporting these bastard dogs, there would be no need for Americans to be there.

…and, off topic but relevant anyway, is Fox network’s shameless propaganda tool using LAST YEAR’S reaction to Ron Paul winning the CPAC straw poll. This year’s raucous approval of his winning was not and probably will not be played.

Nice move, Foxy baby! Joseph Goebbels would be most proud, indeed!

I don’t buy this so called rape and beating … I think the US is mad they lost their puppet Mubarak and they want the Egyptian people to look bad … so they made up the cock and bull story.

They did it with Jessica Lynch, and Pat Tillman.

Logan will most likely get promoted for this lie.

The US government and corporate news media have got to be the biggest hypocrites that walk the earth.

PT Barum was right there are suckers born every minute.

GOD BLESS THE BRAVE EGYPTIAN PATRIOTS THAT HAD THE GUT TO STAND UP TO TYRANNY.

Something the people in the US won’t do.

This is a revolution of muslim people who have no respect for women and think of them as chattel without rights or value.

Why would a news organization allow female reporters to stay in a country with this known behavior during this time? I say shame on CBS.

She is very lucky to be alive.

The premeditated rape and brutalization of Ms. Logan as manifested by these Muslim bastards was pure terrorism endorsed and sanctioned by Islamic core teachings and doctrine. It was not just an isolated attack on Ms. Logan, it was a terrorist attack intended to send and instill a message of fear to all Kafir women in order to demonstrate Islamic control, dominance, and total subjugation. Muhammad’s favorite sex slave was a white woman, and since Muslim men choose to emulate Muhammad in his words and deeds, Ms. Logan was unfortunately, in their twisted and sick way of thinking, the logical “target of opportunity.” Deepest sympathy and prayers go out to Ms. Logan and her family. As to the Muslim bastards who did this to her, they should be hunted down like the criminals that they are…plain and simple.

#6 ~ Did you ever read the book: Boots on the Ground? I wept after reading and learning what happened to Pat Tillman and believe he was murdered and it was covered up… (perhaps that was what you were referring to, a cover up?)…

I also believe that this reporter was assaulted and harmed. Opinions are just that… …
I believe this woman reporter was in fact sexually assaulted… ~ the U.S. doesn’t have to make Egypt “look bad” those involved in this heinous crime with this female reporter did a good job at looking bad all by themselves and were bad in their actions against an innocent woman, who happened to be from the U.S. I happen to have friends living in Alexandria, Egypt and they are respectful decent people and surely are not happy about what happened to this reporter and were not happy with the dictatorship of Mubarak robbing their countrymen of Billions of dollars… this country is still in a very vulnerable situation to be taken by those who do not have the interest of it’s people and I pray that stability comes quickly, and does not get in the wrong hands.

Pat Tillman, God rest his soul… served our country well ~ as all those fallen soldiers have that have served the U.S.of A… they gave the ultimate sacrifice, their lives ~ so we may all continue to live free in in our country that allows us the right to maintain our freedom of speech…and freedom, period and bless those in the media who go on foreign soil to report what they see and are experiencing first hand… even a female foreign reporter had recently resigned in Egypt as truth was not being told and I applaud her (her name escapes me at the moment) and I also applaud those who do tell truth and they are not hypocrites, they are reporting fact ~ whether it’s blacked out by whatever Government is not the fault of the reporter, it is that of the Government that wishes not to put truth forth…there are those who have also lost their lives as journalists for doing just that, Russia has a lot of them that have been removed from Russian society and truth still prevails and their stories are still being told….

There are still those here who do take a courageous stand for what this country stands for one in particular comes to mind ~ Jan Brewer ~ good for her for having the jabongs that most in our Government don’t… and she’s fighting very hard for AZ and our country…

Elections are just around the corner and folks are tired of the B.S. and many will send a message with their vote and be civil about it.

So when are you going to remove “Gateway Pundit” from your blog roll SM’s???? What Jim Hoft said was as bad as this guy. I’m assuming you won’t be linking to them either.
That would be the standup thing to do, no?
      ______________
SM: What would you know about stand up things to do Yoyo, the answer is no and you hardly tell or suggest anything that we do. Back to your cave now and go read Media Matters and the rest of the parasite BS they spew.

These were goverment paid thugs, not the average Egyptian civilian. The same kind of thugs they used to try to quel the protests.

there were numerous reports of journalists being assualted (and we only here about the western ones).

At one point no journalist could leave their hotel, because those thugs were waiting on the otherside of the street.

…misguided as you may be, I read what Jim Hoft stated vs the thuggish remarks of the Muslim enabler Rosen.

Jim Hoft questioned the wisdom of her actions which was a fair question to ask. He rightfully analyzed the explosive conditions there and wondered why the others in the media were so naive as to not recognize the environment that was around them at that time. He immediately shared with the rest of us his disgust with the Neanderthals’ brutal treatment and subsequent abuse of Ms Logan.

Rosen, on the other hand, not only took glee in her assault, he wished the same happened to another reporter. Whatever political persuasion we are, as decent human beings in an American democratic society, we do not wish violence upon those simply because their views are not in lockstep with ours.

Those who do think that way are totalitarian in nature, closer to the taliban and al queda than the Red, White and Blue.

So comparing what Mr Hoft blogged as opposed to Rosen is not only simplistic, it’s par for the course with the spinning tops of your ilk.

…the pathetic and guttter slut remarks of Debbie Schlussel does not go unnoticed either and should sicken any decent human being of Christian or Judaic values…

“Schlussel continued, “How fitting that Lara Logan was ‘liberated’ by Muslims in Liberation Square while she was gushing over…the ‘liberation.’…Hope you’re enjoying the revolution, Lara! Praise Allah!”"
      quote from http://www.nydailynews.com/news/national/2011/02/17/2011-02-17_violated_then_betrayed_which_is_worse_egyptian_sex_assault_or_us_pundits_saying_.html

Yeah, enjoying gang rape and torture…I guess I shouldn’t expect any more or less from a creature like her.

Little Debbie is the epitome of a “ghetto wh*re” when she takes glee in that type of violence against another who doesn’t think like her. I definitely see her as one closer to the totalitarian thinking of the North Korean government than the United States of America, which she apparently hates.
