Egypt VP Omar Suleiman Assassination Attempt, Two Bodyguards Killed

Assassination attempt on Egyptian VP Omar Suleiman …

So much for the peaceful transition of government in Egypt. With little MSM coverage, we learn from FOX News that there was an assassination attempt on newly appointed VP Omar Suleiman that left two of his body guards dead. Robert Gibbs, the White House Press Secretary was asked by reporters as to the assassination attempt. Gibbs declined to address the issue saying, “I’m not going to … get into that question.”

VIDEO at Mediaite.

Such an attempt on the life of Omar Suleiman would mark an alarming turn in the uprising against the government of President Hosni Mubarak, who only recently named Suleiman as vice president in an effort to quell the unrest and possibly line up a successor.

White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs declined to address the assassination reports when asked by Fox News.

“I’m not going to … get into that question,” Gibbs said. Sulieman blamed foreigners and political opponents within the Muslim Brotherhood for 10 days of turmoil that has rocked the nation.

More from the Gateway Pundit and other sources where the assasination attempt was descriibed as organized. Suleiman was named on the January 30, 2011 VP and according to accounts the assasination attempt was on the very next day. The MSM never picked up on the story.

The attack was described by the official as “organized” and occurred during a motorcade movement. It was not yet confirmed if Suleiman was present at the time.

“It’s amazing this hasn’t been picked up … because he is the transition plan, or at least one of them for the Egyptians,” the official said

Ok, so Mubarak just publicly states a few days ago he will not step down until the “end of his term” in September because he is afraid of even more chaos.

Uhhmnnnn, HELLO????? Now if this Assasination attempt does not give Mubarak (The Stubborn and now borderline Ignorant one) the biggest hint in the World that the Egyptians are in a TOTAL STATE OF ANARCHY now! today! every second of every minute and worsening! &… they are OBVIOUSLY NOT waiting one moment longer for an IMMEDIATE change- Then, respectfully, Mr. President of Egypt- please visit your Psychologist immediately because you truly need your head examined.

Geeeeeeez!!!!!!!! As for the Egyptians now as members of the human race, it’s really difficult to look at all the violence, death and insanity going on over there right now. Children, Mothers, families…Dear Lord it is a terrible thing to witness.

The Muslim Brotherhood is not interested in a smooth democratic transition.

Plan One: An overthrow of the present dictorial regime and … establish another dictatorship … a dictatorship that will further the Islamic worldwide agenda … a dictatorship that will not tolerate America and Israel.

Plan Two: ONE corrupt election to pacify the court of public opinion … ONE corrupt election that will insure that the Muslim Brotherhood will emerge victorious.

Think about Israel’s silence regarding the current uprising in Egypt. The leadership realizes that the present dictorial regime next door is the best of two evils. Mubarak has allowed Israel to exist as the only democracy in the region … the Muslim Brotherhood will not.

#2- Janet- You are exactly correct. I marvel at how astutely stated and accurate your political knowledge and insight is….completely agree with your assessment above.

It’s mind numbing and when you really think of Plan One, specifically since–Plan One is the first choice that of course will be pushed for the hardest, IMO.

Either way, neither one is a good outcome for Egypt as the outrageously high corruption has been rampant there for so very long and will continue to be so in either case.

Excuse the “french”, but Dictatorships suck big time!

It does not take intelligence to comprehend. It only takes the ability to google “Muslim Brotherhood” and realize that the writing is on the wall.

My very wise and gentle Japanese FIL had it figured out when in the 1950′s when Canadians were encourage to conserve natural resources and refrain from polluting the environment by switiching from wood and coal central heating to gas/oil. After all … gas/oil obtain from “third world” countries was obtained very cheap. Something akin to the early settlers of North American buying land from the Natives for trinkets.

My insightful FIL recognized that it was only a matter of time before dependence on oil would put the Muslim world in a position of strength … a position to hold Israel and “infindel” nations of the world hostage.

In the mid 60′s when I met my husband as a young teenager … he shared with me his father’s beliefs regarding his projected outcome of dependence on Mid East oil and … I rolled my eyes. However … approximately 45 years later … I see the light.

NGBoston … I hope you are having a good Super Bowl Sunday.
